If I get the M class, can I still use kanthal? I know it won't work for temperature control, I'm just wondering if I can still use regular kanthal builds if I want.

Sure you can. The TC is an addition, not a replacement.

Morning!
May I join the party? Got it last week. S class with Marquis. Silver/grey. I'm still learning the controls but I dig it very much. Thanks to all of you for the knowledge, reviews and help even if you didn't know you were giving it.

Nice! It's such a great device, isn't it? I recently bought a VS rDNA40 to go along with my SX Mini S Class and now with the early reviews coming in I'm kinda kicking myself for not waiting and picking up an M Class for TC. Oh well, my rDNA40 is lightly used and glitch free so maybe I could flip it on the classies and pick up an M Class. Seriously considering it even though I really enjoy the rDNA40.

It is great! I like the heft, the solidity of the build quality, the display, the little buttons (which is also what I like about the Hana), the fire button (which seemed a little low at first but, is fine now.) Changing the battery isn't a hassle as I feared.

Welcome, Tele. I've got the same one (now wrapped in similar shades). I'm sticking with the S class, at least for now.

I'm glad you like it too!

A couple of questions for M-class owners,

I tried looking this up in the official manual, but I couldn't find the answers.

- Do four modes (Powerful+, Powerful, Standard, Soft) work in TC? EDIT: I found out that they work in TC as well.
- What does "Powerful +" mode do? And how do you like it?

Thanks in advance.

I haven't seen any documentation on it but I think it is just a kick above the Powerful mode. Maybe 15% or 20% above your setting and it works in watt and joules mode too. For sure Phil Busardo will do some scope tests to tell us exactly what it is doing in the Powerful + mode.

Can anyone speak about the temp feature ? I'm ready to get one tomorrow locally.

This is my first and only TC device, but I have been keeping up with the reviewers and threads on TC for some time now and this device just works perfectly as designed. It reproduces a very repeatable vape with every pull. Now I just need to figure out what setting works for me but I am getting closer.

One feature I have not heard mentioned yet is the SX Mini M Class's ability to use coils down to .05 ohms which is incredibly low and I don't know anything else that can use coils that low when in TC mode. It can also go up to .3 in TC mode. We all know how hard it is to build a NI200 coil to make it high enough resistance where it will work within the range of the device in TC mode and not be too big to even fit in the atty. With the Yihi SX-350J chip, it is hard to not make a coil that would work within that range with NI200 wire. My first spaced 9 wrap of 28 ga NI200 on a 2.5 mm rod came in at .101 and fit nicely on my Delta II RDA with tons of room to spare.

I will try other builds in the future to see where there may be a sweet spot but my first NI200 build seems to be rock solid on this device. It very rapidly hits the TC setting and just holds it there time after time. Nothing goofy. It just does exactly what I set it to do.

Mine is in the mail...making sure my batteries are fully charged to be able to play with it. :toast:

Just got the email from the shop that they just came in, but my order won't ship until tomorrow morning, so Wednesday or Thursday before I have mine....

...now that I know its on the way I'm a little anxious to get my hands on it :mail:
