You are wise to stock up as I am while you still can afford to. Yes, they will tax it. The e-cig industry is now pushing close to 1B in revenue. You think they are going to just let that go without a cut of the action? Pull the other finger...

I am stocking up on 100mg nic liquid, as well as any other items proprietary to e-cigs, such as coils before they become as expensive to buy as analogs. As I have said in other posts, a vaping doomsday prepper...

I think it's just a matter of time folks..... I've started my stash, ordered a bottle of nic, supposed to come in the vape mail today. I'm also going to place an order for a mech mod in the next few days. I like my iTaste vv v3s but I'm worried that by the time they wear out the "e cig" tax will be a reality in most states. The .......s have already gotten enough of my tax money from the cigarette taxes I paid for 38 years...

Oh, and the electricity you'll end up using to charge them, Banned!
Cotton can be used for wicking?!? ohshi! ban!
Electrically conductive wire? Pfft, not any more sonny.
Water goes in liquids? BAN IT
Oxygen is used to vape? Get rid.

I am actually looking at a bulk buy of say, 5gal of nic liquid. Pretty much enough to last me until I go in the ground. Stuff like flavors, PG/VG, wire, etc. I am not so much worried about, since they have other uses. Gonna start buying and stashing ProTanks and a few RBA's as well, perhaps a couple more cheap mods to just leave alone and put on the shelf. Oh yeah, and replacement coils for the PT's. I figure a $100 order to Fastech should keep me going for a good long time, considering re-building.

I loath these people...Good luck in Washington state. I am sure New Yorkistan isn't far behind ya.

especially not with NJ wanting to pass a tax on e-liquid that will be equal to the tax on a pack of cigarettes.
hi jarbs, correct me if i'm wrong but doesn't NJ want to tax ejuice at about $100 per 30 ml bottle?
they think that replaces the lost taxes from the cig sales they'll lose.
regards
mike

Yup I believe the hearings and comment period are tomorrow. If it happens here others will fall in line soon after.

That's just crazy! One of the reasons I decided to start vaping was because now that I am retired I didn't want to spend a fortune on smokes. Holy crap!!:mad:

So what can you purchase after things get taxed that wont be taxed? What things should you stock up on and what things can you still get without tax after this all goes down? I want to stock up on the important things, but not waste my time stocking up on things they can't put the tax on. Also, how long would it take for it to go into effect? I order my juice from MBV, so I need to stock up with my favorites of theirs.

If we're lucky it'll be equal to the tax on a pack of cigarettes. On the other hand, if the state uses cigalike manufacturers' marketing claims ("This 1ml carto corresponds to 1 or even 2 packs of cigarettes!"), then vaping will become far more expensive than smoking.

Score one for the public's health!
