this goes against what most say. After about two years and hearing from peeps that had both (authentic and clones), I am a firm believer that there is not a lot of difference. I know why folks vouch for the authentic. I am a believer in the real thing when it comes to a designer something (Louis Vuitton handbag) and will pay the money for the real deal when it matters. In the case of the Taifun I do not think it does.
That just hasn't been my experience more often than not. The more complicated the design the worse the clone. I just saw some mark bugs gem clones and even in pictures they look terrible.
I think there are some very good clones out there. This one piece I couldn't find one that worked worth a damn but I wasn't willing to put $100 into finding one vs buying an authentic second hand. When the clones are $20-25 per and you have to buy three and none of them have resale. When does it become better to just buy and sell authentics? You may lose $50 at the absolute most if you use an authentic for a vey very long time. If you use it for six months and choose something in relative demand you lose $30. Which isn't much more than buying one clone and probably less than buying two or three to find a good one.
If it was easier to return stuff to
fasttech I'd probably buy more clones again. I have a few clones here that I love. Starting with the ehpro kayfun lite plus v2 which to me is better than the authentic due to dual air holes. Another great clone. Tobeco hurricane - my bottom pin was wonky and it doesn't have spring loading but in practical use its great. The reseller also offered to swap it on eBay by I didn't end up needing too. I feel the hurricane people totally ripped off taifun design as did the über toot. I have no problem buying clones of either of those. The über toot clone is supposed to be outstanding but I already have a hurricane clone and authentic taifun so I'm looking for a new design.
There's a place for clones with me. The taifun gt2 hotcig clone really let me down. When everyone said it was he best going I figuredi should fight to return the two I had and get a used authentic for a bit more.
Please don't mistake me as saying clones always suck. I really don't think that. I do honk there's a time when given the community we are in we owed it to the boutiques who come up with something new and good to buy authentic too. Almost all the innovation in the last two years for the mainstream has come from notified manufacturers. So yah if I can I'll get an authentic.
I really want a piccoloid setup. I just can't afford €160 right now. If there was a clone well
reviews I'd probably try it.
I am very pro
Clone on mech mods. To be honest. I think those are ridiculously priced most do the time. But there's nowhere near the r/d of an innovative atomizer.
Anyway. Clone don't clone I'm just relaying my thoughts on the hotcig clones of this piece. They were really bad. Twice in a row. By I liked he vape enough to know id be ok buying an authentic. I wen through a bad period wih
fasttech where I ordered like $120 worth of stuff that all arrived broken and I was just fed up.
That said my experience wih mark bugs has been frustrating too. The gem clone looks terrible but I ordered clone glass tanks and hope they fit. Mark bugs glass tanks are terrible.
To the infinity coil
Here's one for the lung hitters. I've used these with temp control too for what it's worth. Been a while. I forgot how much I like them.
Here's a single coil with a smaller gauge but the other way round
So what other tanks have you guys found are really good clones lately? I was thinking of getting an erlkonigin clone or erlprinz (their own cheaper clone). Anyone tried either? Or is the über toot that much better than this taifun? The gem id say has better flavor. For most flavors. But it's a pain in the backside to build
