I got to admit my SXmini with the extension tube is not the best looking thing. But I am loving the battery life. I put two freshly charged batteries in 24 hours ago and I am still vaping away with still 25% battery level. Another plus is the cap on the bottom of the tube just screws off with your hand so easy when it is time to change batteries.
I paid $19.99 for mine, but see the seller has raised the price to $29.99 now. No sure what happened with that.

The SXmini really shines with two batteries, so I am in the process of building a box mod now with the new J chip and two batteries along with an onboard balance charger.

Dang, looks like I should have bought it the other day when I saw it for $19.99. At first I didn't really think I wanted it, but now I kind of do for longer car drives, or for playing around with 120w.

I thought I seen it for $19 but last night I was looking and they were @ $29 so I wasn't sure if I remembered incorrectly or was a major price jump.

seeing as they only work with the s class and they are discontinuing that model some folks probably raised the price to squeeze the last ounce out of the s class. you would think it was the other way around but i bet the demand will outpace the supply because you won't be able to get it anymore. also, the extension tube is not as easy as just unscrewing the tube and swapping out your batteries. it require a plastic sleeve around the battery and a spacer between the two batteries. even if you ignore the plastic you have to have the spacer or flattop batteries won't fit- i haven't tried it with button tops so i can't comment on whether they work or not. the price is still $19.99 from yihi directly but the postage with DHL will eat up any savings. you are better off getting it for $29 from a local vendor as it will end up costing that much anyway. it is actually quicker to get it from yihi as the shipping only took 3 days until it arrived which is faster then most vendors unless you go with priority shipping. i got 2 tubes for my 2 sx minis and only have it on 1 right now- i haven't decided if the PITA changing batteries is worth it. just my experience, ymmv.....

As I posted yesterday, the threading is the same on both caps, and the extension will work on the M Class.. Even Varitube states as much on the product page:

SXmini Mod Extension Tube

Note: Temp Mode is still limited to 50J ... this is only for power mode and Kanthal coils.

EDIT: I grabbed one at the $19.95 price.. It should be here tomorrow to confirm.. ;)

I guess I misunderstood? there is not actually a problem but people don't like the warranty terms? if that is the case give me a break. no one "owes" us any warranty! that is a tool to increase perceived value and increase sales. I honestly do not ever base a purchase on the warranty. If you like it enjoy it while it works. if you can afford it get another one when it busts. different story if a product is just a defective design. like, ahem dna40. anyways so far nothing wrong with mine. every dna40 device busted on me within 48 hours. honestly I do not love the design of the sx mini but the chip is really what it's about.

if you like something and it is metal do not go at it! unless you are skilled with metal working. I am a bit but I have access to a fully stocked metal shop.

one question. does the tube work on the m? 120 on ni200 .1 build would be crazy.

Out of all the mods I've owned the only ones that were screwy were a provari and a dna40.
The dna40, was resolved with a phone call. The provari was a nightmare.
My p4u(yihi chip) and innokins were flawless.
Kind of says something IMHO

my comment was based on speaking directly to someone at yihi- they stated the threading was not the same- if that is incorrect then i apologize. not having an m class i am unable to verify one way or another. my points about the sleeve and spacer remain true and using them makes it hard to quickly change out batteries especially when driving- i don't see how it could be done safely anyway and it certainly couldn't be done with one hand. if i can get my camera working i will post some close-ups and someone may be able to tell if the threading will work. heck, it is made for the s class and it is hard to thread it now - i can't see how it could be done if the threading was incompatible.
darn, i guess i will have to get an m class now to see if it will work. that is as good an excuse as any.... that is what i am telling my wife so i hope so........

I do have both, and personally interchanged both battery caps, so I know for certain.. :)

That's the primary reason I purchased the extension.. So I will have extended battery life while taking long drives over a single battery.. not to run anywhere near 120 watts. Add a large-capacity RTA to the mix, along with my cup holder insert for a tube mod to place it in, and it should suit my purpose very well. :)

Messing with any vape gear while driving is unsafe. Don't go snapping pics while you're driving either.

i noticed that i can't vape at 20w if the battery charge drops to 3.5v in the M class. i'm assuming this is a safety precaution built into the chip? it does an on/off pulse

Mine vapes all the way down to the 3.3v cut-off consistently..

EDIT: What battery are you using?

EDIT: I'm running a Rose V2 @ 1.23 ohms / 20 watts ATM with an LG HE2.. The battery voltage is reading 3.38v. It's still vaping fine, but won't last much longer before cut-off

using samsung 25R. i checked the screen when it was doing it, it shows a slash line across the battery life bar every 2 or 3 seconds when i keep the fire button pressed at 3.5v battery life. It never does the intermittent cutoff anytime above that.

1.3-1.4. 28g 7 wrap in a lemo

Hmmmm.. I was figuring you may be running sub-ohm, and taxing the battery. Have you tried another battery? Sounds like the one you are using may be weak. That's about all I can think of.

I've run as low as 0.50 in wattage mode, and still get down to the 3.3v cut-off.. In Joules mode, 0.22 / 25.0J to the cut-off as well...

the batteries are brand new so i assumed it was the sx mini's safety thing. i'll test it again.

Is your resistance jumping between the 1.3-1.4 ohms? If so, I would check your coil, and make sure everything is tight. You should have a consistent resistance reading...

hmmmmm, i never thought about that. u may be right! I'll tighten it down and make sure the ohms arent jumping. it does slightly change in the hundreths decimal place when i unscrew/screw the atty on

Just received the extension tube.. As expected, it screwed right into the M Class, and is working in both wattage (up to 120), and joules mode.. (50.0J limit) :) Can't report on exactly how much more run-time I'll be getting yet, but I'm sure it will be adequate for my purpose.. ;)
