That sucks, I ordered mine monday night and it arrived today. I was gonna link the seller for you, but they haven't relisted any :(

As far as the match, it's close, but not perfect. The stingray is a bit more red than the kayfun, but the kayfun is way more red than any brass or gold metal. They were never gonna be a perfect match unless you clearcoated the stingray, as the copper would patina while the rose gold won't. Once the copper dulls a bit, I bet they'll match even better.

The Kayfun was perfect as far as performance. I wrapped my first dual coil on it (1.65mm ID, 29ga, 9wraps, .7ohms) and it's hitting like a freight train. i think the extra cotton from running duals really helps with avoiding the occasional dry hit, it's been flawless.

Wish I could says the same for the infinite red copper stingray. Button was crunchy as hell, would stick in the on position when the battery was in there. Broke it down, dremel polished the insides. Button was smooth as glass oustide the mod, but still stuck when together. Ended up taking off the locking ring, and grinding material off the end of the tube, making it thinner, and gave the edge a bit of chamfor. This made the biggest difference, and everything is fine now. Happy camper!

I'll post a pic soon i swear :)

Pics or it didn't happen!!!

WOW dude that made a HUGE difference thanks for the info. Its damn near seamless now. Your original 8/10 rating on the seam, that looks near 9.5/10 lol. Mine should be here tomorrow, how would you rate the depth of the engraving? Ive messed up so many mods by polishing them so the big selling point for me on this clone was the CNC engraving, I just hope its super deep because I like to polish things.

The engraving is DEEP no need to worry about lite or heavy sanding on the tube. Polishing will not be an issue.

so my red copper stingray came in today. It is beautiful. However I got serial number 1480 / 1000. My OCD is kicking in and its really pissing me off. I know its just a clone but come on lol, is there no common sense in China? Im freaking chinese myself. I re-ordered one from ebay that guarantees a 3 digit serial number. Gonna return this 1480 / 1000 so im not even going to unwrap it.

I just bought the black copper stingray from code vape. I couldn't resist. I know, I know, I should have researched code vape a bit before buying. Has anyone had good luck with them? Also, has anyone received the black copper stingray (SXK) and if so, how is it?

They are who I ordered from on eBay who missed their shipping dealing by a long shot but they were very quick to cancel the order and process a refund upon my request so the customer service was very good on that end.

Well, I just got mine. This is my first mech. It's SN 1519/1000 or as I like to call it, 1.519 in decimal equivalent.;) I'm very impressed with how nice it looks. The switch is a bit crunchy and wobbly, as seems to be the case with most of these. It still fires fine, so far and will stand up without being locked. The other thing is that there's a ~1mm gap on the switch when it's screwed down. I'm running a 18490 with a kick 2 and I've heard that the tolerances with the kick can be off a bit. Do you guys think that the reason for the gap? I guess it could be the length of the 510 too. I'm using a IBTank and Boge carto without a flange. I'll try and work with the switch later and see if I can improve it. I'll post a pic later as well. Also I didn't know it came with a kick ring so you can use a 18650 as well. Pretty sweet.

To update the past 3 days I have spent with the red copper stingray:

Pros:

-Looks great
-Mine came in aesthetically pristine condition
-Love the floating top cap pin
-Hits hard -- Measured voltage drop on 0.4 ohm dual coil on VTC5 batteries came out to 0.23v drop. My brass nemesis with same configuration was almost double the voltage drop @ 0.41v drop.

Cons:

-The real red copper 'LE' stingray includes 18350+18500 tubes with an 18650 extension. This version is only 18350 tube with 500/650 extensions.
-I wish it was a bit more seamless
-I have 1460/1000 serial #. Not a big deal since a clone, but like I said in an earlier post.... Come on china.

-THE .......N BUTTON.
This is the biggest con. When I first got it, the thing would get stuck, would crunch up, it was just a freaking nightmare.
I took Peppie's information and went to town with 800 grit sandpaper on all of the internals of the switch. It did help the smoothness, but it was still crunchy and got stuck depending on how your finger would put pressure on it.
I went back again and used 400 grit then 1000/1500 grit this time, it helped and made it much more useable. It still however gets stuck. I then coated the internals of the switch with vaseline and that made a huge difference.

My switch now is smooth with an extremely short throw, BUT it still gets stuck from time to time.

Example scenario: I go for a vape, fire it, take my finger off the button, its still firing. Doesnt stop until I actually physically pull the stuck button out.

Extremely annoying, but im sure with more work I can get it to stop.

The only way I have found to combat this stuck button problem is that when vaping I have to release my finger from the button very quickly instead of slowly which im used to. Almost like a flicking outward motion with my pinky.

TL;DR ==== If your not willing to put in work with this button I would say stay the f * * * away from purchasing it.

I can almost guarantee you this will fix it. It's worked for me and others. :)
