ECF Newbie here... Great thread!

@Vlad1: Not sure if it has been mentioned/discovered before, but this may be another item for the 2.1 bug list: whenever I exit from the menu, I'm in the M1 preset.

Test:
- Select preset M2
- Enter the menu (5 clicks)
- Exit the menu

What preset is selected?
M1 -- BUT the power level that you had set for M2 is still retained. (Ok, I tried with M3 and not M2, but still got the same result)

I can duplicate this with 2.21. I'm not sure if ver 1.4 was the same or not. I'm also not sure if it's by design or a bug but I'll add it to the list. Can anyone with 1.4 and 2.1 verify please?

Well, I think the most notable thing saving battery life is the display. There may be a combination of other things giving a tiny bit more battery life but the display shutting down after 5 seconds is easily going to be the biggest contributing factor.

Anyway, my aim is to keep an unofficial changelog and communicate effectively definitive changes and fixes to potential bugs in the software in order to effectively explain to others whether they should update the software on their SX Mini M's (leaving the decision up to each user) and to provide instructions and solutions to common problems others are seeing during the upgrade process.

Ordinarily, I wouldnt list unconfirmed changes like the temperature change they made with 2.1 except that this change is so noticeable that Im seeing not just myself, but everyone who has used 2.1 state that the temperature is much different than it used to be.

I am running the "test" version (2.21) and it does it with mine. Also did it with the 2.1 version. Can't remember if it did it with 1.4, but I don't remember it doing this.

I have edited the bug list on my previous post to not only include this, but the bugs that existed on the original 1.4 launch firmware.

Both test files I got are 120w versions, I flashed over 2.1 120w without issue.

If someone initially flashed the 150w 2.1, flashing the 120w 2.21 over it shouldn't be an issue right?

It's what I did. Haven't noticed any issues.

Not to scientific but both were using same build and fully charged battery

Standard mode before update: (notice this one isn't fully depleted, but I got maybe a one more pull before it said low battery)

After update using eco mode: (this one was reading low battery if I tried to fire it)

Wow ! You gotta be pulling my tackle

I was really happy today that I managed more than 18,000J & made it to over 20,000J

Now I see this

I dont know what you're picture is showing, you're in standard mode at over 20,000 Joules, are you saying you got over 20,000 Joules by being in Standard mode the entire battery charge?

batteries are fickle, Ive seen the exact same battery last a little longer on a charge or a little less on a charge, likely related to the charger and the battery temperature from day to day (yesterday it might have been 50 degrees, today it might be 90 degrees).

  • That craigdocks reached over 41,000 on standard mode with higher watt/joules mine 20J compared to 24J
  • My TP was set higher though at 450f compared to 410f

The SX350J seems to be relatively stable and gaining popularity in no small ways.. I wonder when are the modders gonna get on the wagon?
Imagine when we are able to select the chipset for VS or the Hana.. Wouldn't that be nice;)

Though I don't care for their box mods, Vaporlips offers the choice of 350j or DNA40.

BUT the power level that you had set for M2 is still retained.

No, it is not retained, it is just shown in the display (which could be considered another bug). The actual power you get is from M1.

Easily tested: set M1 to 5J, repeat the test I posted before, then take a vape.

Today is a monumental day....

I have officially retired my S class.... as well as countless tanks.
I've been pretty vocal about the taste with Kanthal being far superior than Nickel. Well, I've finally achieved close enough.
My new TCT tank.... 5.5ml capacity (cant wait to see if i run out of juice or battery 1st) 0.15 Ni coil and airflow beyond belief.

People, RUN don't walk and pick one of these bad boys up. You don't know what you're missing!

Braddahbill,

I am not sure where you got your information about the Support Dept. supplied Test Update not for redistributing but I have to take issue with that claim.

I contacted "Fancy" a support agent at SXmini an she was more than glad to send me the file and even asked me to share it with friends and ask them to send feedback on it's effectiveness.

Copy of the email I received:

Dear George

Pls kindly see the attached file for test file.If you friends need, you can share with them.
If any feedback of the test file, you can tell us.

Thank you in advance.

Best Regards
Fancy

If anyone wants the file PM me with an email address and I will be more than glad to send you a copy. Caveat - if I am inundated by request I may just stop responding. Please if you are not going to use it don't ask for it and I am also sure that SXmini will have the updated version posted on their WEB site very soon.

I can't remember which group it was, but some one posted an email that boiled down to - Try this but please don't redistribute.

OK, good to know. I might try to download it later today.

Thanks :)

At 1st I was disappointed in this tank but after the coil finally broke in I'm liking it much better but I still believe the gct has better flavor.

You mean it gets better than this? Just swapped the O-Rings (Green to Black) and started vaping.
Never tried the GCT, although tempted many times. That Gold trim just screamed NOOOOO to me.

Where did you pick it up btw?

Found just 1 piece at a random vape shop I passed by. If they had it Im sure the bigger online sites should have them too.
