How did you get the USB to work with the SXM? I have a filter for the DNA200, but when I put the SXMini in link mode it doesn't show up in the USB list.
did it with battery out and it connected fine. No probs with DNA200 either...

funny you mention that. I just found a place with premade Clapton. on my way. ill see you guys in a bit. I am getting the ss. it is .07 I was told. the screws are difficult but I can manage. not like twisting the wire which is nearly impossible for me. even with a drill. just happy I found this. I need to know what to set please. ill look when I get back. thanks.

I am back. it is actually .07 not .7. any suggestions what I should set it at? it is ss Clapton. I just put it to ss, 400f and 30j. vapes much better than that last junk. the first menu that comes up is at 21. did not mess with other settings. nice to try on dna200 but obviously I am not going to ask about that here. I will of course in the dna thread! I wish the m class had a computer application but I guess the ml does. have faith in me, I am sure I will get my grimy little hands on one! I don't remember, what is yihis recommended resistance? not .3 I can tell you that much. that guy means well but probably not the best coil builder. or has some reason to like it that high.

okay, I will check out kuro. thanks. haha! I just checked out a site with it and anti virus shut me down lol. ill try another. looks complicated though with three pens. not sure I could do that either. my hands are intact but pretty much useless now. no biggie. my friends and family are very good to me.

If it does hopefully Yihi won't make the same choices Evolv did by only enabling certain primary settings to be adjusted through the pc. We don't all want to carry around a pc with us to change the settings on our vaping devices. I wouldn't expect Yihi to do that though since they utilize a true Menu system whereas Evolv utilizes button combinations and you can quickly run out of ways to adjust things with only 3 button combinations.

Yeah, the DNA200 doesn't leave home too often. Part of it is that a 3S 1000mAh Lipo just doesn't last long enough for me, but also the lack of way to change preheat or TCR means it has to be set up in advance for each tank. One can do presets to some extent to overcome that (e.g., Titanium w/ preheat of 100W, Titanium w/ preheat of 50W), but that's an annoying kludge. For true grab and go, I either need a menu with full functionality or wireless mobile app integration. I'm not going to haul a laptop around just to use the full capability of my mod.

I don't think YiHi has put out a recommended resistance since they first came out with the M and that was for nickel at .065 I always made mine at about .08+ and worked just fine. I am surprised that a SS coil is that low of a resistance but never have used it. Right now for me the best I have used is Ti and my coils are about .28+. I use the Ti setting but if you check Steam Engine the TCR for Ti1 is .00366 SS depending on what type is .00104 to .00094 and the TCR is in vaping range which is different then cold wire.

agreed. it has more control over the settings. needing a pc just blows it. so does lipo. don't tell them that in the dna thread. they won't hear it.

The DNA200 reminds me a lot of running linux. Sure, it has more nice features, but the hassle... meh. In a sense, both YiHi and Evolv are taking us closer to where we need to go, but they have yet to take the crucial step of making a community-based platform that would make utilizing these extra features a lot easier.

With Ti1 I just use the new Ti1 mode compensate temp at 23C house temp is 72 400F 14J and perfect vape. I really like the Ti would like to try the NiFe52 but sounds like the Unk is not what it is supposed to be and don't feel like paying the shipping from Germany to get the Ziviph or what ever it is.

Stay tuned. I will make the comparison once I receive the Unkamen...

its not NiFe52/48 that's why!
Just a thought @TheotherSteveS, it is "possible" that "torching" before wrapping changed the wire properties.

That is why I said stay tuned. Neither of us is pre-torching, unlike @dwcraig1. So, we will have a strict comparison once I get mine.
