No comments about the sleeves huh? I really like the looks of my carbon fiber Jwraps but the sleeves would give you an added layer of protection. I want these to last a long long time. Have not desire to get anything different and have sold all my Kayfuns, DNA40, Provari p3 Still have 3 Provari's and an S class for emergencies which I hope I never have. Using 3 of them should make them last 3 times as long. Just can't decide on a color for my Silver and Black one which should be in at Varitube Monday so will be the latest and greatest paint hopefully and should already be up graded to 2.2 if not no biggie but they were just assembled this week.

The leather cases are another option mate

Fit is good, not too tight but no movement & feel nice in the hand

Covers the bottom too which don't matter so much with a silver c frame but if its black any wear will play havoc with ocd'ers

OK. Some questions if you guys will bear with me.

If I plan on pocketing the device, I put it into lock. There is no way to turn it off, right?

The battery... The battery bar looks like I'd be over-draining the battery if I let it run all the way down. Should I ignore the bar and pay attention to the Voltage?

And an opinion... The menu, what's the point? Wouldn't it be easier to default change voltage with the + and -? It seems to be convoluted and unintuitive.

Thanks. Still think this thing is awesome!

You can turn the device completely off in the menu system. System off

The device has internal battery monitor that will display "Low Battery" once the battery reaches I believe 3 volts and not fire any longer. No need to monitor it.

And an opinion... The menu, what's the point? Wouldn't it be easier to default change voltage with the + and -? It seems to be convoluted and unintuitive.

If there was no menu you wouldn't have things like "Link, Display rotation selections, temp limits etc..

You can adjust your power or joules by
selecting the up button once, which selects your memory location
then hitting your down button to get into Adj mode
then hitting either up or down button to do the adjustments you want.

Five clicks then, click to System, and choose Off. You will see "Bye bye". The device is now off.

The battery... The battery bar looks like I'd be over-draining the battery if I let it run all the way down. Should I ignore the bar and pay attention to the Voltage?

I would ignore all of that looking only at the amount of Joules used. Once you become accustomed to this you will always know how much battery you have left

And an opinion... The menu, what's the point? Wouldn't it be easier to default change voltage with the + and -? It seems to be convoluted and unintuitive.

It is "awesome". Have some patience to learn the device. You may be amazed at how intuitive the Menu system is. Some niggles here, some there, but over all it facilitates using the device and does not get in the way.

Good to see the 30Qs doing well not a fan of LG batteries the HE4s were just disappointing and heated up to much for me. Battery tests reveal Samsung have under specced the 30Qs and LG well maybe true maybe not. I'll take the Samsungs I got a couple of weeks ago.

thats weird my HE 2's work just fine. I only get about 22500J on them but never heat up course it could have something to do with me only using a max of 14J. Was even thinking of getting somemore but was going to get the HE4 now I'm not so sure.

Duh. Thanks. I did see that system off in the menu. Do you guys just lock it for the pocket?

Just figuring out the menu. I'm always going to be pressing the wrong button.

Trying out my .3ohm Atlantis coil. Doesn't do so much for this juice. I'll try a TC coil before the nights up. Probably rig up a cotton burn test, because... I finally can.

Yes, I just lock with three (3) clicks.

As I said the Menu becomes second nature. Don't overthink it. "Just do it."

Instead of a constant voltage like in standard or Eco it starts low and increases to the target voltage. Powerful and powerfu+ are the opposite.
Thanks, but doesn't using lower joules do the same thing? Idk if I would like that, because having to take a longer hit to get what I want. I enjoy having a good git instantly.

Didn't see your earlier post or I would have responded..

I don't have the numbers in front of me but the difference in the modes is the output in power for only the first 2 second after firing then it goes to your selected output. These are very handy if your not in the mood for an immediate strong hit, you can just set it to Soft. Or if you want a stronger initial hit, set it to Powerful or Powerful+. The modes only affect the initial 2 seconds of firing then it goes to your setting.

As I said I don't have the numbers in front of me but if my memory serves me correctly this is close to what the output is in the different modes.

Soft mode is about 90% power first 2 seconds then goes up to 100%
Eco is the same as Standard or 100%
Powerful is about 110% first 2 second then drops down to 100%
Powerful+ is about 115% first 2 seconds then drops down to 100%

So you guys have gotten the sleeves from Ginger Vapes and like them a lot correct? I am about to give up on the YiHi sleeves. They are now saying end of the month and who knows. No problem with the + - buttons right?

I've been happy with mine.

I had a tank drip juice, and when I took the sleeve off of the SX, it didn't have a drop of juice on it, which is great!

Only minor niggle is, the case has a tendancy to crawl up the SX, and expose the lower button... still works if you press the up/down buttons on the sleeve, but I find myself constantly pulling it down, to cover the bottom button and provide a flat surface to set the SX down on (Pulled tight, the sleeve has a narrow outline of the bottom of the SX, so when it's pulled all the way down, it sits straight on a table.

Hey... for $10, it's great!

Oops.... just saw that someone else reported the same problem! Well.. there you go!

How about the samsung 25R's how are they they don't have quite as high a rating as the HE2 20a continuous.
I find them to be about the same. But did anyone see PB's FB post about the Sony vt5's being now available?
IN STOCK! Sony VTC5 2600mAh 30A 18650 High Drain rechargeable battery 3.7V

I thought that the folks following this thread might be interested in my post yesterday in another thread about my experience calibrating resistance, etc.
I have been using the same coil for about 10 days now changing wicks every 2-3 days and maybe 1x or 2x a day when I have let the device sit for an extended period I may set the resistance to see if there are any changes. I rarely see it go away from the .073 that it usually reads about 90% of the time. Sometimes if it is cooler or warmer than normal I might see it change to .072 or even more rare .074. Never anything more than that with my favorite coil so far using a twisted 26ga NI200 with a 30ga Kanthal A1, 3mm with 6/7 wraps on my Lemo 2 and my connections are very tight. I have had the same experience and resistance with 2 similar coils on the same Lemo 2 just prior to this current build. Now I would think with a prebuilt coil that has the wires pressed up against the pin with a rubber sleeve you might see more resistance variations but I don't see that with a build like the Lemo 2 and solid tight connections.

I vape a variety of ejuices using anything from 50/50 PG/VG to 100%VG so my temp settings do vary accordingly to give me the right warmth and flavor that I desire. My temp is usually between 385F to no more than 440F with my normal being around 400F. Today I checked the resistance in the morning and it was at .073. When I got home I re-wicked, juiced up and then after about 5 mins I checked the resistance again and it was at the same .073. I really don't see a need to recalibrate myself since I am mainly using the same atty and build. In either case, I always check after re-wicking or if I should change to another atty.

I did make about 10 of those same coils one after another with the same twisted wire so I would have a stash to use when needed. I use the same build on my Delta II and on my Kangertech Mini. The Lemo 2 seems to always give me right around the .073 but the Delta II around .079 and the Kanger Mini gives me around .059. Must be the atty's themselves having different resistances due to different metals, etc. causing a difference. Even the RBA's of the Kanger and the Delta are fairly consistent but not as rock solid that I get with the true RTA of the Lemo 2 which I tend to use the most.

I feel that as long as I calibrate the resistance with the atty attached and sitting on the SXM for at least 15 mins I will get repeatable performance and temp settings whether the device has been unused in my pocket for a while or quite cooler in the early morning sitting on my desk. As long as both the atty and mod are the same temp it all works the same for me. Now I haven't tried to do this outside in the winter or when in a very hot place such as in the open sun at the beach so I don't have experience with locking it with such extremes. But for my normal lifestyle in SoCal it works well for me.
