Wife: I can't get out of my mind those $150 boots
Me: then go get them
Wife: really? Thought I'd have to try hard to get an approval from you
Me: no way!!! You absolutely deserve it

Told her I won my SX in a contest.
Not feeling that much guilty now.

Don't have to. She just won a huge shoe and handbag contest.;)

Ahhhh. First vape! Atlantis .5ohm @ 30w.

Meanwhile, it seems to be as reported. The build quality is very good. The threads are the smoothest of any device I own. The menu would be confusing if I wasn't already warned. Well, OK. I was warned and it's still confusing. Keep going to vape and shutting the whole thing down. IT would be nice if we had options for different menu's. I really feel like the up and down buttons should immediately change the W, V or J; and the fire button should immediately fire. I'll get used to it, I'm sure.

It's heavier then I expected. That's a good thing.

The screw in battery cap is as annoying as I expected. VSpotVapes is where I bought it. The gave me a box full of candy and a coin to turn the battery cover. Man. I'd almost like to have something machined with a flip out handle.

Just went up to 35w. This thing is going to be awesome! But, stealth vaping is going to be tough.

I have my Ni coils at home. Also some Ni wire. Tonight is my intro to TC!

Footbag,

Just be careful with the battery cap. The threads are really fine and easy to cross thread and that could bring tears to the eyes of a grown man... ok a grown man with OCD.

PS - What did you do kick the family out early so you could play with your new toy.

Well... It worked out kind of well. Kind of... My son bit a kid at his last day of school. Instead of a fun afternoon filled with toys, he's in trouble.

Updated the firmware and had a little scare. The device wouldn't come back on. Pushed the down button and I'm back!

Yeah I had the same exact problem. However if you take the battery out of the SX before you do the update the whole process goes smooth. Someone else suggested this so I gave it a try and for what ever reason it works with no surprises.

They state to do a reset after update which when there's not a battery installed is effectively doing the reset. Been a few get a bit scared doing the update process.

Q:I upgraded my M Class mod successfully, how to reset the device ?
A: Press the down button, display will come out SXmini then you can press the fire button 5 times to turn on the device or take out the battery and put the battery inside again to reset the device

New LG HG2 finally died. I little disappointed with the final 10%, but overall 33+K Joules @ 30J/450F/Standard is not too shabby. Guessing I'd have hit 35-36K in ECO mode??? BTW.... was achieving around 26K-28K with the older HE4's.

Have you tried Soft mode? I think it's the real Eco mode. I have a married pair of LG HE4 that I get 32-33kJ in Soft but only 24-25kJ in standard. I'm running my rda at 40J 500 degrees on .085 ohm build. I'm still at v1.4 so I can't compare to Eco.

I don't see how you all are getting 30-40k joules on a single battery. Yall are using 2600-3000mah batteries right? My vtc5 is getting about 25k and that's when the battery has gone down to 3.36volts. I usually vape between 400-450 degrees, 25J and eco mode.

(Still don't completely understand the different modes, and which one to use. I have always used standard, and now use eco, with the new update)

Try using Soft and see what happens. I get 25kJ in standard.

No comments about the sleeves huh? I really like the looks of my carbon fiber Jwraps but the sleeves would give you an added layer of protection. I want these to last a long long time. Have not desire to get anything different and have sold all my Kayfuns, DNA40, Provari p3 Still have 3 Provari's and an S class for emergencies which I hope I never have. Using 3 of them should make them last 3 times as long. Just can't decide on a color for my Silver and Black one which should be in at Varitube Monday so will be the latest and greatest paint hopefully and should already be up graded to 2.2 if not no biggie but they were just assembled this week.

The sleeves work fine for me but they keep sliding up so I have to push the SXM up from the bottom about every time I pick it up.
Not really a biggie but still....a little irritating. It's not as irritating as seeing flaking / chipped paint though.

It's funny how you can pick out a fellow Texan from just a forum post
