Joules? Heresy!

Watts? Burn him at the stake!

Sub-ohm? Throw him in the asylum!

Have we all forgotten the first commandment of vaping? "Thou shalt only vary thine voltage from 3 to 6 volts, and thine cartomizer shall be no less than 2 ohms and no greater than 4.5 ohms, unless thou useth a dual coil cartomizer, in which case thy resistance may be as low as 1.2 ohms."

Come on, people, that's like the first thing we all learned when we started vaping, right?

I personally like that Yihi used joules. No idea if it will stick, or if there's a better measurement (although I do think watts is inappropriate for this particular application), but I like that they're willing to try. I'm sure a lot of you probably remember, but for those who don't, we had the same argument against using watts almost exactly two years ago (and we all know how that turned out...:)).

Is that in Holmans? :)

Noperz,,, although I now understand Ohms and Watts and the Dark Side of binding One's Jewels; the Holmans thing still escapes me. Tried it and burnt my Popcorn.
I'll leave that to you Advanced Engineering Voodoo Heretics.
Tell me when ya get it perfected and I'll devise & implement an Evil Scheme to sell it to the ignorant Masses.

Well my fellow "Joules Fools",,,, We may not have proven any viable Input Calculation Theorem here today but we did indeed share in a remarkable Oddity of the Human Experience without any shadow of a doubt.
IF the Axiom presented above by Yozhik is assumed true,
Then it logically follows that today we were quite obviously visited and regaled by one of the Happiest & most Euphoric Individuals on the face of this glorious Earth :thumb:
THAT, is "Special".

Back on Topic;
Ti Profile set to 22.5J & 444* F still purring along swimmingly.
I Vape corrected and humbly admit my previous misgivings and false Cynicism.

Plan to turn'er up to 25 fraudulent Units of Vape Fallacy in a bit to see what shakes out.

*tried it at 25 on the 444*,,, No Es Bueno... Went all Rice Krispies on me. Back to 20 for a bit.
Next tweak-crank up the Temp a Tad.
Oh MY!
Awww Hail Yes!
Thar She Blows Gents: 20 Frauds and 465*. Tasty, plentiful Vapor, Warm, Steady (+/- 5*).
Eureka. That's the Ticket.
HitCat it sounds like a single coil setup. What atty and coil build?

Nope, for me it was that cheap crap from Joyetech breaks in two days. Ah, the fun of vaping in 2010!

On a sidenote, I ditched the silicone cover for my SX Mini long ago. Just too much added bulk. Black paint has held up fine, can't find a scratch anywhere yet. :)

Yes, I do remember those days. It was so bad a stinky was a relief to all those tootie puffy pulls that were all anemic and tasted like somebody made a batch of ejuice out of used cigarette butts and dirty socks. We have made progress for sure.

You might give the Yihi cover a shot. They're much thinner .040" (just did that for mm guys) and hardly add any bulk.

You will love the Rayon and if you buy a whole box of it you will never ever have to buy again. That said if you are feeling lazy you can just run the wick under hot tap water and it will come clean as snow. Leave it sit over night and your good to go. You can puff it dry but you will be surprised at how much water Rayon can hold.
George is this the rayon stuff you buy?
Amazon.com : Graham Professional Cellucotton 40 Ft. Box : Hair Styling Product Accessories : Beauty

They also have this stuff:
Amazon.com : Graham Cellucotton Beauty Coil, 40 Feet : Hair Permanent Products : Beauty

Have you been following Magaro's thread? He rates the cotton version higher than the rayon version:
A look at various wicking materials for rebuildable atomizers | Page 8 | E-Cigarette Forum

But the Pima Cotton seems to really take the show:
Amazon.com: 100% USA Wicking Pima Cotton

I would like to try out all three but he is not done yet with all his testing and is doing a fantastic job I think.

If you are sure the first item is Pure Rayon yes.

Here is the exact box I use: Graham CelluCotton Beauty Coil - Regular - 500ft - [HASHTAG]#44060[/HASHTAG] - $12.88 - at Texas Beauty Supplies

Yes, that appears to be the same but just 40' and not 500'. I don't think all of us together would live long enough to use that much! lol ;)

But if you notice Magaro's thread compared both their cotton and their rayon version and he rated the cotton version higher. But which one vapes better is the question. For the price I might try all of them myself just to see which one I like best.

Burnie, what another debate? Why not we were all already primed up today so we should still all have the gloves out and ready for another round. Maybe Tony will step in too. lol Only kidding, no need to debate I am only trying to find another sweet spot and I know wicking is the key to success with TC vaping. Why not ask those who have felt they have a winner instead of reinventing the wheel.

Cotton is cotton I don't think I would waste my time. The first link looked like the stuff i use just as long as it is pure 100% Rayon.

The box I linked you to is 400' and yes it will last for ever. Did you notice the price $12 bucks. can't hardly beat that price. He!! you'll be able to supply all your friends. for ever!

Jim I was not referring to your post when I mentioned "debate" after following the Rayon thread for a year one would only have to do a Rayon vs Cotton post and feathers would fly:w00t:

No worries Burnie I knew that but I was just using your post as an opportunity to rile up the troopers on this lazy Sunday.
