Midnight Apple from Halo is a winner. The first hit all I could think was Cracker Barrel's stewed apples. After a few more I started thinking, this taste like apple pipe tobacco smells. That is a huge compliment. When exhaling I got a mental picture of walking in to the humidor at Tinder Box with my brother 20 years ago.

This flavor brings back all of my favorite memories of being around smoke shops as a kid. It has a full body tobacco taste with a bit of spice on the inhale. On the exhale it is apple and spice with an undercurrent of aged tobacco. This could easily be an all day vape.

I mainly vape tobaccos 95% of the time, synthetics,Net's if tobacco I'm trying it:)....over my years of vaping the best synthetics I have found and not in this particular order are AVE -Havana gold,Gamel,Flue cured,C&d...Vaporstation-Tampa,Tennesee,Texas,Phoenix...Wordup ecig-Jeff's Vape,Pall Mall,Rockin Runyan 3,Lucky,Jeffs special mix...Mountain Vapor-Flue cured,USA mix,USA Rich...Indigo -The duke, eastwood, indigo classic.

Have had many more while some were decent these to me were cream of the synthetics...Now just got my first order from Ahlusion a couple of weeks ago and I think the ones I got are synthetics(maybe wrong)but I got Sahara's blend,Caramel Wild Woods,Cherry Wild Woods and all are terrific.I know they have there aromatic line which have had samples of before and they were all good as well.

All of Ahl's tobaccos are NET, but I'm pretty sure with Sahara Blend it's a synethetic/NET hybrid. My guess, which I'd even be willing to wager on, is the Turkish side of that juice is all or mostly a synthetic Turkish flavor, and the Virginia is NET. I haven't confirmed that with the maker, that's just based on how the flavor plays out for me.

Whatever it is Jerms it definitely hits the spot for me...I'm mainly like my bacco vapes on the non sweet side but don't mind semi-sweet if done right. You mentioned the PLume rooms smooth and mild earlier be meaning to try that one for sometime, pretty clean juice kind on coils?Have tried some TA juices couldn't stand not done right is understatement...

Me too with Sahara Blend, such a masterly made juice. The juice smells like a freshly opened pack of Camels to me.

Definately try Smooth & Mild. Yep, it's clean on coils. The only reason I know it has TA is that the maker confirmed it, but it's so subtle and restrained I didn't guess it myself. It's a lovely juice, they have some pretty good NETs too but this synthetic is their big winner for me.

Thanks for the replies, guys! Let's try to keep this thread going. It may take some push to give it momentum as typically people go straight for the "Natural Tobaccos" thread for any tobacco flavors. :)

Couple of new reviews, this time of NicVape flavors:

Clove-- I'm not sure if NicVape classifies this is a tobacco flavor, but it was in the "tobacco" list at the B&M that I got it from, so I'll just rate it as one. Ok, I'll be realistic: there's no tobacco flavor in this, whatsoever. So it was probably labeled wrong. Even still, it's really pleasant. Like sucking on a dried clove. Unfortunately I can't keep using it because clove juices crack my tank, but it was a nice change of pace. Be warned: this juice lingers heavily and will mingle with anything you put into your tank or cart afterward. In my case, that really isn't a bad thing, because it turns pretty much any tobacco flavor into a delightful mild clove blend, but I doubt it would taste good with a dessert vape...

I'm wondering if that's true, the lingering, if you're using it in a glass/pyrex tank? I have some clove, but haven't used it yet because I don't yet have my ARO that I ordered, but I'm dying to try it. I never smoked clove cigarettes but always thought they smelled divine.

And to stay on topic: I stopped in at a local B&M tonight to get some needle-tops and a bottom-coil clearo for my new iTaste -- more on that in another post, RE: my review of the Virginia from myfreedomsmokes.com -- and I tried Halo's "Southern Classic." It's not bad, neither as sweet nor as "pipe tobacco" as most of the tobaccos I've tried, nor does it have that smoky taste/smell I associate with natural tobacco flavors; it's a bit spicy, but it also has a definite citrus whang to it, which I didn't care for. Others might like it, though.

