Seems they have the inside track with Yihi. (Varitube)

They have a strong partnership with Yihi because Varitube responds to their customer base.

Regardless of what you buy from them Perry offers the same fast shipping and customer service. I like their 510 connection and picked up a couple, it shipped as fast as my SX Mini. It doesn't matter how much you spend their quality of service and support doesn't change.

Perry is just setting the stage for others to follow ;)

i wish phil had followed this thread- he would know you don't have to get into the main menu to adjust the watts and/or mode and you could adjust those settings by only using the buttons. i very rarely get into the menu where the gravity system takes effect. in day to day use it is easy to avoid the tilt system for anything.....

Yes that would help as after watching that review and seeing him do five presses to get into the menu, then tilting the device to change watts.
I was thinking nah pass too convoluted. Was going to post that until i read your post.

Yeah, I've never even used the motion sensor or that menu to do anything, been using just the two buttons since day one. Busardo needs to step his game up when it comes to the Mini, lol

Just email Phil with the correct information. I've done that before and he has put up a note on the video with the correct information. Love his reviews but I think his first preference is to reside in the "real men don't read directions" camp.

I thought that overall Phil did a great job with the review however, I do feel that he misrepresented the Gravity Sensor function a bit. As some of you already said you don't ever need to enter the menu interface in order to adjust wattage setting, and you also don't need to wave the device in the exaggerated manner that he did in order to use the G sensor ... I think he was being a little funny in how he was waving the Mini about as he talked about the G Sensor, but the problem with that is people who are not familiar with the device will get the impression that you need to a bunch of waving and shaking to use it, and that is not the case at all.

But I love Phil (New York bishes!), so again it was a good review, just think that he misrepresented this one aspect a bit.

I liked it too AND I learned something...

I didn't realize that using the menu to change wattage didn't commit it to the current memory you were in... Pretty sweet...

i agree 100%. we need to practice a bit on the first screen to know how to move through memory settings, change the mode (powerful, soft, standard), and change the wattage. learning how to use the up, down, and fire buttons to do all that is not immediate, but should take 15 minutes so far, even not reading the instructions. maybe phil had not the patience to do it, or more probable, he focused on the g-sensor because it was funny and didn't pay attention to other features of the interface, as you have said. he is still my fav video reviewer, and it's not bad if some people rejects the sx mini due to this matter, i don't want to see "sold out" everywhere ;))

It's actually a pretty elegant system when you consider all the things you can change with only two buttons without ever entering the menu proper. Feedback is provided by the screen's brightness level as it lights up when you're in the midst of changing settings (also an extremely awesome feature to cope with bright sunlight) and then dims to normal when you press the fire button to lock your settings in.

There is a reasonable expectation that in this age of digital handheld gadgetry, human beings are going to spend a portion of their lives learning how to use their toys. And compared to the learning curve on an iPhone or Android device, the mini is not even on the scale.

Instruction booklet or no.

yes, the interface is very well designed. you can perform every function fast and easy. as a software developer, i know that performing the tasks efficiently is essential (the sx mini has an outstanding performance), but the user interface is not less important. it has to be friendly, easy to learn, intuitive, coherent, consistent, not to loose efficiency before performing the task. i've not seen many others, but the interface of the sx mini beats every one i know.

So the joule reading on this mod - Its not a set to a level and it won't go over that or reading the energy your coils are giving out ?
Its energy the battery is giving out ?

Noticing a couple of mods that have a bypass mode or say DC-DC, is that the same as a mech mod or is there a difference ?

You say that, but how long until there's a mod with a capacitive touch screen and maybe even SIM card tray running Android.

Make it use a commodity LiOn battery that's already being mass produced and cloned (one of the big 3000mAh+ ones from say, a Galaxy Note), slap in a cheap Chinese Mediatek ARM board that can be had for a few bucks in Shenzhen to drive the mod and handle Android, pack in the voltage regulation circuitry, add a cheap IPS display, write an app to control the mod (with open source code), then let the vaping community via the app store do the heavy lifting for the rest.
