So my SXM shipped today and I had already ordered some more Samsung 25Rs because that is what I have been using in my VF. Will these suffice? I have never used joules before but I usually vape 420-450 at about 20-25 watts ballpark on the flask.
The 25R's will work just fine. Shoot for your temperature first and then set the Joules to reach it and maintain it. A good starting point is around 22-24J and go from there. 400-440F works for me for the most part too. But don't forget to set your baseline resistance first when all has settled in at room temperature. The SXM is like a manual transmission and not an automatic.

no batteries last me. I am chain vaping .125 ohm dual coil at 36w 450j. powerful. I can get 46,000j on a Samsung or vtc5 but it lasts me half an hour!

oops wrote than wrong. 36j, 520f is where I am.

I think this setup will work for you and last more than an hour..

Well tonight I definitely took that walk on the wild side! :w00t: I built my first Zephyrus dual Ti coil using my first batch of DIY I made a few nights ago. I have made 3 batches so far. This one is a creamy Cappuccino blend and the results are just awesome! :p It is also my first Ti build!

Using my just received SpiderSilk 26ga Ti I made 2 2.5mm coils for the Zephyrus RBA section. It was 6 spaced 2.5mm wraps with very short 2mm legs which is needed for this tight RBA. I broke my first coil tightening down the coil with those tiny screws it has so I had to build another one. That Ti wire is so springy and stiff it was very difficult to work with and very tedious to get it just right. The coils are probably close to 1mm away from the metal ring so I had to be super careful to get the placement where it wouldn't short. I kept checking the resistance to be sure I didn't have a short.

Then came the wicking fun. I know lots of folks have had wicking problems on the Zephyrus RBA by placing the cotton too far into the 4 juice wells, so I decided to give the Grimm Green Zephrus method a try. I pulled the cotton up vertically and tried to get the metal ring in place. Easier said than done and it took me about 10 minutes to make that happen. Then I cut the wicks at the ring level and attempted to push the 4 cotton wicks down towards their respective juice channels. The damn thing was so tight (lots of jokes thought here) it barely all fit. It was just jammed packed in there.

I put it on the SXM to measure the resistance. It was .126 ohms which was very close to the Steam Engine goal of .121 I was aiming for. I juiced it up, put the atty together and filled her up with my first DIY ejuice. Then came a moment of silence where I just wondered what to expect. I took a few pulls and then I found a sweet spot of 420F and needed 26J to keep it there. The vapor production was Rip Trippers style with amazing flavor production. The wicking is handling anything I can throw at it.

Tonight I am in vaping heaven and my head is spinning with just 3mg of nicotine strength just pouring through the device and into my lungs at an amazing rate! Probably the best vape experience I have ever had.

Just incredible and unexpected results! :thumb: :vapor::rickroll::toast::rickroll::vapor::thumb:

Once thing I dislike about zephyrus is that the condensation will leak to the 510 base thru the removable airflow ring. You try remove the tank once awhile and wipe it off to avoid the liquid going into the 510 slot. The zephyrus does generate tons of flavor and cloud bit building it with nickel is PITA. ..lol

fabe, lol. that should last longer indeed. that is bigger than both of my hands. I see they have a corvette. I guess they like power haha. oh is that you?

this is a very bad thing probably but now I am immune to nicotine. I can use 30ml of 32mg in a few hours. I did the same thing with booze. I can drink a 5th of 180 rum and only be at .02. nothing to brag about really. I have battled every kind of addiction. at least thankfully vaporizers have made "smoking" a lot safer. we are all blessed this technology came along. tobacco is rotten poison. plus vaping is just more 2015 than tobacco. I am just so pleased with the sxm. of course I will get any newer yihi device too. they just have this down.

Wow nic_fix... are you on a death wish ? All I can say is that as long as you have the drive to stay current with all the new advances in vaping. Keep doing it. I have to mention that you should cut down the nicotine levels... Take care.

Sorry... not my vette... I'm into german cars..

I am just now noticing the condensation too.

fabe. I have made some very dumb choices in life. I regret that of course. I regularly use 6mg don't worry. it works for my satisfaction still. I was just saying that I can do the 32 and not get a headache. like I said that is not a good thing.

ot. I am currently trying to come up with enough money to get a 2015 m5. I just really want that. unfortunately my built rs6 is completely unreliable. it is an 8 second car so you can see why. no one needs these but I just wish I could get it. on the other hand I had a 328i with 400,000 miles. just good cars.

I am not sure I would order another right now. unless it is just perfect to you. at this point there could feasibly be a new model soon. how soon I don't know. by this hobbies standards it is getting long in the tooth. plus they will certainly have an answer to the dna200. otherwise, yes I love this mod too. now that I got good paint from them I am just elated. it is the only mod I used since it came out and at one point I had nearly 20 mods. btw, the lg g4 is out too lol. this stuff just moves along fast. I have a rural spirit and take it slow but no can do when it comes to technology. although I gave up on the fastest computer. that is big buck nowadays. otherwise the rose is nice indeed. more like hot pink. should suit the ladies just fine. I even like it too but the black is stealth.

+1 to the "Holy Nuclear Damn".... Merciful Meltdowns VapeMan.

