My replacement sxmini is on its way should have it in a few days. Using anything else just doesn't compare

I know what you mean. I haven't used my rdna 40 in several days. The feeling of a box just doesn't feel right in my hands anymore. The fire button doesn't feel as smooth. Outside of the vape quality, this mod is enjoyable all around. I did order a zna clone to put a dna 40 chip inside so that i can use that for my temp control wants. In also going to try and modify it to fit an 18650 with the shorter tube. Then I'm going to use an inductive coil from an old toothbrush to fit in a dremeled bottom cap. Then I'll use a conductive ring with a tiny spring terminal to feed the charge through a flat wire to the chip.

Who have you folks bought this mod from?

Varitube.com. Excellent vendor - I got a shipping notice within 2 hours of placing my order (all three times I've ordered from him) and free USPS Priority shipping, which is usually 2 days, although it could be more because Xmas.

Mine came from Euphoriavapor.com, but they're out of stock. Looks like a small B&M with a couple of store fronts in Ohio. Fantastic service, they shipped Priority with Insurance and Confirmation quickly. Even added a little handwritten note that said "Let us know what you think!" I think they already knew what I'd think. ;)

Sun Vapers is a premium Kanger reseller in San Diego County. has 'em in stock right now if you're shopping.

I live 2 min away from Euphoria Vapor and they're absolutely a top notch shop. All their staff really know their stuff and take the time to answer questions and help with builds. Doesn't surprise me you had a great online experience with them. I would not hesitate to purchase from them. Had the SX been in stock when I was there yesterday I'd have bought one on the spot. Lucky to have a great vape shop in our town.

Just to throw this out there.. I was reading bonmatos 's thread over at the French forum, and the question on whether or not to use the SXmini as a pass-through while charging was directed to YiHi by a member. YiHi's response was NO. They said the device can do it, but it's not recommended while vaping..

I would like to hear more on this. I frequently use pass through because I'm lazy and unless the thing is going to melt in my hand I'm going to opt for plugging it in to my computer while I'm working. Heck even hand melting may be something I could deal with - I hate rotating batteries. Seriously though if there is any damage done to the board or safety issues as a result it would be good to know. Of course my VP2 will do a better job charging the bat, but pass through has been working fine so far.

Got it from there also, but I'm from Canada so customs on the Hollidays are swamped with packages, will take a while.

The downloadable update on Yihi's site is 1.3.1. Without knowing exactly what version numbering scheme Yihi uses, it's generally accepted practice in software development to omit the last numeral from a release as it's usually just an indication of a slight revision to a major or minor change in the functionality of the software (as in, Major.Minor.Revision). Revision numbers are usually reserved for internal reference and do not indicate any significant change in the software for the end-user. So that means we will not see future versions like 1.3.2, 1.3.6 and so on. Instead we will likely see 1.4.?, 1.5.?, etc. Hope that makes sense. :)

leoan: Version 1.3 enables the device to fire at 9.5 volts instead of the previous version's 7.5 volts. Newer units are shipping with v1.3 already installed, so only early adopters may need to update their firmware.

it looks like the display on the newer ones is blue instead of green? or just me or camera.
sx mini logo is a nice touch.

it would be cool if the display inverted from straight up to straight down. then again who holds the tip to the floor lol.

one thing I am sure will be argued. watt for watt it seems like this has more oomph. like 35 on this is 38 on ivp2s. maybe just better regulation. using soft too.
