I ordered the Buzz w/ extras ( the 2 batteries, charger, and the dripper :)
I think I made a mistake in NOT getting more batteries as I am a heavy vaper and can't wait for those 2 to charge.
I have been using the Joye 510 ecig for last 7 mos. It is my first ecig. The Buzz is my 2nd and my first mod.
What are the best attys to use with the buzz? How about dripping or not. I don't understand the dripping but I want to get the most out of my soon to be new enjoyment (the Buzz)? What do u suggest I have on hand with the Buzz? Should I also go ahead and order the voltage tester for later? Thanks e1!

I would think you'd want at least 2 sets of batteries. I have four, probably overkill, but I cycle them through and they won't go to waste. I also have a second charger.

The variable voltage of the Buzz helps you get the most out of any atty you choose. Really a matter of personal preference. Low resistance atties aren't necessary with a variable voltage mod, and since they generally don't last as long as regular ones, probably not the most economical option.

From what I've seen on the threads most folks that have vaped a while either drip or use carto's or both. You don't mention what you do now, but if you bump the voltage up, standard carts may not keep the atty wet enough. They didn't work very well for me even at the standard 3.2 volts of the Joye 510. Lots of threads and opinions on this in the general areas of this forum since it's an issue common to all pv's.

and get a cheap digital meter, the cheaper the better, Harbor Freight has one for $6, pick them up on sale for less than $3. ANY digital meter will work.
get some more 510's and drip tips, just start with that and see what you like.
Oh ya, get a meter, trust me, and the next time you order from Mike get the attachment to read the buzz to a meter, lots better than sticking the meter probes into the buzz. That's untill he gets a LED to showing the voltage, JUST KIDDING, that's not going to happen, it's a fitting problem. Just buy the meter

Thank you for the timely conversation.

I am awaiting my Buzz. It should be arriving from Australia any day and I had some of the same questions. Mine is arriving with 4 batteries. I ordered extra batteries and a battery charger from NotCig. That arrived in just a couple days (fast shipping).

Need to get a meter. Will pop over to Home Depot and see what I can find.

I use 510's now, so hopefully my atty's will work in my Buzz. I am SO excited. This is my first mod.

I bought that HF meter on sale for $3.99 and I must say it works like a champ! I compared it to my high dollar fluke meter and was getting the exact same readings. I can't even believe they can make something like this for that price.

I would probably go nuts without the meter, I use it all the time(I was born to tinker)

CarolinaCurl - I agree. I think we came to the right decision in purchasing a Buzz. Mine is slightly used and in perfect condition. Came with some extras. It came up for sale here at ECF and I jumped on it as soon as I saw it.

Had previously looked into the Buzz. Followed a few conversations here about the Buzz. Came to the conclusion awhile back that the Buzz would be a good Mod.

I'm sure we will have a learning curve with it. The people here at this forum will most likely help us as we stumble our way through the first few days of using the Buzz.

It is nice to meet you. We need to stay in touch and keep each other updated on our BUZZ happenings and progress :)

Yes, it's best to have a meter (cheap of course), but really, you'll get your Buzz set at 4.5 volts if new (and hopefully your used one was reset back there for you or the seller can tell you where it is). Just stick your atty on there and vape away. After a bit, if it seems like it's a bit too harsh/hot, take your screwdriver and turn it a full turn to the left (counterclockwise). If the Buzz is a bit too cool, turn it a full turn to the right. One full turn really isn't a drastic change. You'll very soon get the feel of it and probably park it right there for a while. Like I said, a meter is nice, if for nothing more than curiosity, but you can "play it by ear" just fine. What's easier, a number or a feel when you're vaping with the thing? The number means nothing until you vape with it anyway. Make sense?

I've used every kind of atty and carto on the Buzz and some of them need an adapter it depends on the fitting you ordered. I use pretty much strictly cartos now. As far as a meter goes I think after the testing I used it once. I just set the level where it vapes the best. I have 4 sets of batteries but you don't need that many. As long as you have one set for vaping and one set for charging you'll be fine.

Thank you, Mike Buzz,
I was leary of posting in this thread because I did not purchase a brand new Buzz.

I purchased this one: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/classifieds-swaps/122369-gold-buzz-package.html I'm a 510'er so figured this set up would work well with my atty's and drip tips. My Buzz is not here yet. It takes a bit to get packages from Australia to Arizona. Should arrive this week.

Did not know if this was the place to talk about second-time-around Buzz's. Already ordered my batteries and batt charger from you. They arrived in 2 days (fast shipping).

I am so excited. Thanks, Mike, for your offer of support. This is my first Mod. I think I made a good decision, don't you?

PS - Carol & I have been pm'ing each other. I am getting a new Buzz and making a new friend. Life is good.

Good to hear PKJ ! , that package was a good deal IMO . Shipping from Australia takes some time via USPS I think it took 2 weeks + to get from here to there.

Yours is only the 3rd Buzz I have seen in the ads

Like I said , ask away, people here are very cool and helpful

Oh download the Manual and the voltage chart ! this will help you to get to know the unit and how to set the voltage without a voltmeter. there is a thread on this forum that has the info .

:thumb:I have been getting a full day of use on one set of batteries since June. I change out first thing every morning. I would suggest 3 sets and 2 chargers. I've used all kinds of atties and no problems with any. I use the voltmeter every day. I would also suggest adapters to allow for 510, 901 and 808 vaping.

My son broke his Buzz, sent it in for repairs and got it back in 7 days. That's from SC. Can't say enough good things about the service this company provides.
I love my Buzz.:thumb:

Thank you, Everyone, for looking at my purchase. It is not often you find one on the Sale / Swap forum here. That says something for the product. People get them and love them and hang onto them. People don't hang on to something they don't like or that does not perform properly.

The seller, Andrew, actually reduced it to $135. I looked at pricing on the Buzz website, tried to figure out what all the accessories were and the approx cost. Yes, I feel I got a good deal on this package. I also feel confident with the seller. He was very upfront, prompt, and courteous throughout this transaction. I judged him to be an upstanding character and then I sent the money. It's kinda scary when you are a first timer trying something like this with a private seller.

I'm pretty sure I ordered the right batteries and charger from Buzz. I ordered 4 batteries and 1 charger unit. That will give me a total of 8 batteries (4 new, 4 gently used). I hope that will keep me Buzzing. Probably should look at having a back up charger. Will put that on the to-do list.

I think my package deal comes with 510 & 901 caps. I feel very confident that the seller will have everything as listed in my package. If not, I know I can always pop over to the Buzz website and grab what I need. They ship FAST! and it will be here in a couple days.

Lord help me, but I'm actually thinking I should grab one of those 'bargain' scratch & dent or whatever they are called, Buzz's as a back up. I don't even HAVE mine yet and I'm already worried about a back up. What's wrong with this picture ????
Thanks again, everyone for your support.
HI CAROL - we are one day closer to our Buzz

Told you my seller was an excellent communicator
(and fast, too) Here is the order number.
Order Number: 268
Order Date: Friday, 06 August 2010

Looks to me like there might still be a bit of warranty left. What do you think?

Will I need a bill of sale or a statement from my seller for warranty transfer?
If yes, will an email from my seller suffice?

I swear everything I am telling you is the truth. Andrew is a top-notch fellow and I'm sure he would be ok if the warranty gets transferred to me.

Advise please,
Paula
