Yes I use a slightly lighter one which is 3.0 ohms a foot so you can build a bit higher...its a must have with BBs imo
:)
Is the USB input on the SXK 70 w BB a charge port? I plugged it in to a 5V 2A adapter but didnt get a battery charging indication. Apologies if this question is off piste. I'm still new to ecf and a little unsure of process

Per Paypal I sent my damn thing back to FT. Just as well because I would have fiddled with it unsuccessfully forever if not. Paypal gave me back the $23.50 it costs to send it back. Not sure if any of you know but Paypal will do this I think 12 times a year. Pay for return postage that is. I will decide later if I buy another. So far happy to be made whole financially. Lord knows I do not want to have just one more thing added to the pack of vape junk I have accumulated. I would buy a non SXK one but I hear the same troubles can arise with them

To be honest i'm not sure about that but probably not. It is much safer to charge your batteries in an external charger in any case :) It is just for firmware upgrades I expect....

I only recently got a 70 version and haven't played with it much yet...and actually I would always recommend the DNA 60 version as the better purchase.

Oh chanelvaps...no reprieve this time then and your BB journey has definitely ended :)

You are right it can definitely happen the same with the authentic...it's identical really...I'd still say give it another go.....just wait until the annoyance pales into insignificance :)

I've got an authentic BB rev 4B with the dna 60 and absolutely love it. Thought I'd buy the cheaper of the SXK clones as a beater. Pretty sure the chip they use is an Asmodus GX 80. It used to read resistances on the high side but has settled down - I'm guessing cause the positive contact under the boro has cleaned up. In hindsight I'd buy the dna 60 clone over the 70.

I don't know for sure but various sellers claim it's a charging port:
This BB Box comes with USB port for charging only.

As far as I know there's no software that allows you to program or update the 70w firmware so the only purpose for the USB port is charging...

and actually I would always recommend the DNA 60 version as the better purchase.

I would also... on other forums there's a lot of talk of the SXK 70w board failing, and when you look at the price of the DNA boards on their own the price of the SXK DNA60 BB isn't too bad really... It seems well worth the extra money...

Also, having the ability to modify and tinker with the firmware via the USB port on the DNA60 adds an extra dimension to the hobby/addiction, even if it's just to customize the startup screen and such...

Good points Flick. I saw some ads for the SXK 70w saying the usb was for charging. It was more curiosity than necessity on my part as I always charge externally.
If I ever buy another BB clone it'd be the dna for sure. To be honest for the extra money I think the authentic is well worth it.

I really enjoy my rebuildibles but all this talk of coil heads is making me curious.
Rbas are a hit and miss on the bb because of limited building space and tiny juice channel's. Now, if built correctly its an amazing vape that burns through juice like a bat out of hell. I quess it has its ups and downs as expected with any set up. What are the ups and downs of using coil heads on the Bb other than not having to build a coil?

In a word flavour....I don't have much experience with coils because the vapeshell provides one of the best vapes you can get....period :)

The EUC ceramics have good flavour and i'm just about to try the eleaf melo 0.6 SS coils which are supposed to be good too and obviously can be used if you like TC...

I'm sure some others will chip in because there are guys here (I think) with more coil experience....

Love the Ultem Boro by the way.....:D

What do you think of the BB does it give you enough vape time with the 350's??

RBAs on the BB are a total PiTA for me, I have too many other daily use RTAs that require rebuilding and are 100x easier to maintain. So I run the EUC ceramic and Eleaf Mesh coils in my BB, great flavor and vapor production with zero hassle. The ceramics last me well over a month but the BB is not my primary vape.

I have been slightly interested in the BB for a little while now. I'm not really into regulated mods, but could use one on occasions. I have a few questions about it though.

I like vaping at around .2-.35 ohms at 45-70w with semi restricted DL airflow. I only do rebuidables, never going to get back into coil heads again. Does it support this vaping style? I ask because I pretty much only hear about it being ran MTL.

What kind of juice capacity does it have with a rebuildable bridge (I think that's the proper term)?

What kind of drip tip does it take? Is it a 510 or proprietary?

These are my primary concerns before I decide if it would be a viable option for me. Thanks for any responses.

Vape time is definitely on the downside with the Bantam box. Even with the vapecell 18350's I find myself constantly changing the battery every couple of hours. One 18650 would last me all day on the BB box with a .25 ohm coil. I think sxk couldve done better with the chip allowing higher wattage to atleast 40w's, provided better pos and neg contacts and reduced the low ohm threshold to atlest. .2 instead of .4 ... Idk thats just my opinion. Would the mod still be as safe? I quess it depnds on batterys, build ohms and wattage as usual.

Yes it's fine for DL but 70 watts is too high really as it's a single battery mod.

It's best to get the DNA 60 version unless you go for the authentic (also DNA 60) and then you're limited by that and the length of time a single batts going to last.

I direct lung with my BB on the vapeshell RBA with a SS 0.5 or 0.6 ohm coil at 30 watts and the DL vape is superb....

I think you would be fine at this kind of level and there are lots of RBA's available for DL vaping....It's worth it...best vape i've ever had personally :)

Yes well it's definitely not one where you would be building less than 1.0 ohm really as the battery would just vanish in seconds :)

I'm assuming you're trying to vape a quite low ohm coil on it??
