Yeah I just saw that $400 one on there too. Stupid (and greedy).

The manual says zinc alloy, aluminum alloy, & stainless steel.
My guess would be the side panels are aluminum alloy.

I figured they were aluminum. One person on FB claim they were plastic but I figured he didn't know what he was talking about.

The QC quality is GARBAGE on this mod, two magnets have already came loose and the inside of the door is scratched up a bit. 25mm devices look odd, anything bigger is a HELL NO if it's even possible to get a connection.
Want a Q Class experience? Buy a 350J-V2 Renegade. EVERYTHING, minus the Q taste control (which is a lie as far as I can tell I've noticed nothing from playing with it)
This thing is so light it feels like air and it's WEIRD, and the ergonomics are a C- at best.
Software is garbage. Sorry, just is. Hardly any options, it ripped off Escribe in 25% of its features, added some nonsense, made it headache inducing to look at it and SOLD DAT #### $$$$ WE CHINA BABY MURICA BUY ALL'AH OUR ####.
Seriously, this is not even close to a ######, this is a 350J-V2 with SX taste technology that does nothing and the quality control is CRAP.
200W is not 200W, it peaks at 172W mean then pulses in short burst to hit 195W or so and the batteries start getting uh-oh hot, it's pulling unsafe (the fact it even allows this is a ... thing to me) amounts of current off of them. It sucks batteries DEAD quick, I mean like QUICK. Expect 6 hours tops over 80W.
This is a let down. I thought it would be good. The mod is just ###### made and it's a 350J-V2 with one new feature. #### SX, never getting another CENT off of me.
This mod does not hit 200W, I took engineering equipment far more accurate then Ebay O-scopes to it. It peaked at 175W mean, then bounced from 153W to 195W in small pulses. It also ####### SUCKED current out of the batteries. This mod is unsafe, it cannot do a legit, direct 200W, it's cheaply made, it can do nothing, actually it can do LESS than the######, the software is useless and headache inducing and it's overpriced.
Avoid this, seriously. Two magnets just popped out fresh out of the box and the inside of the door was covered in scratches and the bottom of the mod has a small gash. The wattage down button STICKS sometimes and in TC mode it falls LEAGUES behind a properly set up DNA.
Don't buy this, I had somewhat decent hopes for this, not DNA killer hopes, but fairly good. It let me down so hard I threw it into the wall. Still works, but it wasn't hard given air weighs more than this piece of lies and Chinese cheap labor.
#### this mod. It's going in the never to be used corner.

Dose the Q class bring anything new over the ml class apart from dual 18650s and 200w ?
Thanks David
Sounds like a isolated incident. Other reviewers are happy with theirs. Who vapes at 200 watts anyway? I think anyone expecting to vape at 200 watts off of 2 18650 batteries is a fool.
Read that as well on the "other" forum.
The magnets falling off is a pretty big deal imo considering the Q is marketed as a high end mod.
But, as mentioned, I don't think anyone was expecting a consistent 200W from dual 18650s and to vape at 200W on a consistent daily basis seems to be on the extreme end of vaping preference and to expect the batteries to last all day with those settings is wishful thinking.
hopefully it's an isolated incident with the magnets. However I do remember vapn fagan to also have a unit with a detached magnet in his review.
The poster had a lot of negative energy to begin with if you read his other posts.I just read the thread at the other forum and I'm not sure why he even bought a Q. He was against it before he even bought one. He made some alarmist posts in this thread about the Q a couple months ago. It's like he bought one just to have it fail in his mind. If he had problems with the magnets he could have simply returned it but he didn't which seems odd to me.
Yep, maybe a one-off incident and yes it is crazy to expect to vape at 200 watts with 2- 18650 batteries but even more crazy that Yihi brought it to the table.
What I personally fail to understand is the maximum level of hype regarding this mod. I ordered one myself but I'm not expecting any miracles, just a (supposedly) high level chip in a decent enclosure. Basically even before anyone could get his hands on one, they were already hyper excited about it. Hopefully the above case is an isolated one, as with a price tag so high, design or manufacturing flaws are quite unacceptable...![]()
The difference is other high end mods don't make that claim. Evolv, Dicodes, and even Yihi themselves use to cap the per battery wattage at between 60-75 watts per battery. In the past they didn't have to resort to over-specing their SX series in order to get sales. It's obviously a change in their way of doing things and imo not a change for the better. I don't expect more from lower end mods, but I do expect more from higher end mods. It's because it can achieve 200 watts for a short period. It's no different than the other 30 or so mods that claim to get 200 watts. It's just a max rating and nothing more. For some reason people are failing to understand that. It's no different than auto manufacture advertising a car that has 750 horsepower that is only achievable with the motor out of the car. People need to learn max ratings from a manufacture and real life ratings are 2 different things.
