Iv been using a Provari with a assortment of tanks lately and carry it everywhere in the side tool pouch on my pants leg since my job requires allot of walking and moving around. When I sit, I don't have any problems. When I rode the Colorado Rockies on my dirt bike, I had no problems.. But when I walk around the tank slowly unscrews and falls off. I have lost one Pro-tank because the pants tool pouch allows the tank to stick out about 1/2 way, so I safety pinned the top of the pouch a little higher. This might prevent me from losing another tank, but Id prefer to know the tank cant unscrew..

Is there a devise or trick I can use to keep the tank from unscrewing while walking?

Thanks!

Curious to read what others post. I've had the same thing happen to me, but thankfully I haven't lost any tanks, just a few cheap drip tips that have popped off. The tanks usually just unscrew and fall next to the provari in the tech pocket.

That happens with just about anything you put in your pocket that can unscrew without much force.

Imagine when you take a step forward your leg rubs up against the device thus screwing it out a tad bit. After about 10-30 minutes of continuous walking and it unscrewing a tad bit every time you take a step, you eventually unscrew it completely.

Solution: Tighten your tank on your mod a tad more (Don’t crank it on there, you might mess your threading up). Just get it tight enough where it takes a little force to get it to start unscrewing.

Usually, my tanks fall next to the provari also, which is now even more difficult to retrieve with the pouch safety pinned higher.

The Teflon tape might be working. I was also skeptical about the electrical connection and air holes, but I cut a narrow piece, rolled it, and wrapped it in the center left handed. Time will tell..

Thanks!

So far the Teflon tape has worked. I'm thinking about aluminum tape instead.

I carry my Provari/Protank in an open-top holster from SerenityGear Leather. I haven't had any problems yet, although I do have to explain what it is a lot.

If a sew the tool pouch on these fire-hose pants tighter.. The Provari wont flop around as much.
