"John: Well, I have to keep my mouth shut because we have several ongoing projects, so obviously we’re not just working on this. What I will say is that we look at the e-cigarette as a separable problem. So, we’re attacking the vapor integrity in the DNA40, and really we’re doing this much earlier because we were kind of pushed into it by the FDA. We need to come up with a regulatory framework where we can guarantee that we know what’s in the vapor stream, or we’re never going to see an approvable product. But, we see there’s a finite number of things to solve before the e-cigarette is as good or better than a tobacco cigarette.

Is this a joke? Even with the early evolution of e-cig products it is already 100 times safer and better than a tobacco cig.

So, the new sxmini is released in a couple weeks, am I correct?

I was going to get the 'current' model but was waiting for this release.
While I know vape time is a personal thing, I get a solid day with s 0.2 ohm load at 40w on a dma40, curious about the ballpark expectation on the sxmini at 50-60w?
Wow! .2 @ 40W i have to test this!

Wow! .2 @ 40W i have to test this!

Its dual coil- 4 spaced wraps of twisted 28g around the infamous little blue screw driver.
By twisted 2 pieces of 28g twisted together...

On the mechs I do a dual parallel 24g at 8wraps, 2mm diameter. Would like to run that build on an sxmini about 50-60w it works ok on the dna40, just takes a little while to heat up. Sometimes i'll do the dual parallel in single coil, but a good single coil atty with decent airflow for it is a rare find. I like to switch from regulated to mechanical and wild like to limit my builds. I also can't stand the idea of dual battery mod, hence the sxmini.

Before the evil 'that's too low' starts... I am well educated on how to do this properly and use batteries rated for the build in the correct way. Before someone inexperienced tries it ensure that you know what you are doing. Ie battery safety, ohms law and the proper equipment is employed.
Also I'm not looking to debate, argue or get into a fight,(seems to happen whenever I post on ecf) I just simply want to know what battery life I can expect before I buy a 200$ mod.

If YiHi continues this trend of quality devices, I'll probably end-up with one of each they produce. Hopefully, a dual 18650 will be next. ;)

I'd love to see a 4400 mah Li-Po version that puts out the full 120W (or at least 80 to 100). Wouldn't mind if they made it a little wider to accommodate that. No one is going to use that silly 18650 extension tube. I've been eyeing the Smok XPro M80 Plus as a cheaper alternative. But folks on reddit are starting to get their pre-orders in and are reporting that the temp control on that thing looks pretty suspect. I really didn't want to have to spend $200 on a single battery 60W device.

Roger that on the extension tube, looks like a midevil weapon. My initial reaction on the smok device was to scoop it up. But, the last couple of mods they put out seemed like fire hazards to me. A good lipo mod with the me sx chip would be a unicorn mod. Personally my ideal mod would be 75-100 w with temp control. Rarely do I want more than 25-30w per coil but a little breathing room would be nice.

Im waiting on some info about the extension tube, just so that i can get the full use of my sx with a little extra battery life regarding how the mod looks.

Not exactly the best looking add-on, but I plan on purchasing one when available just to have increased battery life for road trips.. I have a cup-holder insert made for a tube-mod, which will more than likely work quite well for long drives, and should hold the device well ;)

rounding third and heading home...
They doing that?

i'll bet that is the holy grail for chip makers-first one to do it and do it right will have a leg up on any competition. seeing as that is the only way i will ever be interested in tc i hope it is yihi in a new version of the sx mini. regardless, no matter what anyone comes up with the sx mini is my sweet spot in vaping and i will never get rid of them even if the cast of other mods i own changes frequently.....

I hear ya! That's how I feel about the VSDNA, the form factor is perfect for me. These I'm looking at in lieu of my mechs and as a nice addition to the collection. :)

Interesting discussions going on looks like a 350J board swap in an S class is not going to happen sadly. I am still undecided on the whole temp protection and will have 2 clone DNA 40s with TP and 3 evolv DNA 40 to test if it is for me and not more vaping hype. The whole evolv DNA 40 fiasco has been unbelievable so many faulty boards I have had 6!

After owning some Hcigar products I just hope the product is good as no matter what vapers are saying about the problems being resolved after 4 months there are still numerous posts on bad evolv DNA 40 boards. The problems mostly occur with NI200.

I hope the HB DNA is good I decided against it as its not for me design wise and I am left handed to.

As much as I like the SX mini there is no way i am letting my SX350 mod go! Think its time to sell one of my SX minis with 30mins vape time ;)

What zero is that? Looks like the hotcig stainless steel one with a sx350 chip in it...
