Aha
The one I am having trouble with a replaced the O ring is a B, and the bag of Orings I bought says "#12 by 1"
that is why it was so tight. Can I just roll with it like this craig or do I need to buy some 11's?
Leave it to fasttech to make things this difficult. I will never remember what all these o rings go to. Just bought some for the center pin on the MVP

From what I gather the FT type "A" sleeve o-ring fits best with 12 x1 mm and the FT type "B" sleeve fits best with 11 x 1 mm o-ring.
I've been using 12's on the B's and they can start out pretty tight. I have some 11 x 1 mm o-rings on the way.
I've had the sleeve pretty well stuck on there pretty good before and the way I get a hold on it is to put an Allen key through the wick slots and install the chamber cap.
Care must be taken as the coil posts are sometimes in the way of turning the sleeve with the Allen key in place but it can be worked loose without pliers.

I buy my o-rings, 50 to 100 usually, from Orings and More. O-rings
"Metric 70 O-rings" is the sub-category from where I choose the size.
I must add that I've not had the need as yet to replace any of the other o-rings on a TGT other than the one under the sleeve (but I have them)

thanks Roxy-will try that-also the tank is getting some condensation
Not enough vacuum? Try some primer puffs. Cover the airhole and take a pull without pushing the switch on your mod. Let off the airhole at the last moment of your pull. Do this 2-3 x and see how it is.

Maybe
I threw out the old coil and built a new one. Could not work with that too tight Oring I just put on so I took the one from the cap and switched them. Need to get some 11's. Hope it does not leak again now. Not sure which is worse the leaking or the burnt taste.
How could my cheaper version have been so great and the next one so bad. Fasttech and the old hit or miss I guess

I bought A months ago and loved it enough to buy another. Have had B for a few weeks and lots of trouble. I can not tell them apart looking at them and both have the same size wick slots (not tiny like Focalig)
Chimneys attached to cap in both

A or B Clone at Fasttech? Why?

Dropped a hundro at FT today on two more Taifun GT's (#8 and 9), and a bunch of drip tips. I like the wide bore, and the clones are about 10% of the coveted originals that I just can't pull the trigger on. My bad......I am truly loving vaping these days. Vape with Taifun's exclusively and their dripper, and 3 different types of APV's - Provari (2), The Eye, and a Semo. Been focusing a great deal on flavors/juices here:

I think I've dropped maybe 50 recipes on there so far.....all TFA flavorings. Having a good time making juice and vaping the heck out of it these days! Never better.

My B from FT is flawless apart from the ORING being a tad small. A quick dental floss fix makes it all fine.

Whatever you do, never but the focalecig version. Those skinny slots..... Why........

Also shout out to the kind dwcraig who kindly answered my plea for help, and dremeled my juice slots out <3

Keep telling myself that should be the next step for me Bill. In a year have spent thousands on juice and am sick of it. After spending thousands tis this I know "not much difference in any of it except for the description" I'm going to check out that thread

Not much difference in the good juices, but there are bad juices out there, and they're easy to make, lol. But, a lot of good information there if you want to get started. Go back a month or so from now....all you'll need....and it's a long thread! Good luck!

Well guess I will contribute to this thread with my Taifun GT experience.

I purchased one from Angelcigs a little over a month ago. It came with no extra parts. First thing I noticed is that the chimney base was very loose. I was concerned, saw that some people put a dental floss wrap under o ring, but I thought "Hell with it" lets see what happens. Did my 28 ga, 2 mm, 7/8 wrap coil, Organic cotton and filled that mother up! The only thing it does is work like a champ every day. Never a dry hit, never a flood or gurgle, just awesome flavor. The loose chimney never gave me any problems like I thought it might, when I fill it, I pull up on it just a hair so it will push back down to the correct position. Oh, and on filling, I sure don't miss filling up the Kayfuns. That Taifun has it beat hands down. The one I got is a no name.

I decided I liked it so much, I ordered a good HCIGAR Taifun GT clone. I also ordered a Expromizer clone that just hit the market. The HCIGAR Taifun seems to be a lot better than my Angelcigs one, tight chimney, bigger juice cut outs, extra parts, but it cost me $10 more. There is big difference between the 2 Taifuns, but hey my cheap o no name works flawless. I havent tested out the new HCIGAR Taifun Gt yet, but I did Test old faithful Taifun against the Expromizer. The Expromizer is a cross between a Kayfun and A Taifun GT. Basically the build is like a Kayfun, but the fill is like the Taifun, chimney tube is attached to the top cap, so it fills like a Taifun. After a few fills the Taifun GT beats the new Expromizer by far as far as flavor goes. Expromizer is nice because you dont have to get cotton just right through cut outs, but it lacks on flavor. Vapor production about the same.

I don't know why the Taifun doesn't get more hype, it is a GREAT RBA. Huge tank, and you can fill and forget. Got so tired of Kayfun filling issues. I had very high hopes for the New Expromizer, but they fell compared to the Taifun. I think my long quest for the perfect RBA is finally over.

My Taifun experience

ivogo clone under twenty bucks
1.4ohm build using 30g kanthal, single 2mm silica wick threaded through the coil with a second flavor wick on top, on a Sig ZMax V5

Been lucky with no leaks from the first build , even carried in pants pocket thanks to the many youtube videos.
Best flavor vape to date and the coil and wick last a long time. Now I need more GT's since I do not seem to want to vape the same flavor for as long as the tank lasts. I will probably even try to open the air flow up on one of my future Taifuns.
