It is still my most valued tool.

That's beautiful Sedge! I love it! You are so very welcome. Nicely done! :toast:

After Dremeling the air intake I had to knock it apart because of this little piece of burr that was in there. Not sure of it's origin but nothing was created by me today with that operation, it must have been in there just waiting.
So in the end I recoiled with twisted 32 ni200 and got 0.11 ohms. Freehand wrap on silica.
Just wanted to show off my new hole.....and tank top.

The piece of ? looked like a 2 mm length of the spring that's on the 510 adjustment screw (at first glance). I believe it came out of the threaded hole in the disc that the positive post screw screws into, almost like a heicoil

I picked up a SX Mini yesterday. http://.........blogspot.com/2014/10/rollout-sx-mini.html

The top circle containing the 510 connection seems to be exactly 23mm, so the Taifun looks like it was made for it. Will post a pic when I am less lazy. Loving the mod so far. Doing something simple like changing the wattage is more complicated than it should be unless you start leveraging different memory settings. Overall though I love it.

aahhh Beautiful. Samba from the artist collection. Love to hear a review. Got my eye on Sacre Coeur

It's an overused term, but "taste is subjective". I've read posts from folks that hated Samba. I took it as a replacement when the vendor ran out of Dragonscape. I tend to like peach vapes, so I gave it a shot. Turns out it's really mind blowing for me. I will be grabbing more - it's a hoot.

Mines in San Francisco! Hopefully tomorrow, but that's optimistic. I'm expecting Friday... How are we liking it so far?

I am currently in vape heaven. The GT II is a lot like the GT if it had perfect airflow. I don't know about the liquid control business - even from the German reviews it struck me as a hokey implementation at least compared to the KF4's take on it. Who knows how tight is too tight? And once you've got it all put together who wants to take it all apart to fine tune? I just screwed it in until it was snug, but not overly snug. Go figure - it's what I always did with the chimney top cap.

The AFC struck me as a little wonky too when I first unpacked it. It's just a flimsy'ish ring that slides onto the base. Certainly a much different take than the clone AFC version of the GT. However, once I had it all assembled and used it to play around with the airflow I immediately liked it a lot. It moves very easily (likely too easy for some folks) and does what an AFC is supposed to do. Given the choice I would probably take a Squape R type AFC, but this works for me.

With the airflow opened all the way, 8 wrap 26 gauge 2.4 mm coil at 1 ohm, KGD wick, and power dialed into 20 W it hits like a damn cannon. Huge clouds from a 60/40 liquid and the volume is great enough that 12mg (which is what I usually vape) is getting me woozy.

Your mileage may vary of course, but it's doing the job and then some for me. :)

Yeah I have a Squape R but I can't get it to work. I'm hopeful about the GT 2. I figured the juice flow adjustment would be pretty straightforward. But it makes sense though, if you're leaking, tighten it, and dry hits, loosen it. I thought the airflow design looked very well thought out, and hope its not too loose of a ring, like as far as staying in place

The AFC doesn't spin around indiscriminately. If I rub a finger along one side it doesn't move - I need to hold both sides and give a light squeeze while turning to adjust. So that's good enough for me, but I am sure some folks may find it too loose.

That's three pieces of FT 3 mm silica (closer to 2.75 mm) sticking out that wick slot.(TGT-S)
Air intake hole is a bit larger too.

They are there, trust me.

That's a close shave - nice. And I say this in the most plutonic heterosexual way possible, "that's a nice hole Craig".

Seriously looks awesome. It makes me want to bust out the power tools on mine.

^^^ I have been wanting to do that for a while but didn't want to pull the draw tube out and too much air. with this one the draw tube is 2 mm and now that I see Taifun sells one I went with it.
Now that TGT II does come with the necessary pieces to knock that 4 mm air hole down some doesn't it? If not I suppose I have what ever it would take.

Yeah they sell little sleeves. I'm not sure I understand the point of it given the adjustable airflow. I suppose having those little sleeves might serve to concentrate the airflow on the coil for people who are using tighter afc settings if that makes sense. Sort of like the different nozzle attachments for air compressor hoses either concentrating the air or opening it up. Having a tighter piece in that center air hole would shoot the air harder at the coil when the afc is on a more closed off setting, and probably make the vape better. I like more open draws though, so I'll probably pass.

I think that theory makes sense at least haha

The standard one is 2 mm and the optional one is 3.2 mm giving the ability to use larger wick (higher watts)
The air reduction really needs to have the restriction at the outlet (Eg. garden hose, makes a big difference in the velocity of the water depending on which end you restrict.
