That has to be in stacked battery mode... LoL

Could they even hope to achieve 150W from a single battery? I guess anything is possible... That would have to be one bad to the bone battery though

Anyway, if this is true, wonder if they're looking at stepping up the single battery wattage to 75W?

No absolutely it's dual battery setup. No idea what they'll be able to do with single if anything.

I'm thinking running lower gauge wire is the way to go in TC. I have been trying dual strands of 30 gauge and have found the vape to be much better then using single wire. My latest is parallel 30 gauge 3 mm 6/7 wrap 0.069 ohms. 25J at 420F on my kayfun. Nice warm vape with good vapor production. I think i will be getting some 26 gauge.
My reasoning is that with thicker wire maybe the reistance doesn't fluctuate as rapidly with temperature change and there is more thermal mass to heat the wick. Just my uneducated guess. I'm sure the EEs and peanut gallery will correct me if I'm way off base:-x. Anyway.... whatever the reason I am finding it to be a better experince.

That stands to reason... you are not way off... someone mentioned earlier, matching the impedance of the output (the recommended .065 Ohms) is a design target... meaning that's what they based the design of the M around- doesn't mean other resistances won't work but ymmv.

Some of this is more thermodynamics than electric circuit theory. The device doesn't know from thicker or thinner gauge wire, it only knows what the resistance of your coil is, but the gauge does effect your vape. This is the same weather you're using Nickel or Nichrome or Kanthal- The thicker gauge wire has more mass and more surface area than thinner wire - you're correct that mass doesn't allow the temperature to change as quickly as thinner wire of the same material but it also has more surface in contact with your wick/juice which allows you to vaporize a higher volume of juice and possibly run at a lower temperature ... but keep in mind the same properties of thicker wire also take more energy to heat it up and more energy to cool down - so you're right that it doesn't fluctuate as rapidly... a good thing when you're vape is on, but the thicker you go, the more juice you waste as it cools down when your vape is done and the faster you'll go through batteries because of the additional energy needed to get the wire to vaping temps.

I highly recommend the 24Ga if you have enough room for 12 turns and you're not overly concerned about burning more juice.

Thanks for that explanation. For the way I vape, the SX has plenty of power. Right now I am only using 25J and standard mode. I'm not chasing clouds.....it's all about the flavor for me.

Ok. I have some 28g Ni200. I would appreciate a build recommendation for a Lemo 2 with suggested settings for my SX Mini M. :)
I'll give you a recommendation but I'm sure someone won't like it. I like 7 wraps at 3mm right around .09 but if you want to get the .065 I think is around 5 maybe 4 wraps.

What works for me in setting is I start it out abou10J 375 and slowly work up to 410 18J. Everyone is different I like to kind of break the coil in.

Everyone says that :) I'm not chasing clouds either- but I do like thick flavorful vapor... if it comes with more clouds, that's fine with me.

I do a 7 wrap on a 3mm screwdriver that comes out at .11 & am vaping at 27 joules at 420f. My Lemo never tasted so good!
Thanks. Those colors look good on your bike. I got my juice tamed down but now it's not wickin near as well as before at 50/50 with the added VG. Guess I'll try a little pg in it :)

I have seen this, a bit, lately. Was willing to live with it 'til I had time to disassemble and clean the K4,

What I have been doing to clear the problem is SYSTEM OFF. Restarts without the problem.

I also got another email from varitube and it is only the black ones that have the rougher finish. IDK I think I get a better vape from 28awg 7 wraps 3mm then I do with 29awg 5 wraps 3mm. Just seems like it to me. I'm going to try some 26awg when I get it. They are really close but it seems to me the more wick you have covered the better the vape. When this one is ready I'll change to the 28 .9ohms. What do you guys think about just using regular nickel over tempered. These are so much easier to build I don't know if I really need tempered.

Sent him an email on the 27th and haven't heard back. Either you're in the friend list or I'm being ignored. :(