Also, I just ordered "Cinnamon Tobacco" from ECBlend -- love their 5mls for $2.50! -- so I'll post about that when I get it. I've tried a couple of their tobaccos, but they would almost certainly go into the "natural tobacco" thread, due to their definite smoky taste/smell, there's gotta be some tobacco absolute in there.

Just got samples of Tribeca and Turkish from Halo. I haven't tried the Turkish yet, and was going to wait to review it until I'd spent some time with both of them, but Tribeca is so interesting I just have to talk about it. :)

Halo:

Tribeca-- Wow. This one is REALLY complex. The aroma is absolutely delicious, like some sort of molasses cookie or something. Notes of vanilla, caramel, hay, and cocoa. There's a background flavor that I can't really describe-- it has that sort of 'green', vegetation taste that I get from V2 Congress, but it's not nearly as strong or offensive. It's much more pronounced when exhaled through the nose. At first I thought it ruined the juice, but the more I vape it, the more I realize it somehow counterbalances the sweeter, chocolaty elements and prevents them from being overpowering. I still think it would taste more like tobacco without it, but I definitely like it nonetheless. All this needs is a little bit of dark-chocolate bitterness and less of that green hay taste, and it would taste almost exactly like the real thing.

Tribeca is one of my favorite RY4s, though I haven't had it in a while.

I've tried them, at that same B&M near here. I didn't care for the Tribeca, just not into sweet tobaccos at all. At the time I tasted it, I *thought* the Turkish was ok, because it's really not sweet. However after I'd vaped it for a couple of hours, I felt like I'd been huffing on a really strong pipe, and later, felt really ill. That was probably due to the 12mg being too strong for me, but I never did like Camel cigarettes, and my reaction to this Turkish was much the same; I just find both a really strange taste. My son was a big fan of Camels before he quit, and he's told me recently that he's been thinking of taking it up again; I advised him to wait till he gets home (he's out of state right now) and I'd set him up with vaping, instead. I think he'd really like the Turkish.

How are the EC blends? I like the prices and the ability to customize or create liquids. I've got a couple of ideas in mind.

The only two of those I've tried of theirs are really strange; one is called "Dirty Ashtray," but that's not what it smells like, exactly. It's something more like, 1970's high school bathroom, 20 yrs or more of cigarette fug soaked into the walls and floors. However the taste isn't too bad, though when I tried it at first, I found it a little too sweet. It's been sitting in there for about two weeks now, and I shook it and opened it today; it might have improved, but I think it's the kind of thing you might put one drop of, in some lighter tobacco, to get more of an authentic flavor. The other was a 'customer creation' called N7115, which said it was strong tobacco with a hint of cigar, and the whiff of it I got today, whew, cigar is right. It smells fairly authentic to me, so there might be some TA in it, but not too much. I think the so-called Dirty Ashtray has too much of it, which is why it would probably be best to mix, *lightly*, with something else. I only got that one because my Virginia Slims were often accused of smelling like cigars, so I thought it worth a shot.

Having identified a trace of cinnamon in the Virginia I'm enjoying, I thought I'd give ECBlend's cinnamon tobacco a try; the few reviews they had were pretty positive.

I will have to qualify this review just a little, based on having just received my iTaste vv3. When I was first tasting this e-juice, I was using an eRoll. Now, with the iTaste, I have to add that if you boost either the voltage or watts with this flavor, it kinda goes to hell; that sort of "celery?" taste I've noted that some folks use to describe some tobacco flavors. Maybe *because* this is a synthetic? Or it might be because the juice I used to fill it was also just received, no time to sit and age a little. Not sure; it tasted great straight from the mailbox, with the eRoll. But, if you use this in a variable v or w PV, it needs to be on the lowest setting.

Andria

Ok, now I must qualify, again. This last qualification was based on the taste of Virginia in an iClear16, which is a top coil, and vapes very warm, even hot, and that heat just destroyed the taste of this e-juice.

However, tonight I got a bottom coil clearo, the Kanger T3S, and hey, the Virginia is back to *great* -- even better than in the eRoll, in fact, because the throat hit is so much improved by the better PV, and I'm still vaping 6mg, so I'm sure that the higher-nic versions would be even better.

