Dropped my Eye on the tile floor, the bottom cap popped off and it bent the side of the 18650 tube. I got it back to near perfect, but the cap will not completely seat now. First ..... in the armor. I've contacted Smoker Store about it. They sell a telescoping tube, but not an 18650 tube (18350, 18500, and telescoping only). I stuck a magnet in it for now, but I'm not sure if that's a good idea or not. Thoughts?

Oh crap!!...that sucks..but why don't you check vapinart.com they had the eye in stock and I think its accessories too. They are in the US and if I remember correctly their prices were not that far off from the European websites..they sold the eye for $300 or so

Yeah, they still have The Eye. I didn't see any tubes. I've written them, and ordered the telescoping tube for now from SmokerStore. The magnets appear to work fine for now. I can probably take this to a shop and get this fixed, as it's only out of round by a smidgeon. Probably a ring resizer would do the trick, as well. We'll see. thanks for the suggestion. I didn't know that any US company carried this product. Many thanks!

My taifun seems to get pretty warm,is anyone else getting this or is it normal?
Taifun gt
Sigelei mod
0.8ohms
26gauge 9wraps 1.4mm
Cotton thru coils
Built the coil slightly lowered

Do you feel that your getting enough air? That would make it hot if not.
With the low coil and number of wraps you have a lot of coil that may not be in the air path, just thinking here.

Yeah, I have one of those. But it drives me nuts, not knowing how much juice I have in the tank. And it also doesn't fit *all* of my GTs. Some of my bases just won't screw onto it.

I just keep thinking it is time for whoever it is that actually manufactures this exceptional RTA to come out with a new version with a glass tank. I'm sure it would require some re-engineering, like the RSST people did when they came out with a glass tank version. But I'd sure spend my money on it, and I'm betting a lot of others would, too.

Until I can get a version with a glass tank, I have to keep using other brands, or that darn metal tank any time I want to use a juice that cracks plastic tanks. Shoot, I even had my menthol juice crack one! I love banana, too, and have to use my leaky RSST for it. (I've never learned to use it without leaks, which also means I basically have to use it at my desk.... I certainly can't put it in my purse, or even hang it around my neck with a lanyard, which I do all the time with my provari/GT combination.)

I think they could even make a conversion kit for this. Don't you guys think so?

I do think so and am waiting patiently for a glass tank to come out. This is what always drives me back to rebuilding the Protank. I just love the glass and the size.

G weezy-any chance you can explain this better because I have leaking and burnt taste.
Talk to me like I don't know anything (what is the 'post?")

I had both of the insulators on the post melted a little. Was running the tank to low. Was getting burnt taste and leaking for awhile. My remedy. I took one post out and flipped the insulator. Did the other side once this side was screwed back into place. No more leaking and burn taste. Everything working flawlessly.

To most....what range ohms do you prefer to vape at in this tank? Right now I've found my sweet spot at .80-1.00.

Once I had a short in a Ithaka clone where the coil leg burnt an o-ring, what a flavor, burning tires. I had a hard time getting that smell out of there. What did the trick was to soak the parts in mint Listerine. I still do this on new atties where a normal cleaning doesn't remove the machine oil smell.
