Got mine yesterday morning. This is my favorite device out of everything I've tried for the past two years, and anyone would be hard-pressed to name something I haven't tried. I do not say this lightly. Yihi is out with this new board, and they came out swinging. Yihi vs. Evolv is bound to bring us some incredible innovations from both companies with future iterations of the dna and SX.

I posted my initial findings regarding "Soft" mode a page back... I've been busy, and haven't had time to thoroughly test the other modes with my load tester. I'm not a reviewer.. I just really like the device, and am posting what I can when I have the time. ;) I'm also not a high-wattage vaper.. I usually run RTAs just under 1 ohm @ no more than 15 watts. I have been using Sony VTC5's, and pretty much get through an entire day. Occasionally, I do run RDAs @ around 0.5 ohms, but not on the SXmini as of yet.

If you need more detailed info regarding the modes quickly, I suggest contacting YiHi.. I will try to get some further testing done when I have the time.. :)

Thanks for the info. It’s a shame Yihi did not included the explanation in the manual. I’ll see what Yihi says directly.

Here is the info I just received from Yihi on the power modes.

"Thank you for the inquiriy. We are very appreciated that you love SXmini.

About the power mode, soft mode and standard mode, they are different experiment while you are vaping.

Power mode, while you are vaping, you'll feel a higher wattage first, then the wattage you choose. For example, you choose 30watt, but the true wattage is 40watt, then 39, 38, 37...30watt.

Soft is the opposite, feel a lower wattage, then the wattage you choose. For example, you choose 30watt, the wattage will be 20, 21, 22,...30watt.

Standard means the wattage won't be changed. Keep the wattage which is chosed by yourselves.

Hope you understand it. :)

Kind regards,

Angelina

besides it not connecting to the computer I got a big scuff on mine  it is a scuff not a scratch I am sure but I can't seem to buff it out. finish may be a little fragile. I babied it.

edit: never mind. the always fabulous fabulustre cloth fixed it. if you have anything metal, like mods you need one of these cloths! do not get an imitation though.

There are wraps available for the SXmini here:

ecig skins, electorinc cigarette skins, ecig wrap, ecig wraps, mod wraps, ecig wraps, provape, ipv2, ipv v2, vamo, mvp, mvp2

I haven't been babying mine, and the finish is holding up well...:)

Thanks for posting the info... Pretty much in-line with what I've come up with so far... ;)

Interesting.... I installed the SXmini on my Smok Omnitester with an atty @ 1.36 ohms / 11 watts in "Soft" mode. 3.86v is displayed on the mod as going to the atty..

When the power button is pressed, "Soft" mode starts @ 3.3v, then progresses to 3.4v, and then goes to a steady 3.8v... As soon as the power button is released, the voltage drops to 3.2v before shutting-down..

I'll try to find time to test the other modes @ various resistances / wattages, and post my findings soon.. The accuracy of the SXmini continues to really impress me. ;) :)

EDIT: Using the same atty as above, "Standard" mode is a steady 3.8v, and "Powerful" gives a 4.3v boost, then a steady 3.8v.. The voltage appears to drop between 2.9-3.2v after the power button is released before fully shutting down in all modes. It may just be the Smok tester however.. One really needs a scope to catch what these modes are actually doing. ;)

Thanks Technonut!

Called the shop - they "had" 1 more left as they had just sold 2
Had is the applicable term as I just scooped it up!

Spoke to the Guy on duty and he loves this device.
They seem like good peeps, will have to try their juice.

I'm happy to have helped, and that you were able to snag one.. :) Be sure to post after you receive it... I'm sure you will be a happy camper. ;)

The accuracy of this device impresses me to no end. It has been pretty much dead-on in all of my testing so far. ;) I've owned many high-end regulated devices over the past 4 years, and find the SXmini right up there with the best of them.

Got around to updating to v1.31. Quick and painless! I'm currently eyeing up those dual-tone carbon fiber wraps, but I'm so happy with the way this device feels in my hand I'm not sure if I'll spring for one.

I'm going to try and slap together a quick and dirty YT video at some point this weekend since nobody seems to have gotten around to it.

You called Elite?

Ive had VERY good service from them and the pricing is very fair even at their B&M. I got a iStick from them yesterday for $25 while looking at box mods.

Anyone tried an extreme rba build on this yet? I have a 1 ohm build on a 454. It chucks at 40 watts. On the vox 50. Curious about super mode. Hardly ever use it, but it's nice for clouds.

I would like to know this also, especially what effect this has on battery life??