I also will have to add that as this juice ages a little, it does begin to acquire a very slight smoky smell; it's not heavy, so I still think this is almost certainly a synthetic blend, but perhaps with a *trace* of TA or extract. It seems to just keep getting better.

So anyone with a top coil thingie, forget this one, you'll just taste celery. Bottom coil, this e-juice is fantastic; I just got a 15ml yesterday when I got the iTaste, and this morning I went ahead and ordered another 30ml; it's payday, and normally I would spend $11 for 2 pks of smokes, which would last about 2-3 days. Instead, 30ml of e-juice, which will probably last till the next payday on Mar 14. :thumb:

And I have now been 36 hrs since my last cigarette. I can't seem to feel the panic that statement would have provoked in me, less than a month ago. :D

Congrats Andria, and to think you were giving yourself to the end of the year...I sort of chuckled to myself when I saw that. You might have a weird week or two, and there are some well-known mileposts that might trip you up at least psychologically, but all in all, it's a pretty painless endeavor.

Just filled up an Aro with something I haven't had in a while, Indigo Vapor Dawn to Dusk. I don't know what it is, but the first time I had it, it had a slight cherry tobacco note, even though the description is tobacco and coffee. I hate cherry, but this became my first ADV. For the first time (and I'm on my 2nd 30mL of this), NOW I taste the coffee!

This bottle was mixed on 8/24/13 (didn't realize it was that old!!) and I still taste the cherry which may actually be the tobacco base and coffee mixing, but it's fantastic.

It could be that I haven't had any since I bought my iTaste VV in December and was using my Spinner. I'm vaping at full throttle (11W) and this juice never misses. A bit dry (one poster described it as "chalky" but I just get a dusty/smoky mouth-feel), and the tobacco is prominent but with the coffee and cherry undertones. Lovin' it just like the first time.

Been vaping Tribeca for like 5 hours straight, it just keeps getting better and better. I think swishing around in the clearo makes it steep faster, because I can sense the 'green' taste dissipating and the toasty notes getting stronger and stronger, which is just delightful. I can't get over how good the aroma is. I vape in my room, get up to do things around the house telling myself "that's enough vaping for today," then the moment I walk back into my room that delicious aroma hits me and I just have to pick it back up again!!

That said, I finally started to feel the taste disappear and realized I needed to change it up before I ended up with vaper's tongue.

Halo:

Turkish-- When I first smelled this liquid, I caught that perfumey scent that usually indicates a nasty vape, and I felt a little dread. It reminded me distantly of FSUSA's Cam-Blend and I thought, "oh no..." Thank God, I was wrong. It IS slightly perfumey, but not at all offensive, and immediately gives way to a really dry woodiness that is delicious. I mean DELICIOUS. It's like a faint cedar. Very refreshing, with a tiny little sweetness at the end. It's not nearly as sweet as Tribeca, which is good, because it needs to be different. This is a new favorite, without a doubt. I can image mixing Turkish and Tribeca together to make an AWESOME vape, but since I've only got 7ml sample bottles, I don't want to do that. I want to try and make these last as long as I can.

I can clearly tell that this juice will improve with steeping, hopefully reducing that perfume and developing into more wood notes.

So far, Halo is seriously winning me over. I like both of these juices way better than the NET's I've tried. Both of these flavors also kick V2 Sahara up and down the street, which until now, has been my only enjoyable tobacco vape.

A lot of people like Halo's tobaccos. I tried to like mine (got the sampler pack) but there was too much "something" in there that was unvapeable to me. All of them except for the Tribeca had a flavor that reminded me of acetone. Even after a month's steep. I gave them all away except for the Tribeca, and I have it as a backup for when I run low on others.

That being said, I think they make a great quality juice, and I LOVE their Tiki Juice. Can't get enough of that. I also use Kringle's Curse and enjoyed the gourmet sampler quite a bit. I will still order from them, but not the tobaccos that were in the sampler.

It's always great to find juices that you can call favorites.
