Should of been more clear. All of the pieces aside from the electronics. How they fit, are they seemless? etc. You showed the interior of the tube and it is how I would guage a bit of quality.
It seemed you loved it and pushed me closer. Im just a bit ocd in exterior looks and feel as it is 1/2 of the exp to me

I think he said something along the lines of "If you've experienced the craftsmanship/machine work of the kayfun than you know exactly what to experience."

What is the consensus on best resistance range for Kayfun3.1?

I've got a .66 ohms 28g Kanthal / Ekowool like 1.5mm looped... on a mech device, and its a bit too hot half the time.
Thinking of going up to about 1.0 ohms...

Gave up using Pluid in it as it bloated the top cap o ring and it won't stay put.

Is the Semovar regulated?

On my Kayfun 3.1 ES the top piece with the screw for the wire that sits on the plastic standoff rotates (the little metal block the screw is tapped into). Is this normal? If not, how can I secure it? Thank you.

[Edit: For anybody else who runs into this, I figured it out. You tighten down the center post while holding that block stationary, then you can back it out and it stays relatively firm.]

Hi guys i got a problem (again). I have 1mm ekowool 30gauge kanthal @ .9 ohms. It was working fine. Right now its wicking good, lots of vape clouds, but juice taste burnt. Why? Im barely on my second tank
Maybe it is the juice, not your setup. Some juices (usually dark juices or very sweet juices) produce a build up on a coil quickly.

I agree, my fruitier juices generally dont gunk so fast. Now vanilla custartd, gorilla glaze, anything dessert I have are normally coil gunkers. One tank of gorilla glaze blackened my coil.

also what mod are you vaping on ? VV or mech. Ive found .9 on my mech mod, with 1mm it has a hard time keeping up. I did a .9 ohm coil but with a total of 5mm of 1mm ekowool. works reasonably well.

i'm still a kayfun rookie but my fav setup so far has been a 10wrap microcoil using 28g and a total of 2mm eko wool.1.1 ohm good flavor, good vapor production, and i can keep wicking with it.

if your used to making really fat wicks, its a different mindset I guess. The Nimbus I have has so much headroom that I can fold over 3mm wick twice and it still has room.

I was getting a burnt flavor with .66 ohm, two wraps of eko wool 2mm, raised it to 1.3 Ohms and 2 wraps of Xs116 (silica nextel) and its a lot better....Kayfun 3.1 ...

Grants Vanilla Custard is meant for silica and i think its best in that resistance too...

yeah its a different beast. still trying to find the perfect setup for my mech. the micro coil works well on my VV mods. On my mech its not so awesome on a fresh batt. cant wick fast enough for the pulls that im used too. if I take short pulls its fine. if I take anything longer. But once the batt goes down a tad I can use it on my mech no issues

still trying to figure out my new Nimbus... 2 double wraps of doubled eko; 28g 4wrap... .6 ohms.... feels like a heat sink... and seems to need more air... i washed the wick and dry burned the coils (in one hot water bath) cleaned right up and it is better, but still trying figure this out.... my Forge clone triple post with much smaller wick it kicking ........ just one air hole; but its like instant gratification, and just one 1.5mm air hole; smaller chamber might have something to do with it.... tmi?

btw this going up in resistance and down in watts especially for the Kayfun, has me rethinking all the regulated devices i put way up on the shelf lately....hehheh
