Sent an inquiry/question via Yihi Facebook's SXmini thread. Hopefully they will respond back. Now days devices use firmware updates readily to adjust things that need tweaking. My inquiry/question follows:

Yihi put up this video and it shows the Q set to 200 watts and also shows metered output at almost 210 watts. Will Yihi be putting out a firmware update to correct the accuracy of wattage output?

I'm always interested in looking at new mods so a question for current "Q" owners: is the 2nd battery and 'taste' the only additional features over the ML?

I have also seen where some say the Q frame is zinc, some say aluminum, and yet others say plastic. Also some say the doors are zinc and others say aluminum. Maybe an owner can also clarify this... THX

I think it has been mentioned that it is actually LIGHTER than the "M" and "ML" which is a good thing in my book. I guess I've been spoiled by the recent offerings of other vendors which allow me to set 3 or more TCR wire types in memory. I was hoping the YiHi followed suit with the "Q".

Yep, I to saw where it was lighter which leads me to think the frame isn't zinc. Yes, to me, the ML was too heavy so this would be a plus in my books....

I'd be surprised if someone could truly tell the difference in weight between the ML and Q. To put it in perspective and using the weights shown by another user in the thread, it would be like someone being able to tell the difference between 63 nickels and 62 nickels. That said, I understand and agree with those who are disappointed the dual battery Q is lighter in the first place.

Ultimately, price is keeping the Q on my list of "when it's really, really discounted" mods.

I would question if an update was really needed or if this was due to variations in components/manufacturing. If the same error is seen across the board, update would be in order. To my way of thinking there's a couple ways to look at it. One is as you state- accuracy is paramount. The other is that the vape quality matters more than numbers being exact (again batt safety notwithstanding). In a perfect world there would be both. In the real world, perfection can be elusive. Ultimately the choice is up to the consumer as to what matters.

Yep, me too, that is why I asked Yihi (as posted previously).... hopefully they will provide a response.

What I see as significant is the weight reduction between the ML (with one battery installed) and the Q is a bit lighter than the ML even though there are 2 batteries installed. So the weight of 1 18650 battery was removed from the device itself so the Q being a larger device with two batteries weighs less than the ML with one battery. That's an improvement I think...

The Q is made from zinc alloy, aluminum alloy, stainless steel.
I received my Q on Wednesday. My initial thoughts were mixed. The more I use it I like it more and more. The fit and finish are flawless. Great attention to detail. Even the battery sled has a tray where the base of the battery sits. Battery life has been excellent. Same two Samsung Q30's since Wednesday evening. Put them on the charger this morning @ 3.7 volts. Been running stainless steel 0.5 ohm at 30J 470 degrees. Zero battery sag( that should be expected ).
All I can say is that anyone trying to pull 200 watts period on any device deserves the unfortunate results. That's just plain reckless.
I'm sure the device could hit that 200 watt number, for how long and at what resistance I could care less.
I'll never try to find out.
I own every version that Yihi has produced and each one is better than the next.
In my book they have made improvements with every release.
They also listen to their customers with every upgrade.

Do you think a person trying to use a device the way it's advertised is being reckless?
    Or
Do you think a company advertising a 2 x 18650 device as 200 watts is being reckless?

I think it's reckless of any company advertising a dual 18650 mod as being capable of delivering 200 watts. There will be a lot of people that buy this mod (and any other mod that claims the same thing - not just picking on Yihi) that don't read the forums or that are educated in battery safety. They will read the advertising and figure it's safe to use it as such. I think it's irresponsible of companies to operate in such a manner.

    Cheers,
    Steve

Vaping at your settings you should be within the published amperage rating of that battery. Should there be folks not familiar with that battery:
