What zero is that? Looks like the hotcig stainless steel one with a sx350 chip in it...

Yes it is a fasttech Hotcig one, I modded with a SX350.

I managed to get a black sleeve for it;)

Now I have the USB issue -

I can tell it is a little loose
If I push on it a but Upward - it will start charging - but no way to keep it stable that way
I almost never charge this way, but since I do not see an Upgrade needed, don't want the hassle of being without it for a few weeks just to repair an issue.
Any chnace that other problems might arise, like the switch itself ?

They really shouldn't have made the port so tight, and should have reinforced the solder joints a little better. It's an easy fix, just shouldn't have been a problem in the first place. Hopefully the new M-class has a much looser fit.

After it happens to mine (I'm assuming it will, since I use the USB port all the time), and I confirm my diagnosis, I'll probably offer to fix out of warranty SXmini's for the cost of return postage, depending on the ease of getting to the bad solder joint. From my memory of the photos, it looks to be very quick and easy to get to, and the fix should take less than a minute from disassembly to reassembly. I might also come up with a modification that prevents it from happening again. We'll see...

No other issues as a result of the USB port, but any electronics that get stressed (inserting a USB cable, pushing a button), can fatigue and fail. At least if that happens, it's an easy fix as well. Not only an easy fix, but much more preventable from happening again. I'm not aware of anyone having any trouble other than the USB port.

Same exact issue I had. I had to RMA it back to the vendor I purchased it from and they replaced it.

rounding third and heading home...
Anyone have that extension tube extra that wants to get rid of it? Id be more then happy to help ;)

i don't believe anyone has one yet- at least, i don't think yihi has offered it for sale anywhere. some folks have made their own but i have yet to see an official yihi tube for sale anywhere, and believe me, i have been looking. if anyone has any info on the extension tube please post it here so those of us eager to buy one can get our hands on one....or two.i don't understand what the hold-up has been on offering these for sale as it has been in the printed specs since the beginning. c'mon yihi, let's go and release the tubes.....

I'd rather see them release a dual 18650 device using the chip from the SX Mini. I don't really care about the 120W but it would be nice to have the added battery life. I've been thinking about picking up a Sigelei 100W Plus or 150W for that very reason but I'm holding off in hopes that YiHi at least announces a dual 18650. I love my Mini and would like to stick with YiHi.

the ipv4 uses a Yihi SX330 V3C chip-i pre-ordered one to have a 100 watt device just in case the extension tube takes awhile to appear.....in lieu of a direct yihi dual 18650 device i hope it is the next best thing...

Yeah I'm watching that one as well. Shouldn't be much longer before reviews on the IPV4 start coming out. Also waiting on reviews for the M Class Mini.

I have been trying to get a mod maker in Europe that makes a single battery SX350 wood box mod to consider making a dual battery wood box mod with the soon to be released SXmini board with temp control. I have planted the idea with them and will have to wait to see if anything comes of it.

I bet I know who that mod maker is, lol.

While you are it, see if they'll make a wood, regulated, bottomfeeder with the SXmini board. I'd buy two of those.

Has anyone pressed the power button on the mini only to have it not fire and the screen not come on? It's only happened to me a few times since I got this at the beginning of the month. The last time it happened I had the button all the way pushed in and was looking at the screen and the only way I could make it fire was to depress the button and press it again. Not a big deal for me but just curious if anyone else ever had that?

I'm replying to my own post. I took some of the advise of the other users and tightened my battery cap and I have not had this problem since last week. I guess when I first got it I didn't tighten it enough, I only screwed it on until it was flush. Thanks everyone for the suggestion!

mine has been used for thousands of hours. now sometimes it misfires. do you guys think I should pour alcohol in the button like hana? any other suggestions?
in no way do I fault this it has been used more than it's fair share. even a Mercedes wears out eventually. for that reason I will not ask for a replacement. i'll just buy the m-class if need be.

I wouldn't ask for a replacement but a repair on the fire button should be honored. That button should work.

Right behind you...
I wonder how YiHi plans to honor warranty on the S-Class since no more are being produced to replace units that may go wonky. If you decide to look into it, nic_fix, let us know.

No way in hell I'd send it all the way to China for repairs.

Pretty sure they'll keep new stock on hand for warranty replacement, and will have refurbs as well.
