Not tank tools, Acer. Dancing was after the flavors that destroy poly tanks.

And yes, if you're referring to these

they're in my tool kit as well. Great little devices. :thumb:

I use the KFL a LOT. And, since I prefer to see how much is left in the tank, I use plastic.

I almost exclusively DIY, so I don't care about pre-made juices.

I recently started vaping a 13% Root Beer Float. It's wonderful. But, it definitely tastes carbonated (like Root Beer). That sharpness worries me. It may have something acidic in it to give it that taste.

Of course, I'm interested in all flavorings. I want to experiment without worry.

I've vaped DIY Root Beer, Lemon, Lime, Orange and Grapefruit in plastic toppers from CE-2's and Vivi-Nova's to Kanger Subtanks, Orchids, Kayfuns, and only had a problem once.

It was a CE-4 style (exact model escapes me) and I didn't like it's performance anyway. Tossed it and didn't look back. It appears the manufacturers changed the formulation of the plastic used in response to the issue. YMMV

Hmm. I hope you're right.

But, I do also have plastic clearomizers that I still use, Vision Victory. So, maybe I should save those for 'special' flavors.

@DancingHeretik - Maybe that "sharpness" you're tasting in the RB is ethyl alcohol? IIRC most all root beers have it in them. I'm not on my laptop that has my "tank cracker" list saved on it, nor my spreadsheet of flavorings I've ordered that shows all their ingredients. But RB was definitely on the tank cracker list. Cinnamon flavorings like Fireball, Red Hots, etc. were also on it for sure.

Pineapple was on it, too, but I use it in several eliquids I make and haven't had any problem at all with it. It does tend to affect syringe plunger black rubber though, as does Banana Ripe by TFA...which does bigtime!

I just went and checked a couple of their cinnamon flavorings. No warnings. Isn't cinnamon supposed to be a tank cracker?....

Cinnamon is one of the flavors usually mentioned. I gave up the flavor before I gave up metal 510 attys or cartos, so never tried it in plastic.

I don't know whose Root Beer (rootbeer) Float you use but both TFA and FW do not have warnings about damage to plastic. They can clog/gunk up a coil prematurely (most dark flavors do); but I found no warnings about damage to plastic.

If you like a "fizzy" hint in your mixes I encourage you to play with TFA's Champagne. It adds a "bubbly" note without altering taste.
