Pizza they also get hard to turn when the controller breaks loose and raises up enough to cause the thumbwheel to rub against the case. I had mine do that a couple times.

Yep, what 5'er said can also happen. I had a pcb come unglued to it's little rim under it because I had a bad habit of just turning it upside down and plopping the batteries in. That's the pcb they are butting up against...so now I'm gentle when I change my batts.

Try the tapping in the picture post and see if that helps. If it seats the dial and frees up the wheel, roll it back and forth a bunch of times to clean out any debris that might be in it.

If you end up needing the whole pcb re glued just holler and I'll hook you up with the RMA form and where your son can pay for it It's a simple repair for $10.95+shipping.

I'll check it out tonight. I did try doing some poking and pushing, but not much as I didn't want to cause more damage. Seeing the pics will help.

And.... Just in case I can't fix it, don't none of you all go and tell my son how cheap it is to repair!!!

Mike told me to ask for help before I send in my buzz. I put fresh batteries in, get about 5-10 hits and the batteries die. when I moved them to my other buzz they are dead. but recharge just fine. I was thinking I needed a new pcb but he seems to think not. any advise?

How old are your batts, Radiated? And do they go dead the same way in both of your Buzzes? How many sets of batts do you have and what are they, powerizers or something else?

they work fine in my new buzz. I think I have 9 sets. 6 sets are powerizers, 3are the trustfires. the 3 sets I'm using right now are power izers. I bought them cause that's what I thought was wrong. they work just fine in my new buzz. so it is isolated to the old buzz.

Do you have a multi meter to test the voltage on your problem Buzz? Something's not right with it for sure if all the batts work fine in your new one. For those few hits that you are getting before the batts die, does the Buzz seem normal, leds working properly?

I have a multi meter. just need to tell me where to connect it. its a little weak on the his but all other aspects are normal

Set it on the 20volt setting, touch the red lead to the top cap center screw, the black lead to the top cap pretty much anywhere. With your third hand, push the fire button I have long fingers so I've gotten good at metering mine!

what is 20 volt is that the red dot or ask the way on high? what should the meter read?

set the meter on it's 20 volt setting, set your Buzz at the middle if you still have the paint markings on your dial. The meter should read around 4.4 to 4.6 with your Buzz set on the yellow mark.

using two fresh batteries both read 4.2 off the charger. tested the buzz read 4.0 dial set to yellow.

Perfect on the batteries. Sounds to me like the problem child needs a trip to Cali. Do you know the RMA routine? And I'm guessing it's beyond the 6 month warranty?

yes I filled out the rma already and was going to mail it to the buzzpital but buzz said you might be able to help... off it goes

Heya Bov!! Have Ms Lori work her magic on my wife's pink BP that I just put in the mail to the buzzpital. Remember the one with the wonky wheel? The tapping and nudging didn't do it. And I didn't want to try too hard and break it more since my son is paying for it. Just remember, nobody let the word out to my son how cheap it is to fix!!!!

Say! Since I'm here, I have a complaint for Mr. Mike! Ok... My good 'ol BP that I won used from a great person here on ECF over 2 years ago!! (So I have no idea when it was born. #113?). The yellow is worn off of my wheel!!! Unbelievable piece of ___ hehehehe!!!!

Haha!!! I never paid attention to the colors anyway. Just dial 'er in! It is unbelievable what this one has been put through. It is still one of my daily vapes. Never leave home without it. Simple, yet sturdy as a tank. That's why my son likes my wife's so much. And my guess is, as you suggested, that he was just plopping the batteries in to hard and eventually knocked something out of alignment on the pinky.
