Good for him for not wanting an analog!

Definiteley drink water...lots! Even when not thirsty drink water.

Keep off the soda! I went through all that sugar free stuff..found a few that i liked then someone advised me to check the sodium levels..good grief!!No wonder i was getting high blood pressure.Drink water and keep your soda intake to a minimum.

I used splenda for years then discovered the bad points. Now i use truvia or stevia.:2c

Anyhoo....drink water!! lots off it.

Vapin is great..stick with it..have fun with it and grats on your choice to choose to live!!:toast:

Good luck to you both:)

What bad points are there to Splenda, if you don't mind my asking? I haven't heard of any.

Gee, i knew someone would ask that....
I am no expert and offer no advice or claim that this opinion is true or fact. I advise you to go online and check jorge cruise and the belly fat cure and look up sucralose. Apparently its the fact they use sucralose which can apparently reduce the good gut bacteria by 50 percent. also they use chlorine compounds which he states CAN cause damage to organs and reproduction functions.

Like i said i am not validating anything he said and has published, just that after reading this i chose to change to stevia or truvia.

I do not wish to pull the thread off topic but as you asked i have shared.

I wish to make no further comments on sweetners.

vape on!!:vapor:

About a 6 weeks ago, my DH and I tried to quit cold turkey - about day 4 I took my dear old mom grocery shopping - guess what? I had to boot her out of her electric chair for about 3 aisles because I could barely walk, my head was swimming, my brain felt like it was actually shaking in my brain pan and I felt like I had gone a weekend binge of Wild Turkey and Hash. I thought my blood sugar was low maybe, because I'd been so nauseous I couldn't really eat much and I'm diabetic - but then I realized that I was actually starting to get oxygen into my system and that it was something similar to the DT's that drunks get.

Sadly we didn't make it much past that evening without buckling and buying analogs - it was that or murder each other. It was then that we decided to check into ecigs.

I've done some analogs every day - 1-4, depending on the circumstances, but we're completely out of them now (we had 2 cartons here we bought 3 weeks ago) and we've been on two long car rides.

By Thursday we'll be on day 4 of vaping only (we have no cash on hand for 2 more weeks :( ) and I'll check back in to see if we get as sick as we did when we tried cold turkey.

Did any of this make sense or remain pertinent?

I guess it depends on who you are in the end.
I'm 54 years old and a former 2 to 3 pack a day smoker since 18 !
I started vaping back at the end of May.
I had a friend send me an ecig just to try.
After a few days of getting use to a knew way of doing things I noticed reaching for the ecig was much easier than lighting up another cigarette !
By June I had completely stopped smoking cigs !
It was just to easy to put the PV in my pocket, puff when I wanted and nothing to toss, burn, stink etc.
I still like that nicotine jolt in the morning.
That's easy, a few drops of 24mg in my MVS makes me and my coffee happy.
Afterwards I enjoy the vaping and flavors more than the nic !
Been tapering down and plan on ZERO NIC soon.
After all these years I found have little need for it, ......
I just like to blow smoke (vapors) !

Oh, I am with you on aspartame. Nasty stuff. But as far as Splenda goes, I think it is one of the best alternatives to sugar. Stevia might be better, but it is cost prohibitive because it is still a specialty item. I didn't mean to argue w/ you...just providing additional info that people might want to know.

Propel is sweetened with Splenda and Sucrose. You can buy it by the bottle or in boxes of individual one serving envelopes. Pretty tasty for those who don't mind the Splenda.....like me.

Haven't seen the single serve propell powders, thanks for the heads up! On a side note, I found some Stevia sweetener on sale at Gelsons and picked some up. The cost was only $2.30 for a 40 pack. I'll have to try it in my homemade cola first and see how I like it, then maybe I'll try it in some coffee juice.
