Easy enough... How long does it take for the plane to pressurize? 30 mins from takeoff or so? And I guess when it's DEpressurizing, there'll be no problem, as air will be sucked *into* the tank.

i assume as soon as the doors are sealed the plane begins to pressurize... but not sure.
no idea on the de pressurizing, i would store it upside down as soon as the descent begins?

I think it is just a matter of time until we can get a glass tank for the kayfun using 3D printing.

Let's print some glass tanks.

Even without 3D glass printing, what they can do now is to make a version of the tank the same way Kanger's ProTank is made, i.e., the glass part is not threaded, but pressed in or "glued" between two metal pieces.

I was thinking the same thing. like how the protanks glass is put together.

if it is upside down with the fill hole up while the plane is pressurizing then the excess air in the tank will be pushed out not the juice.

i had the same problem with the protanks when i drive up and down cali going thru the mountains. It would leak going both up and down the mountains. i would say just leave it upside down till the plane has reached cruising altitude in the air and till the plane has fully landed.

Do you torch the wick at a maximum temperature?

At first, I also almost ordered the Benzomatic butane (3x refined), but I did a bit of reading and decided to try Vector 5x Refined Premium Butane Gas, lots of good reviews and plenty of inventory on Ebay.

I'll make a note of that,It may be better than Benzomatic.

Question for all Kayfun masters: I've been having problems with my Kayfun mini leaking. Running on my 7th tank now and never has it not leaked. Big leaks, small leaks, it leaks! I've tried more wick, less wick, 90% full of juice, 50% juice. I've checked the o-ring under the top cap, I've filled it through the vent hole (tip pointing down) and through the top following all the tips on this thread (cover air hole, turn upright slowly).

My latest build, I think I've got the wick just right, wrapping around the ledge and not blocking the grooves. It vapes and tastes well, lots of flavor and vapor. But 10 minutes after I stand it up, I start seeing liquid form around the draw adjustment screw. Not a lot, but enough to drip over my mod if I left it alone. The draw adjustment is maybe one a half turns from completely closed so I dont know if thats the problem. Now I've resorted to resting it on its side. This Kayfun vapes great but this having to lie it down on the side isn't supposed to be required, is it?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys

I am far from being a Kayfun master, but have you checked the collector tank at the bottom? Is there any juice there?

Thanks for the reply Dan. The mini doesn't have a collector tank. However I do know the evap chamber gets flooded because it gets gurgly when i take a drag on it. I blow it out if it gets bad but after a while, it gets flooded again.

Waiting for my KF 3.1 to arrive soon so I want to understand where I'm going wrong with this mini

Anyone use a metal, blunt tipped syringe to fill a 3.1?

I dont want to damage it.. My unit did not ship with a plastic needle/bottle from vaperev.

If you don't want to damage it,Do not use a metal blunt tip. You could use something like this:The GotVapes Convenience Fill Kit - 10ml Plastic Tip [gv-Convenience10mlKit-PlasticTip] - $1.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

Look around, It took me 1 minute to find that .So look around and find what you need.

Perhaps there is a pressurization issue, but from my limited knowledge, if it gurgles, there is an issue with the way it is filled.

My 3.1 ES gurgled (but did not leak) every time I tried filling it from the top cap, and the collector tank had a pretty good amount of juice in it. Once I started filling it upside down through the valve, no gurgling and the collector tank is dry.

If filling it from the top cap, I think it is not enough to close the air hole, the chimney's pipe needs to be plugged too. The reason I think this is because of this video. It is in German, but I think it is self-explanatory. Fast forward to 16 minutes 45 second to see how he fills the mini from the top.

what are you folks wrapping your kayfuns with

right now im doing 1mm eko wool x 3 , 5 wraps and im ohming out at 1.4ohm

still burning juice on my poldiac on a fresh batt

any other setup suggestions ?

I actually triple-layer 2mm silica and wrap about 1.4 ohms too. The silica I use keeps up with wicking quite well. Also it seems like the vacuum improves as you continue to use kayfun so try doing some dry drags to encourage the pressure

1.4 ohm should not be a burning juice issue... did you look and fire it before you put the top caps on? Could be a wicking issue; thats my guess... dry hits.
Clogging the inlet grooves with wick?
