Hi Marc! Roxy convinced me that the Aqua is worth getting. I'll try a single coil to start and maybe a dual coil later. I've always felt that dual coils waste a lot of juice and batteries but I want to try it to see for myself.

Go for duals :). Its an awesome vape.

LMAO..... be careful with Roxy Pete she has mind control powers. I own two Rose and two Aqua's after talking to Ms. Noodle. It works better on me because I'm in Chicago, she's in Ohio. You have more miles between you so you might be able to fight it off.

Although she has never steered me wrong!

Lol! You still don't have a Lemo. $30 authentic and nearly as awesome.

I was looking at them today.

With the Aqua I was reluctant, I've never liked the air holes on the deck without a chimney but you made me a believer with the Aqua!

Duals Peter!

Quick question about the resistance reader on the SXmini.

I don't have a multimeter or an ohm reader (yet) and have only been running my Subtank. I am using the 1.2 coil that came with the Subtank, and when I first screw on the tank, the mini reads it correctly. After a few Vapes it drops down to 1.18 or 1.17 or 1.18 but never consistent. I unscrew the atty and push the fire button so it says 0.00 and then screw it back on and it reads correctly until my first vape.

Is this normal?

I realize I will eventually have to buy an ohm reader since my long term plan is to get into RTA/RDAs, but worried about the fluctuations. Although the guy at my local B&M said that the SXmini has one of the most accurate readers.

It's normal, resistance changes with temperature, and the delay between removing it and putting it back on is long enough for that juice covered coil to cool back down and get you back to its "normal" reading. Nothing to worry about.

It never goes back to the normal 1.21 reading after its on and I'm vaping it - even if I let it sit for 20 mins.

Is the reader accurate enough that I don't need to invest in another reader/multimeter right away?

On a side note...I keep going to sleep with my Mini in my hand (dont laugh) and ive dropped it onto wood floor probably 5 times now *cringe* so I have a nice chip of powdercoat on the sleeve, and its pushed my sleeve out of aligment a little so I have to loosen up the torx screws and fix that.
Every time I hear that thunk I wake up in horror.
Look at the positive side, it's not a cigarette anymore and you're not burning down your house! [emoji4]

Yes dude, it is. And don't forget that resistance is added via the 510 connection as well, and removing a tank and putting it back on can change that value, and that 510 connection on the Kanger is spring loaded which can also complicate things.

The reality is, that variance between 1.21 and 1.18 is totally irrelevant at the low wattage you're likely to be using that 1.2 OCC at.

Awesome thanks bro!

I picked up a Magma clone (since the Aqua2 is in transit from FT) from my local Vape shop to start learning on - been reading a bunch so just had to ease my concern.

magma: very long 510 connection --> danger: don't try to screw it tight to the sxmini. don't force it. just screw till it makes contact