I use the 25Rs in the SX set on 25-30J and @ 365* F and they do great and last an acceptable time.
Mooch advised strongly against using the LG HE2s in the SX. Says the 25Rs are much better and the newer green wrapper version of the 25Rs bench tested out equally as good and are supposed to heave a little longer Sustain.
He's Da Man on Batts and I don't question his Advice. Just Roger That & Yes Sir. Then procure and use the ones he suggests.
I do run LG HE2s in the dual 18650 Hollowpoint Mech as they are wired in Parallel where their lower than advertised Safe Limit of continuous and peak draw won't be an issue. They do last a good long time and no complaints.

T minus 45 mikes till the initial build Prep (26 GA 5/4 Wrap Ti which should yield 0.2) for the maiden Voyage of the good Ship USS TC Lemo 2.
Hope she makes it off the Launcher and reaches a Tasty cruising altitude.

m00shie that looks just like a subtank lol. what mod is that? does not look like an sxm. don't tell me that is a dna40! oh wait maybe it is a boxer. the 350j can actually produce insane power. you do not need 200w. plus those high wattage boxes tend to be lower voltage which seems to me to negate the point. even at .1 I don't see it reaching 200w. my variant can't. subtank is good too. not as good as a top rda but I can build or throw in a cart. the carts are not too shabby either. just dang expensive. with subtank and sxm anyone can achieve nice results. those that can't manage that, which there are oh well. honestly at the old folks lodge they could not stand more than blu anyways. I have the best tip for this thing too. zero restriction. justhatip. not an advertisement just putting it out here. you do not want restriction in the tip with these setups imo. well, I am very satisfied with sxm but yearn to see what they do next. if it is just higher wattage meh. there can be more parameters for control over these devices. coming hopefully.

Anyone seen this already? A Vapor Flask with the SX350J chip is on the way.
Taste Your Juice | A NEW FLASK IS COMING…

Uh, yup. That's a winner right there. Glad I held off on getting a Boxer now. Smart move by the VF folks. Waiting to hear if parallel or series, or maybe it will be our choice, there's pros and cons to both.

Appears to be parallel as their promo shot is only showing 60W.
Personally....blah! Yes, it will be up to 75W with the new firmware, but a complete waste to spend another $300(?) just to achieve better better life....and well "maybe" no paint issues. They are about 4 months too late to the game with this! And ironically just after the DNA200 is announced? And all the complaints with the sxmini battery caps..... now your need to do it to TWO caps. LOL. Simply not worth that extra investment and using a mod that is so much wider simply for that extra life. Especially when battery life is improving and we now have 3000mAh plus modes to extend the life.

VS will never use anything but Evolv chipsets. They will sell mods with other chipsets though.

VS can't. They make their units in China and yihi would close them down if they shipped their chips to the assembly factory there.

What atty are you wanting to build on? Dual NI200 coils are not the easiest to build using TC. They need to be built the same and there are lots to learn to TC to get it just right. To start out I would suggest a single NI200 coil unless you are willing to take a walk on the wild side. I will be taking that walk myself tonight but have been using single coils on the SXM with Delta II, Kangertech Mini, and my favorite so far the Lemo 2 since I received my SXM back in early April.

Tonight I will give a dual Ti a try with my Zephryus and maybe with my Mutation X v4. My favorite single coil so far has been with a twisted 26ga NI200 with 30ga Kanthal A1, 3mm with 6/7 spaced wraps producing right around .07 ohms depending on the atty. The twisted wire makes for a solid wire and produces great flavor and clouds. 26ga NI200 alone is my second favorite with the same build and ohms. 28ga will work good too but you might start with a 3mm 5-6 wrap coil.

The SXM is a great mod and since it allows resistance as low as .05 you will find lots of options available to you in your coil building. Yihi says that .065 is their so called sweet spot and that is what I shoot for but others have built to around .15 and enjoying it. You can to higher, but I would suggest you don't go higher than .2 for good results. JMHO

Not to concerned with getting 2 the same. I have the tools and have been building for over 2 years.
My preferred Atties ATM are the Orchid tanks. Never picked up any of the K-tanks and the Kayfun collection is heading for the wifes inventory.

I went ahead and ordered the Ti wire last night and the VTC's should be in today. Once they are fully charged I will likely update the firmware in preparation.

Just figured I'd get a few builds in to run the SC through its paces.
Hmmmm......... Magma might be a clean build deck for a test or two.

I absolutely love this mod. So much in fact I'm fixing to order my 2nd. I wanted to get my wife the rose and silver. But the few places I found them in stock were not familiar with me. Can anyone point me in the direction of a reputable dealer?

Tapped from my LG G3
Varitube should have the Silver on Silver Monday and has the Black on Black now.

First tank is the UD Zephyrus and the second tank is the Billow v2. Both are real awesome tanks but I steer more towards Billow v2.

The mod is the SX M....skinned and wrapped to avoid paint coming off again. Here's a pic of the front:

I'm not a fan of high wattage as well. With TC, I don't think I need to shoot up that high. My joules is usually set somewhere between 20J to 30J.

Oh man! This tank is even more insane!
I have so many tanks that I have lost count really. The only ones I use every day without fail are my billow v2's. For me, they have the best flavor and smoothest air flow available. I have the zeph as well, but the airflow is loud and turbulant in comparison. Anyway, great choice in rta's to experiment with!
