This is a public service message for anyone who wants a kayfun in the US vaperev has them instock on phone order but not on their website. I just ordered one earlier today and got overnight shipping. !!!!!!! i should have it in a day. I CANT WAIT!!!!!!1

First off let me say this was a long time coming for me and I pulled the trigger last night on a kayfun 3.1 es thru vape rev i got it overnighted and it will be here tomorow afternoon. So this brings me to the point of this thread.
Kayfun owners lend me your knowledge.
What are some tips and tricks you wished you knew when you first got your 3.1?
What wicking material do you prefer? i have ekowool, Silica, SS mesh, And xc-116.
What type of wicks are you making?
What pg/vg mix does the mighty kayfun prefer to drink?

Im not pleased with my kayfun so far ):
I may have been spoiled by my dual ss mesh nimbus. The flavor im getting off the kf is nowhere near as close.
My kayfun is setup with a 2 layer 2mm silica with 5 wraps 28g at 0.7 ohms
Does anyone have a good ss mesh setup for the kayfun?

sounds to me like you may be a bit tight if you only get .7 with 5 wraps of 28g over 2 layers. maybe try to loosen a bit and let that juice travel to the coils for one. that'll increase flavor. second make sure don't over compress (compact) too much the loose ends on the side. that'll make juice flow more difficult. I'm currently running a simple 3mm braided cotton wick at .9 with the same 5 wraps. it shoots well, flavors great. if you going to go sub ohm with it, you need to work the juice flow really well.

I was running a dual coil @ .8 ohm with 28g the other day and the vapor/flavor was amazing. Drippers will always have the edge flavor wise but once you get the Kayfun running right with a good tuck it is pretty close to a dripper. IMO the Kayfun shines with usability and I will gladly give up a tad flavor to leave the Dripping and Driving to others.
I got some ekowool and wanted to try it out. Next time I remake it I will throw a pic up

Yup downside is it takes from a few to several weeks to get something shipped from Russia. Upside? You get a Kayfun
