I assume it's this from Wikipedia:

The joule is a derived unit of energy, work, or amount of heat in the International System of Units. It is equal to the energy transferred (or work done) when applying a force of one newton through a distance of one metre (1 newton metre or N·m), or in passing an electric current of one ampere through a resistance of one ohm for one second. It is named after the English physicist James Prescott Joule (1818–1889).

I read that as well, but why do I care about that? Why waste screen space with it?

I got it to see it. now code 433 like the ipv. only in usb 3 plug.

yihi is better than evolve imo. evolve too little too late.

come on, go drive your chevys. compare the quality of lexus to Cadillac is like a joke. Cadillac is a $30k car not a $70k car! the quality sux. yeah it looks nice but look at the details, craftsmanship. furthermore you can't compare china to japan either. if japan made a mod all others would be done!

My biggest question about this mod is how much battery life can I expect. My hope is that Yihi has found an energy saving technology that will allow me to vape .7-.8 dual builds at 45-50 watts for 5-6 hours. ;) My fear is that I'll get a couple of hours and be changing batteries

I said this already here. it controls how fast the heat ramps up on the coil. ie, powerful is instant full heat, soft, takes longer to reach full heat, standard is in between and like most mods.

I'm sorry, but that is a bit too simple for me. Where did you get this info from? First off, the SX does not monitor temperature, it may ramp up the power. What I'm guessing it does is each setting is a power start curve profile. But sorry no heat let’s say power.. Oh and yes the coil will heat up, but I would like know what the profile is doing. No guessing please, only facts.

With your attitude You will be eating Rice and the Chinese will be eating stake soon enough!
My 2010 Silverdao has 235,000 Klicks that's 145,000 miles to You Americans and I just changed the brakes so far and 3 sets of tires. It works everyday :)
Try that with your Rice burnning Truck!!

I posted my initial findings regarding "Soft" mode a page back... I've been busy, and haven't had time to thoroughly test the other modes with my load tester. I'm not a reviewer.. I just really like the device, and am posting what I can when I have the time. ;) I'm also not a high-wattage vaper.. I usually run RTAs just under 1 ohm @ no more than 15 watts. I have been using Sony VTC5's, and pretty much get through an entire day. Occasionally, I do run RDAs @ around 0.5 ohms, but not on the SXmini as of yet.

If you need more detailed info regarding the modes quickly, I suggest contacting YiHi.. I will try to get some further testing done when I have the time.. :)

okay you got me. I was indeed guessing what the ramp does. it is certainly a ramp of sorts though. power I agree.

why? you can drive American car. I am not die hard buy usa to save everyone's job. everyone can make their own way in life. this is free trade! I earn my living so I buy the best products I can afford. the best, regardless of who makes it! sure, American cars are fine. any car or ecig or whatever is today really. I seriously doubt I am going to single handedly cause the Chinese to take over trade in the world lol. for everyone like me there is someone like you. I will hand you Motorola was the best made in usa. they sold it to china! I didn't do that. google did! 3 broken hana,5 broken dna in all and than comes yihi. time will tell but I can say the device is ten times as robust as hana. ipv2s/3 not so much. sorry for ot!

still no go. usb 2 does not even se it. usb 3 gives error code 43. yihi I guess gave up. I will just have to use a different computer. at least it is open end. you buy dna and no free upgrade either. I don't hate dna I am just digging yihi better right now.

I remember a simpler day when everyone drove one of the big 3 and we actually made stuff here.
Then the imports started to show up and it seems like our life style has went down hill a little more every year since
I try to buy products made in North America when ever I can I realize one person can't change the world But if we all did there would be no reason to import all this stuff
P.S don't get me started on Walmart LOL

Don't mean to derail the thread further, but Toyota trucks are beasts and generally out perform US trucks in longevity. Secondly, most foreign cars are manufactured here in the USA as opposed to importing a completed car.

I would have to say that the quality of the materials along with the fit and finish of the SX Mini outclasses a lot of American made box mods out there including the Vaporsharks.

Interesting.... I installed the SXmini on my Smok Omnitester with an atty @ 1.36 ohms / 11 watts in "Soft" mode. 3.86v is displayed on the mod as going to the atty..

When the power button is pressed, "Soft" mode starts @ 3.3v, then progresses to 3.4v, and then goes to a steady 3.8v... As soon as the power button is released, the voltage drops to 3.2v before shutting-down..

I'll try to find time to test the other modes @ various resistances / wattages, and post my findings soon.. The accuracy of the SXmini continues to really impress me. ;) :)

EDIT: Using the same atty as above, "Standard" mode is a steady 3.8v, and "Powerful" gives a 4.3v boost, then a steady 3.8v.. The voltage appears to drop between 2.9-3.2v after the power button is released before fully shutting down in all modes. It may just be the Smok tester however.. One really needs a scope to catch what these modes are actually doing. ;)

cool, looking forward to your findings on the other settings.

Have to say this device has been awesome. I'm a high voltage/ohm vaper so was very pleased to get the new update to actually make it 9.5v.
The form factor and comfort is awesome on this thing is better than anything else coming out of china and better than alot of stuff being made stateside.

How high a voltage vaper? Very curious about battery life?;)

I find myself still very interested in this mod even though I just ordered a rDna40.
Not to mention I am more than happy with my ipv2.

I think the form factor is just really appealing.

You think that is high mileage for a Japanese car?

You must be either very sheltered or a kid.
