Well you might call vape shops in your area, there MAY be one competent employee of oh, say one hundred that knows how to do this.

Alternately, if you have a therapist, do it with them. I mean, hopefully you have a therapist and hopefully they would do that. I WOULD with an overage client.

With that said, I also used to routinely let my kid make soldering iron patterns with a blow torch he OWNED (at like age 5) and I saw no harm in it. I'm pretty easygoing about fire. I mean, I have not ever accidentally set anything on fire etc., but it's probably not for a lack of trying.

To be fair, I had the kid do it outside.

I would just charge your batteries to full (4.2V) and put in 2 of them just to see if it's a problem with the mod or the batteries.

I doubt it's the batteries though. Most of mine are streaky.

I thought it wasn't safe to charge to 4.2 volts and 4.1 volts was safer .. Im just to paranoid to vape external battery mods I think. sigh -.- When I touch the batteries I'm like on high alert that they might blow up in my hand.. Another irrational fear .. Lol.

OKC, OK
I'm really finding it difficult to believe a little juice spill on one battery killed it. There has to be some other issue there.
Check it again, is it actually dead? If so, it's time to get another 4 batteries to once again start with 2 married sets.

On another issue, calling Canadian vapors, someone please swing by and re-wrap a battery;)

Luckily I don't have kids or I would probably be full on grey hair at the age of 38.

If this is causing you additional stress and anxiety maybe you should consider internal battery mods or other methods of smoking cessation (E.g. gums, patches, sprays).

Yeah, I have a mental disorder which makes me extremely paranoid over certain things, sometimes irrational. I have Agroaphobia with panic disorder. I am afraid of seeing blood. I am afraid of telephone poles moving in the wind. I am afraid of crossing the road in fear I will faint in the middle of the road and get run over. I take medication to leave the house but it doesn't completely remove the fear. Sadly I would probably have to waste money unless, someone in my area could show me how to rewrap batteries in person - otherwise I won't gather enough courage on my own.

I completely understand your issues but that shouldn't stop you learning from home :) Anything can be got over little by little. Each effort you then make where there are no negative consequences teaches you that you can rather than you cannot.

Good luck with everything :)

I'm almost full on grey at the age of 43! But, it runs in my family. Etc. I love it and stopped dying it, (except how wiry it gets, that is a PITA) I almost considered re-dying and then was like, "Just... BE like Einstein." LOL.

If you are that uncomfortable with external batteries it may be safer to stay with internal this is one time it might actually be cheaper.

It is Perfectly Safe to charge a 18650 Battery to 4.2 Volts. And that is what the Vast Majority of people do.

Where you might have read something about Charging to 4.1 Volts is that charging to 4.1 Volts is supposed to prolong the Batteries Overall Lifespan slightly.

For what a 18650 Battery costs, and for How Long they last when Charged to 4.2 Volts as is, I question just how much real Benefit there is to Charging to 4.1 Volts?

But to some, that is what they think is Best.

THe mod uses two batteries. Arrow sense mod. Charging them with an external battery charger.

The mod works with the battery I thought was ruined. I tested it again. This is so weird. It didn't work when i tried it before. I know the door to the mod is hard to open and close, you have to push down on it . I know I put the batteries in correctly each time i tried (I triple check this because I am paranoid I'll blow up if I put them in the wrong way).

I also know the mod automatically turns on when I put the batteries in it, even if I shut it off before taking the batteries out. Is this a sign of malfunction, or does the mod just not remember it was turned off?

I live on a cold island in Canada, where no one wants to visit, called newfoundland. There are no vape shops in my area, I have one friend that vapes in my town lol. Hopefully he knows how to re-wrap Ill be asking him :D

Rewrapping is not that difficult at all....lol trust me if i can do it ;) you can do it...
just remove any jewelry before beginning, just in case....don't want any metal to touch the battery....
don't use scissors or anything metal, pick at the wrap with your nails, this is the hardest part, until it tears off...
there's an insulator ring at the top of the battery, don't lose that, you'll need it
slide the battery into the new wrap
I suggest getting a pair of gloves if you have sensitive fingers
using a hairdryer on medium to high start to shrink wrap the battery
don't forget to put the insulator ring back on the top of the battery and then shrink wrap it back into place

The entire casing is negative. Only the top of the battery is positive. You can use a knife to cut off the bottom part of the wrap - there's nothing to short.

Get a friend to show you how to rewrap. I used this link from @sonicbomb 's blog

Use a hairdryer on low heat, instead of a lighter. I use my ceramic tweezers to rip off the old wrap and to hold the battery while heating the wrap.

    Battery wraps are FUN ;)

Here’s a photo of the inside, one side looks like juice stuck on it .

Is it safe to use like that? How do I clean it ?

    View attachment 801133

I would use Isopropyl Alcohol, should be able to pick up a bottle at a chemist. It's better than water for cleaning inside stuff because it evaporates away. Use a piece of rolled up paper towel, or a Q tip for tight spaces. If the terminals that contact the battery are dirty you can clean them with a pencil that has an eraser on the end. Just use the rubber end to rub the gunk off.
