Thanks so much, I couldn’t find any videos how to clean the inside just the outside where the tank sits!

If you are talking about the 510 connection, I just twist up a dry paper towel and press it into the 510 and twist. Everything comes clean and shiny with a few turns. It cleans the threads as well as the center contact. As Topwater Elvis said, just blow out any traces of paper fibers after that.

Alcohol won't hurt it, just use a paper towel wetted with alcohol if the dry towel method doesn't get it off.

I also have my first external batteries mod, and questions. I've watched a lot of videos but I'm not clear on certain points.

I'm getting my second Voopoo Drag today or tomorrow. The first one was killed, I think by someone trying to charge it via its mini USB, while I had the batteries in my room, charging one after the other in a one battery charger.

Would that have killed it? And is it bad for me to charge one battery at a time? Thank you.

Yes this might killed the board.
It is suggested to use properly paired batteries

Same Brand
Same size
Same chemistry
Same Mah rating
Same Charge
Same CDR
Same age

and charge/discharge always together!

Ok, thanks. Until I get a 2 battery charger I'll hope it's ok to charge the 2 batteries in the unit. At least they'll be together.
