Judging by the atties in your sig I don't think you will be disappointed by the Shenray GSL, airflow isn't that different, I have no problem lung hitting the GSL with just the bottom open, and if you need a bit more you can always open the top. Flavor hit is pretty negligible with the top open.

I need to update my sig.... My current attys have been the gt2, crown (which I like a lot), aromamizer... to name a couple of the more recent additions. I tried to use the Squape R the other day and its like drinking a milkshake thru a thin straw now. I also got a gem recently ... yeah that was a bad buy....

crown (which I like a lot),
Hear great things about this. If I were not stuck in 'advanced Tootle puffer mode" I would buy one
I am exercising discipline in not moving forward into high watts because, even though I like it, I feel like it could become a never ending quest for more watts, more heat, more airflow...endlessly needing more with never enough in sight...reminds me of other things I chased in the 80's in Southern Cal....no amount was ever enough...I hit the Isub and Lemo a couple times a day, when I first wake up with coffee, maybe after dinner. Gotta stay happy where I am at for lungs sake

Well at least you have no illusion about how this works. ;)
At first 15 watts is more than enough. Then 20 watts? No way.. 30 watts?!? Are you crazy? I never go above 20 watts now! Then 40 watts... Well ok, it has temp protect. I don't need the wattage but I want to try temp protection.... Now it's 200 watts! With temp protection that governs you around 20ish watts (kinda where you started!)

Oh wait, maybe that was just me. LOL [emoji14]

I guess Im a true "tootler" as I have one device that is a 60 watt and the highest its ever been run is 10.2 watts :) I had a P3 and sent it to my best/ boyfriend to hopefully get him off cigarettes.

PS All the rest of my MODs ( too many ) are mechs...

Btw: how long did the 316L take to arrive for you? My tracking isn't even working yet. :(

So the dimwits at FT have replied with a response that was not what I expected. I expected 'what, you say wrong part? What is right part? what are talking about? Can you send another picture?'
Instead I got "we can either send the right part right away or wait until your next order, which is your preference?"
Needless to say I opted for "send right away.'

Probably not the only one.

I have had nothing but stellar assistance from the FT CSR's the few times I needed them to replace a product or quite often split/shuffle an order.

Much better support than from my local B&M. Who basically told me I didn't know how to use the eVic VTC Mini that had TC problems. In the end they gave me a store credit and I replaced the VTC with an iPV D2. Of course two days later a new firmware came out that semi-fixed the TC issues I had struggled for 3 weeks trying to get working.

Focalecig has great CSR's as well, they will give you the date of expected stocking if a product is out or offer other options like FT does.

GearBest... Their version of the Chinese language does not have a definition for the words Customer Support or Honesty.

It got here in 14 days? Canadian post is almost as slow as Fastech. I now have the stainless in everything.... I like it.
Canada Post leaves a lot to be desired, I have received product from China faster that from across the county or from the US. They do offer a Priority mail service but you will pay the same as FedEx or Purolator.

Phoneguy, just curious, what don't you like about the Gem, mine is just a $20 clone, but I find it pretty decent for a single coil atomizer.

I managed to get hold of an original Gem of someone who wasn't keen on it, and also took the plunge as well and got hold of the clone one, and like you say the clone version is certainly a cracking buy for the price, and I have had no issues with it either. Both of them are delivering great flavour :)

I used to have a Wizards Ap 2, and was looking forward to the GEM as it looked so wonderful together and I also loved the look.

I waited to see what people were saying about it, and kinda glad...

I have bad hands ( and suffer from anxiety ) so things have to be rather basic and easy. I noticed it was kinda half and half, some were saying it was too complicated or finicky. Some said it was easy and amazing. Some said it was a great atomizer but considering the price and the minor hassle it was not worth the extra work for something that I think was almost 200? I was happy with what I had and some of the iffy reviews were those that had the atties I have so I decided to pass.

Its is a beauty and well made, but like the wizard its finish is so unique that I sold the WAE2. Too much money for a device that I would probably never use as much. I read the finish was delicate, the size also was limited to only a couple atties that either matched the diameter or finish. I lost money, but in the long run, glad I sold it. I know I would have been nervous taking it around, I DONT baby my MODs, I USE them.

Plus Im an idiot and I KNOW that I would have inserted the battery backwards and fried it.

Mark Bugs makes gorgeous and amazingly manufactured devices, but too "nice" for me.

Airflow. On mine it's so tight, I know is something is wrong. When you look at your removable build deck, when you look into the air how on the side, what do you see? Is it plugged (see the white insulator) or open?

If I look straight on I can see the white insulator, if I look on an angle it is open, Airflow is fairly decent on it, I have no problem with lung hits, a little restricted, but not bad at all.

I had originally ordered the more expensive version (and as I recall, the only version available at the time I placed my order) from FT at $21.16, they have since changed the pictures and clicking on the item number takes you to the $19.03 version by default, oh and my order ticket shows they lowered my original price to $20.10 from $21.16.... I am still not sure what the differences are, but mine had a air draw that was insanely tight... no way to lung hit. On the "B" version from FT ($20.10) which you have to select in the drop down menu, the inside insulator looks to be user removable, and what looks to show a wide open path from air inlet to under the coil. I could be wrong? but that is what it looks like to me from just the pics...

I managed to get the insulator out (of mine) using a blunt hex head driver and a pliers as a hammer to pound out thru the raised post. I then using a light rpm hobby dremmel type tool cut away some of the smaller insulator (which looks kind of like a wedding cake shaped, larger on the bottom smaller on the top), and I beveled the metal plate that holds the longer post (now its tapered in the center, think dog bone shaped). That helped a lot, I would compare it to a kayfun type draw now... Not as open as my GT2. I may be being to over critical of it. Now with the modifications I made, its vape-able... before it was way too tight of a draw out of the box...There is no doubt, to me, mine had a QC issue and messed up somehow, but like I read somewhere, you cant expect perfection from a $20 clone of a $175 device...so a little tinkering comes with the territory. I wanted it solely for my wizard, which I rarely use... I couldn't justify spending the authentic price tag on it... Had I found an affordable bargain on an authentic I may have went that way, but now I am plenty satisfied.... and if/when I decide to take it apart again, I'll try to remember to snap a few pictures, which I completely forgot to do (DOH!).

Ok, so I have a Taifun GSL coming (soon?) it's the Shen Ray version from focal.

Daniel made some comments about a few modifications need to pull it from sub par depths. ;) can somebody post a link to information I need to know, that I didn't know I needed to know right now, but will ultimately need to know - - - you know!? ;) :D
