I am prepared with Ekowool (a variety of widths) and 0.6mm ribbon kanthal in transit. I now have shipping notices both for the Mini 2.1 and the 3.1. I'm hoping the satin finish (β) is a good match to my ice-matte Dingo/Roller - but I won't really care about the looks as much as the touted performance.

I have tried ribbon, not enough space to get above 1 ohm with the 0.6. I tried the 0.5 also and it is too tight.
For now I am really happy with 30 AWG, 4 wraps at 1.2 ohm, brilliant vape!!

Plenty of 32g wire on-hand too. :) I have my bases covered to get it up and running as soon as it is out of the box.

I figured it would be a tight fit with the ribbon Kanthal. Oh well, I'll give it a try once I get my 3.1 in. Maybe a dual coil in series if I can figure out how to get it to fit.

I just put in another coil of 28 gauge Kanthal, this one's .9 ohms with Stormy's 3 mm silica
The way I'm able to fit that many wraps (only a 6/7) is I wind the wire on a shaft and the roll a mall piece of thin foil on the end of the silica similar to the end of a shoestring and thread it through, it work well when you have little room and a lot of wraps.
Normally I just put the silica with a sewing nettle and just wrap it, I usually can see where the nettle was in the coil after I pull it out, next time I use a nettle I'm going to stick it down the center of the wick to insure it comes out round instead of oval shaped.

Was a bit worried when i saw mentioned they had oversold, but then i got an order processing e-mail :)
Do any of you run it in 15ml beast mode? I'd worry if my coil would last that long, or wether I'd manage to vape just one juice for that long..
But still, I find myself wanting to buy the extension pieces :laugh:

I think that with very clear juice like tobacco flavors it should be no problem at all;

With other redish and brown juice,nope....the coil will gunk up after about 10ml...still usable but flavor mixed with burning gunk aint my thing :)

So I've been using my brushed 3.1 for about 2 weeks now exclusively and I think it's the best atty for vapor and flavor compared to any that I've tried in the past! After you get past the learning curve with wick length and filling this thing vapes like a dream! And is super super consistent. I tried my ol faithful Penelope again today and although I still think its a great atty, the flavor seems so muted against the kayfun and vapor production is about double it seems like! Needless to say... I am very impressed! And can't wait to get my matching semovar to go with this beast!

Heh,been saying it for mooonths :laugh:

Glad you got one and satisfied!

How about telling us a little about wick type, wire, ohms, volts

The provided braided wick (hint of bad taste for a few puffs at first but it goes away soonish),7 wraps of 32 kanthal at 7.4 to 8 watts max on the semovar with any juice.

What I do for 7 wraps is as usual;

I torch my wire prior to coiling it,make a tightly spaced coil,mount the assembly then space out the coils evenly so they dont touch the ''chimney'' when fully assembled;typically gives me 2.6 to 3 ohms.

They come from factory with about 2.6 ohms coils,which is my sweet spot at 7.4 watts

Being i'm using a mechanical mod and the supplied wire appears equivalent to 34 gauge as far as ohms per inch so I'm not able to use it in the Kayfun. Since the wick and wire was so neat looking I decided to put some in my Terminator just now to see how it is. I was concern if the NR would twist with it OK and it did, it seems like good stuff. 30 and 32 is what I normally use in my Terminators but 34's OK too.

I guess I should rig this(Kayfun) up to check the voltage drop to calculate the wattage but it might scare me to know, it really doesnt seem too hot though

Nothing special... 4/5 wrap on 3.5 mm silica wick with 32 g a1. It usually ohms out to about 1.8-2.2 ohms that I get working great on my provari mini. Right now i have a 1.9 ohm coil at 5.0 volts 13 Watts Huge clouds and flavor! I want a mechanical mod as well but love being able to wrap a coil with little to no thought about it and have it work great. I have the Martha Stewart hemp cotton wick that I have not tried yet! Has anybody tried this yet on an Rba? If so how is it?
