Its a real shame there are so many dna mods the full sized SX350 was only used by a few low volume mod builders even though it destroyed a DNA30 in features. I cant see the SX350 mini and SX350J being taken up in such a evolv centric vaping market. The DNA40 has been the worst joke unless you are blindly patriotic and actually think evolv can do no wrong.

Well said & so true!

I truly hope Evolv can get their act together and correct their flaws, but in just a week now us consumers will have a choice. An attractive 60/120 watt working Temp Control device vs. a boxy 40W maybe she will maybe she wont work device.

It wouldn't surprise me to see companies (Hana, VS, etc...) gradually start jumping ship and abandoning their Evolv mods for YiHi. That is if they want to stay in business and compete with the Yihi's and P4Y's....

Some of you are jinxing the shiznit out of this chip before it's even been readily tested in the real world. Imma blame you all if this chip has issues. :p

And why in the world would this chip have any issues???? I see 250+ pages of posts here for the SX350mini chip/board and i do NOT recall a single post of someone complaining of a single issue. Just because Evlov can't get it right in no way reflects on Yihi and their technology.

While I can respect anyone's decision to not want to layout $200 for a device that has not been reviewed yet and instead wait for a few hundred people to get them in their hands first and test them, spreading fear among us early adapters, based solely on "well Evlov can't do it so I doubt Yihi can" is just wrong....especially in a Yihi thread.

Just my $0.02

No one was really complaining about DNA chips prior to Temp Control either ....

Temp control is a completely different beast and requires completely separate science.
Regardless, even if the J chip works as advertised ... there WILL be posts made about TC "not working right". Some people will simply assume they can continue thinking and rebuilding in the same fashion as before. Truth is, you can't.

Temp Control has so many variables outside of simple "coil math" within the chip. I promise you, there will be people using max VG @ 50 watts with the device set to 420 degrees ...wondering why their vape is subpar in comparison to their standard regulated setup.

So you're saying that people will be complaining that the chip is actually working perfectly? ;) That its cutting off at 35-40 watts as its reached the 420 degrees already.

There's always the standard mode for those who wish to vape at sub-human temperatures. You can also set the temp to 580 degrees rather then 420.

Big difference of someone, not knowing what they are doing, posting it is not working and there being something wrong with the chip as there is with Evolv's.

Yes, there are plenty of people who complain about the DNA 40 because it is doing what it is suppose to. The 350J will sadly be no different.

Overall my point was that we have no idea how the J chip is going to perform. Seems silly to act as if it's a forgone conclusion that it's already putting the smack down on the DNA 40 when it hasn't even hit the hands of the public.

What happens if the J chip has its own set of problems? It will make statements like that look foolish. So maybe people should ease off and not jinx the dang chip before we get it in our hands. lol

Agreed. We shouldn't judge something that we haven't experienced yet.

This is silly and all you can provide is "What If's. What if there's a nuclear war tomorrow and no one receives their unit??? The only one jinxing here is you. You have NO basis to think or worse state that this chip will not work. It has already been tested in the field and in some dealers hands (videos posted on youtube). Hooked up to expensive machines at TPC. Your only basis is once again, that Evolv (and some junky clone manufacturers can't, so YiHi cant). The SX mini board has not let a single user down that i can recall seeing a post for and I have no reason to believe they will start now. This addition to their existing chip has been in Yihi's R&D for months now (at a minimum) and if they were going to release a half working product they could have done so in January. They are also they type of company that wouldn't release it until May if it was buggy.

Since your posts are out of patriotism (or some type of connection to Evolv), what happened to "Innocent until proven guilty"? Do you not wait on line to get a new iPhone/Android? A new car? A new TV? Much more expensive things -- do you expect those all not to work too? Im excited for my M to come next week (hopefully). So much so that I ordered a 2nd. And they will work. And i'll also be able to get regular software updates while sitting in my office chair! Without giving up my unit for a week.

I nor Yihi needs to put the smack down on the DNA40.....Evolv did a good job doing it themselves. Yes, Im a "fanboy" and loyal. Thats what companies get by providing great products, great customer service and warranty, and a much more reasonable price then their competitors.

Good grief ... all I was stating was people should wait until the product is released before crowning it king of the hill.

I think that's a pretty fair and logical statement to make.

I never stated YiHi CAN'T do TC properly ... why the ultra defensive tone?

And now you want to state that I'm some how connected to Evolv? Seriously?

I've owned more YiHi devices than Evolv or any other chip maker for that matter.

I don't want a dna40 anymore. just because I am at 40 watts and like a little headroom. I don't even use nickel. my mini looks like s... now. I want the latest toy regardless and it can do 120w. 60 is fine too. so I will order it and have it anodized. I am going to go nuts with the anodize and get like a $150 job.

I haven't seen them in any store yet, but Ginger Vapor was doing a giveaway for one. you may want to try contacting them to see when they will have them.

rounding third and heading home...
I'm not 100% sure, but I do not believe they were ever officially released.

Sent from the backwoods of Maine.

according to yihi they have been released- they say very few vendors elected to carry them. i just would like to find one in the US.

Just keep in mind that the extension tube that fits the SXmini S-class will not work on the SXmini M-class. They've taken everyone's advice and made the threads more coarse (according to early reviews). So, maybe YiHi are waiting to release the tubes in a wider rollout after the M-class ships. I hope more people realize this, given the truth in the early reports.
