Unfortunately true. Irrationality is the norm -- like those idiots I run across in the comments sections of articles about vaping. They have this knee-jerk, unthinking AT ALL response to e-cigs: "a cigarette is a cigarette." Which just underlines the unfortunate nature of the name, but that ship has sailed. If they hear the word "cigarette" at all, they ASSUME (remember the cliche about assuming!) that an e-cigarette is just as bad, just as deadly, just as stinky -- without THE SLIGHTEST thought or experience which might inform their judgment a little better.

Idiots. I really hate idiots -- which is exactly why I'm basically a hermit -- idiots are running things, they're everywhere.

I have been stocked up for a while now. Not only with Nicotine but with mods and lots of spare toppers and parts for rebuilding. I will be good for years to come. Hope to quit vaping maybe in a couple years anyways. Two years I went from 24mg to 12mg now. I am more worried about high taxes put on everything that rises prices drastically. Got about 30 vape devices unused. If vaping is banned maybe I will open a museum of vaping.

Because when they started, they actually resembled cigarettes -- cigalikes -- and the name stuck. Now if you want a non-vaper to have ANY idea what you're talking about, "e-cigarette" is what they know. My husband and my mom now know that if I'm hunting for my "vaporizer," "mod," or even "vape doohickey", exactly what I'm talking about, but they had to be taught. Those who are not personally acquainted with vapers have never had the opportunity to learn our lingo. :D

Well I'll be taking the last step in my preparations in case the idiot opponents win and will be getting the simplest mech mod I can so I'll always have a way to vape already budgeted for an emergency purchase of eight litres of nic base which at current usage would be eight years worth more then enough time to find a workaround or loophole :).

being a fairly new vaper 45 days cig free of a 40 year pack a day habit I think I will learn some diy. I have 100mg juice - thank you my American friends - I have a drawer full of imported Chinese fountain pens, - thank you my Chinese friends - they won one with tobacco and I fought them hard. but that was before the net - they will use the kids like they did with tobacco - iI will stockpile and hope some youngster figures out how to extract nicotine from tomatoe leaves. taxation will be the issue. by the way I made my first juice one flavour - watermelon, hasn't steeped yet and it sure doesn't taste like the good stuff BUT I did do it and have ordered a zillion other flavours - think I'll add a little commercial to my homemade juice to make it taste better

    The above linked article said:
They were raided for allegedly selling “fake products” to customers.
Misrepresenting products to retail customers is bad ju-ju. Think is, I doubt any US manufacturer in the vape industry has the connections needed to get JBTs to raid a small business, so I'd speculate this was about some of the other products that business was selling,

    The above linked article said:
"We also carry many types and styles of cell phones. We carry jewelry and DVDs as well.”

Apple and the movie industry do have the connections...

My vapocalypse prep is ongoing. 1.5 ml of nude nic. Since I just got a house in Seattle, I'll have freezer space for some long term storage. Since I just got a house in Seattle with a giant yard, I'll be inviting vapers over every week for a vape n smoke bbq. Bring your own booze and beef, hot tub is over there, ejuice dispensers with a big label "Not for Inhalation" over there by the charger bank and build stations, throw some dollars in the donation bucket if you wanna support the next VapeNGrill Weekend.

If I get flack from the gov for doing this, I'll be forced to form a club, like the Elks, charge a minimal membership fee, and carry on. I'd love to figure out what grounds the gov comes up for warrant; "no Officer, there's no ejuice here. Those guys are putting soft drink syrup in their incandescent flashlights. Crazy, huh? Sorry you can't come in while on duty but you know, the only pork in the yard is on the grill and all, donuts were gone this morning. Before you go, wave at the security cameras if you like, you're on YouTube."

They can try to keep us from vaping, but it's gonna happen. Even if it's just in my little corner of Seattle, with free "soft drink syrup" for all.

Surely you don't mean 1.5ml. Even 1.5 liters isn't going to last very long if you're inviting people over for vape parties. That would only be 3 years worth of nic for me personally, and I expect to live longer than that.

Pg and VG are widely used products that will never be banned.
PG is used in everything from high end food flavorings to iv drugs.
It will never be banned. Same with VG, widely used and impossible to ban.

MAYBE they ban sales of liquid Nicotine, but that's not an easy task banning liquid nic and allowing big tobacco to stay compliant, so I doubt we will see it any time soon.

Dedicated e cigs may be regulated, but raw materials will never go away.
They are commonplace items that are heavily used.

I agree with this completely, its to big of an issue to simply allow only one nictonie substance but refuse the other. it wont happen.

It's already happening in Europe even if the deadline for the TPD is May 2016. Already the sites I normally shop from in the UK are not selling NIcBase cross border. I think I'm pretty much well stocked up on nicotine, most of it in the freezer. I'm currently stocking up on RTA's, RDA's and basic mods. But then you know, the Chinese are very ingenious. There will always be these at a pinch $6.87 510 Cree XP-E R2 3-Mode 280-Lumen Pure White LED Flashlight - works w/ 510 e-cigarette batteries at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Don't rush. That is what we in Europe thought about nicotine in general. We figured if online sale of nicotine, whether cross border or domestic, is allowed in the form of patches, gum, inhalators etc then it could not possibly be prohibited in other forms, right. Wrong! I can no longer buy nicotine base online, apart from a couple of countries that have not as yet enforced the TPD, whereas I can still easily get 25mg patches, gum, inhalators etc straight off Amazon.uk. If you think politicians' minds are logical - think again. :(
