Its too bad you dont want a Provari.....I know its expensive but it will last for years....
I was at a brick and mortar the other day.... I checked out the VAMO/SMax/VMax/eVic ......very cheaply made when compared to a Provari..
You get what you pay for....

I bought the Vamo first. And the reason for this was that I could still afford the extra batteries(4-18650) the charger(Pila charger), a few tanks, a few cartomizers, a 510 to ego adapter, a few juices, a carrying case and only a $150 invoice. A couple of months later a bought a Provari because I now had all the things needed to use it. For a lot of us, it's more than just $159 "start up cost". And forget it if you buy all that stuff from the provape shop. Even if you just get the blemished model with just 4 batteries,(cheap) charger, extension cap(Kind of a ripoff) it comes to around $215. Now, don't get me wrong, the Provari is nice, but not perfect(Variable Wattage?). The vamo is nice and it works well (VV/VW). With all that being said, I think the Vamo is a great place to jump off into the world of "Mods" and have some money left to play with the thing. Then you can decide if you want to move forward. I don't know what happens to some Provari users that they can't see other peoples perspectives and let them buy the products that suit their budget and needs.:2c:

I believe I have stated more than once in this thread that I do want a ProVari... I am definitely not in a financial situation to go that route at the moment, when you consider that this is mostly about having a VW device. The second quoted post explains my way of thinking perfectly. If ProVari had a VW device available I would definitely be saving up for that instead. I would get another Spinner or eGo type VV battery to hold me over and have a better backup while I waited, they don't break the bank. I fully understand that it is of superior build quality and would be a more durable and long lasting device... but my invoice would read somewhere in the $300 range, I have no batteries or chargers for these devices and I would still be lacking the VW that I was after in the first place. If I run into a good deal in the Classies, maybe I will have one earlier than I think. I am not looking for a status symbol here, I don't really care what people think about my vaping equipment, as long as I am satisfied everything is good. What's left in my checking account has a ton to do with that satisfaction. I just went through an extended slow period at work, 2 months of 20-25 hours a week, at the same time as my living expenses tripled due to moving to an apartment versus sharing a house for super cheap rent. I am getting sick amounts of overtime now so maybe I will be able to move on this soon.

I wouldn't call that comment condescending... maybe a bit closed minded. Send me some money and I will get a ProVari and a VAMO :p I will thank you for your input anyway, even though you failed to see the point.

I'm in the same position. I do want a ProVari, but I'm not ready to drop that sort of cash just yet. I did a lot of research and rifling of posts, as well as Youtube, before I decided on the Vamo. I just ordered it last night so I can't give any sort of experienced input; that's just what I thought would be what I would like best (short of a ProVari). As much as I wanted the stainless one, I went with the black chrome. I think it will be cool.

My local B&M has a Sigelei ZMax in stock. Held it with no battery, feels nice and solid, has a good weight to it. I could see myself going that route. A bit on the pricey side with no battery/charger... but I'm strongly considering a purchase today. I have to look into battery and charger prices and see what I'm gonna do about this. While I was there I ran into a ProVari owner who handed me his device. After holding the ProVari in my own hands I can tell that it is obviously a superior tube. The issue still remains that even from the Scratch and Dent selection, I could still stock up on a couple batteries and a charger for that ZMax, or a VAMO for the price of just the battery tube of the ProVari... and then there's the VW thing I am after.
