Outstanding flavor, lots of vapor, and no flavor fade when chain vaping! Eureka! I love the doggies, but at this point, with this build I'm getting much more flavor from the Sirens.

I'm a bit more concerned with TH though @magicmyst. If you could compare that between them I would appreciate it, but I also totally get that you might not be into that

I'm not really sensitive to TH, but the Siren provides lots of flexibility for coil hight. I'm sure you can adjust to get the TH you're looking for.

I got down to 5 wraps with ss316l 28 gauge - 2.5mm ID, comes out just under 0.5 ohms. Now I wanna go play with even less wraps ;)

I really enjoy experimenting too @AngeNZ. And with the low cost of wire and wicking it's pretty much free to do this stuff with vaping :)

FWIW, over the years I've come to believe that when possible the best way to do this is to have two identical atties set up with fresh but different builds and vape them with the same juice alternately for a few days at least. You can also do that through a clean and re-wick or two if needed. It's amazing how flawed the first impressions of a setup can be if you can't alternate back to the other setup during the trial.

But that's just me and my preferences. Whatever works for you is good :thumb:

Good to know magicmyst. Going to do a little more snooping around and then decide if I want to try it. Thanks for your help

After checking it out a bit more I just couldn't resist and ordered one. My second new atty this year that isn't a Doggy.

I should know better ... but ... I still couldn't resist, lol :)

Is the chimney base removable on the SXK Doggy? It looks like it might be glued on the PC tank. But I noticed that FT sells the tanks and chimney base as separate parts and the base is out of stock.

It all comes apart. The top ring unscrews from the chimney, so three pieces not counting the base (tank, chimney & ring).

Thank you. Any tips on how to remove it? It's probably something real simple that I'm overlooking. Mine doesn't seem to want to budge.

Screw the chimney in from the other end and pull - it should come apart quite easily.

I've had a few really tight ones that I needed to break out a needle-nose for. I grab the ring with the pliers, then twist off the tank.

I take out the chimney using a quarter in the bottom chimney slots to back it out. Easy, Peasy. Once it turns you can hold the top ring with your fingers and take it all apart. If it's tight then try a waffle grip pad. Last resort would be light use of pliers on the top ring.

The only change I'd make to the Doggy is a taller tank to cool the vape. Keeping the coil close to the air port works to cool the vape. A taller tank and chimney would also help to cool the vape and add more juice capacity as well.

I never liked "hot boxed" cigarettes and I like my vape cool, too.

My first doggystyle (SXK). It arrived in early August, but I set it aside for a couple days and then forgot about it. Came across it two evenings ago and decided it was overdue for a trial. It's been working just fine with no leaks with a couple different builds in it. Currently running it on my Atto (in 18350 mode) with a 0.8 ohm build:

Nice! Would love to find a regulated mod that size.
