back door deals, I like that hypothesis :)

That isn't likely far from the truth. I worked for a large semiconductor company a few years ago that has a Fab in the Philippines...trucks were often hijacked and the parts stolen. We would end up with companies calling for warranty service on those stolen parts...it was always joyful to tell them to pound sand. :)

A little bit off-topic here, but if you were to want a backup for your SX Mini, wanted said backup to be able to do 30 watts (for Atlantis and SubTank), wanted something fairly small, and wanted to keep it under a $100, what would your pick be, and why?

I have 2 backups for my new SX Mini and they are the XPro M36 and ipv Mini. Both are pretty and petite [emoji6]

ipv mini might be up your alley, as long as you don't plan to build 0.5 and below, I've also heard some Mini's read 0.2 lower

My pick would be the VaporShark DNA30...essentially iStick size and very well built. At $99 it is a steal. The only con is the inbuilt battery, but as a backup that isn't a major concern.

I wanted a reliable back up for my rDNA40 and when the DNA30 dropped to $99.99, I got one. I'm actually vaping on it right now with a KF v4 clone and it's awesome :D

That's what I'm leaning towards, except for that built-in battery. Wish they still had the rdna 30, that would be perfect, maybe i can find a used one?

The built-in battery is pretty good. It'll go 4ml of juice @ 11w (about 5-6 hrs heavy vaping) for me. Charges from dead in less than 2 hrs. I LOVE my DNA30. Get one and you won't regret it.

I've had my grey SX Mini for a little over a week now. Wow, i love it. The only problem i've seen so far is that my atty's don't sit completely flush. It's crooked ever so slightly. Didn't notice til i looked closely. Not a big deal really, but for the price was kinda bummed. oh well, still works and looks great. Fit and finish on everything else is spot on though. The seams where the dark grey meet the lighter grey body sits flush all the way around. Love the memory settings and the soft/normal/powerful settings are great too. I have a 0.3 ohm build on my plume veil at 45 watts set on powerful. Hits great, of course battery life isn't the best at that wattage and setting but i didn't expect it to be on a single 18650. Now i have a 1.0 ohm build on my kayfun 4 set at 16.5 watts on powerful, AWESOME. Battery life MUCH better of course set to a lower wattage. I have a 28 gauge twisted coil in the kayfun and the ramp up time to heat it up was a bit annoying. The "powerful" setting got rid of that delay and it hits like a champ.

The device is a little pricey, but worth every penny i think. I have a vaporshark rnda 30 as well and they're about the same price. I'd say it's on par if not better than the VS.

SX Zero clone easy ... Sub Tank fits perfectly flush with its diameter and the SX Zero clone vapes really nice. It is presently acting as my back up to the SXmini, these are the two that I am vaping every day. Right now anyway :p

I am waiting on the Xpro M22 which is same as the M36 just less power output. I have the IPV Mini to, but the SX Zero is way better in vape and handling.

Awesome idea, does it fit flush? I just ordered 2 for my black & gray SX's

Well, I couldn't tell ya. Like the idiot I am, I ordered off eBay for the cheapest price. While the shipping label was created...that's about it since then >:-( Grr!

I guess whoever gets theirs first should let the other know how it goes lol!

Anyone here have the Beyond Vape Solara? I have been considering this one just because I want an authentic DNA 30 for my collection. It looks nice, but I am not sold on it being $175 nice. The aluminum frame makes me think of an iStick :glare:

I would prefer the X-one by Jemit, but since I cannot find one, and Jemit has yet to accept my FB friend request, I don't think I should hold my breath though :glare: Even as I want a gold one BAD

I agree with you completely. I've had mine for a little over a week, and it is absolutely the best regulated mod I've ever owned. What does it for me is its small form factor and 3 modes that lets you control the flavor.

I just got a Silverplay today. I haven't put a build on it yet, but here it is on Sxmini.

As you can tell, it does not sit flush on Sxmini. Time to make a trip to a hardware store to get a 22m washer.

I've also posted some more photos of Silverplay here.

No offense, but I just wouldn't be able to stick anything in my mouth called "mandingo"...

Sooo looking forward to my batteries showing up Friday. Until then, the SX sits idle. Had to do a test fit.

Mandingo: noun, plural Mandingos, Mandingoes for 1.

1. a member of any of a number of peoples forming an extensive linguistic group in western Africa.

I presume they named it for the regional flair of the constituent components of the juice and not after the tawdry 70's film or porn actor. At least one can hope. :)

The only atty that sits flush on mine (grey no logo)is the atlantis, I've taken it apart already and found that mine only has 2mm of travel in the 510 pin.I ordered another from varitube to see if the newer stock is any better.
