No I twisted the legs of the coil legs to cut the resistance in half(approx) instead of using NR, because it was easier and I wanted the stiffness.

I'm talking about 3 times higher than you can pry it up, and the legs of the coil would get red hot otherwise.

Maybe 2 times, trying to match the distance from the air outlet to the coil with the same from an Oddy, just an experiment

That's cool, does the base of the 3.1 come off and if so can you take it off with juice in it?

The base is a collector cup, if you remove the screw it comes off

Would love to hear the results, but I'm guessing that the Venturi effect created by angling the air hole within the collector tank accounts for more of the difference between KF and Ody than the distance of the wick/coil from the air inlet.

Loving this kayfun so far, got a brushed one on the way too but I may end up trading the ceramic one as I don't need two with the capacity of these

close the air hole with your finger, unscrew the top and drain the liquid, either with a syringe or upside down into a bottle....

I think the 2 times 3.5 is too much gonna try 1 x 3.5 when I get home

I'm getting dry hits There doesn't seem to be any pressure equalization. If I unscrew the cap a little and let bubbles come up it will work as expected for a little, then back to dry hits.

You probably have too much wick stuffed on top of the channel openings or still using the pre-installed coil

I don't think it's the wick. I trimmed it down so it just lays in there, no stuffing required. Probably about as much or slightly less wick than it came with.

I just emptied it out and filled it up again, but filled it less than before. I saw some bubbles come up when I hit it, which wasn't happening before. I'll see how that goes. I can't really take more than 3 of 4 hits in a row before getting slammed with nic haha.

Here is a good example of when the coil is well fed it stays much cleaner, it's only a day old but used a lot , ,9 ohms, 30 gauge, 3.5 mm silica.

Here I have twisted the legs to get the coil higher without having hot legs, working good but still testing. 1.1 ohms, 30 gauge, 3 mm silica
