My sx mini came today. Best regulated mod I've ever owned, by far. With this bad boy and my REO I think I'm set for life. I've had a zna, Duke, Ranger, and a couple Provari units in my day and nothing, even the provari touches the build quality of this beast. The only downside is that I thought I was getting a black one so I ordered a black lemo drop. Well, turns out that it's gray, which is what I preferred anyways, but the black lemo looks a bit off on it. lol
just get yourself black carbon fiber from j wraps, it'll look sweet with you black Lemo ..

Where did you order yours from. Will it be the new version?

I ordered from Ginger Vaper. They just sent me an email confirming the tracking number. If no movement tomorrow I will have them trace it.

It will be the new version...no groove in the 510

It's entirely possible that I'm remembering things wrong, dems86! I've picked up so many new toys the last couple of months they're all sort of running together lately. I actually rebuilt the head on the Subtank, still haven't used the KF-style deck (6ml capacity is my biggest draw for this device). Used a pretty fat wad of OC with "enhanced" tails, so I'm sure that accounts for the performance.

What I can tell you as an absolute certainty though, is that I think this Aqua II spanks every other RTA I currently have on hand. Ended up with a loose connection after my hasty build which resulted in my resistance jumping between .48 to 2.2 to everything in between all day at work today. My poor mini did the best it could, but it was so awesome to get home, take the bottom off the Aqua with a 1/2 full tank, cinch my connections down, screw it back on, and keep on vapin' at a steady .48!

I'm a HUGE fan of user-friendliness when it comes to rebuildables and this one gets a :thumb: from me in that department.
Speaking of the Aqua2, my replacement just shipped out today after the defective unit arrived... Wednesday seems SOOOO far away right now

Got the Subtank loaded up on the mini finally.

I'm using the 1.2 head and saving the .5 for when I have a better understanding of the sub ohm world. Previous to this I was vaping a Nautilus Mini on my itaste vv, then used the nautilus mini on the SX and finally got the ST up and I don't know why it took me so long.

Been vaping for about a year now and haven't choked like I did on the ST since I first started vaping. Started low at 12w, bumped to 15w, went to 20w and finally 25w. As I hit 20 and 25 I noticed a warmer vape than I'm used to. I also notice the airflow at one hole in the ST is like vaping the Nautilus on the biggest air hole. I really like the power curves on the SX with this tank and it is apparent what they do.

I'm vaping Grants Vanilla Custard and the flavor is crazy! Apparently so is the nic delivery (got a nice buzz) and had to put it down before I hurt myself, lol!

Don't know when the Aqua V2 will be here, but with the ST I'm not counting days.

Grants Vanilla Custard...I missed out last time it went up (at nic levels intended for human and not horse consumption, 24mg ...)...I won't be missing out on it next time. So jealous of that tasty, custardy goodness you got going on right now.

My Subtank is seeing plenty of use right alongside the Aqua. But alas, it has to stay at home because the last time I put that much glass in my pocket and went to work with it, life didn't turn out well for me at all.

I do have memory banks reserved for it on each of my mini's because I'm never sure which one it might end up on. :D

I've been lurking here for a while, and reading a lot about the SXmini. I finally bit the bullet and ordered one - it arrived today. I ordered the grey version from VariTube, and their "new batch" still has the slotted positive pin, not that it's an issue for me at all.

For a Chinese mod, the quality is outstanding, but still not up to ProVape quality. Machining tolerances are not perfect, but nothing to complain about. The only thing that bothers me a little is that not only is the window too small for the display, but it's a bit off-center causing the "top" row of pixels to be cropped off if viewing it dead-center. If viewed from the left, you see all the pixels, barely.

I put one of my drippers on it. It's a 0.29-ohm build, which with a fresh charged battery works out to 60.8W, so I set the SXmini to 60W. I swear the SXmini hits a lot harder than the same dripper on a good mechanical, so I backed off to 50W. I got a bit nic'd out, but maybe that was from over-vaping due to the excitement of new vapemail.

I've played with a lot of box mods, and never thought I'd get one, but... The IPV kinda sucks IMHO. Someone at work has one, and while it looks nice, the display dims so much you can't even see it unless you're in a dimly lit room (unless it's being fired). Not sure if there's a setting for that, but the owner didn't know of one. I'd say the SXmini really doesn't have much competition, and I'd consider it the king of regulated box mods. The closest one I've seen is the Vapor Flask (at $300 mind you), but it only has a 40W DNA40. 60W is the sweet spot for me, as most of my dripper builds come out to 50-60W.

Got my SXmini today from varitube and I'm pleased with the build quality and function of the SX350 chip. Unfortunately, it came with the old slotted 510 pin that I'll have to remind myself not to turn with a screw driver. The mini USB connector was very tight and not recessed far enough. Also, I had to file down a very sharp corner that was digging into my palm. Other than those minor annoyances, the SXmini is everything I expected. Here it is with a VS rDNA:

Excellent on both questions. FT OTM version is well made, no flaws in mine at all. Flavor on Aqua 2 is superb. Airflow is perfect and adjusts to your liking. I also got a Tobeco version off of eBay...not quite as good quality, but still good. Some of the holes in the posts were rough, one of them very rough, but does not harm the functionality. A little cheaper in $$ and quality.

Many thanks for the reply DP2 thought i would give it a go I can always fire sale some of my vapegear i bought and never vaped! I dont mind spending a few $$$ for a less hassle and better quality. I had enough trouble with my SX Mini! Thanks once again!

Here's my favorite Lemo build, and it's so good my buddy here at work started using it, too, after experimenting with several different builds. 26awg, 1/8" drill bit, 12 wraps, mounted through the holes (not under the screws), and I have it about 2-3mm above the deck. Comes out to about 1.3 ohms or so. I'm running it at 22.5 watts. Use lots of cotton.

I wanted to circle back for anyone who was planning to try this coil. I just built a new one and it looks like I totally remembered the number of wraps wrong. It's actually an 8/9 wrap coil - I've got a 12 wrap in now and it takes a little longer to heat up on standard mode than I like (and is about 1.7 ohms). Probably going to put another 8/9 wrap in there when I kill this tank.

Thank you. Was thinking 12 wraps OMG there is no way I could do that LOL [emoji106]

Yeah, it turns out I was mixing it up with my dripper build - my Plume Veil runs dual 28awg 1/8" coils at 12 wraps (about 1.3 ohms or so). Big difference.
