I suggest any letters to Cornyn (and other Senators who withdrew their cosponsorship of the Kennedy FDA tobacco bill from last session) begin by thanking him for withdrawing their cosponsorship of the Kennedy FDA tobacco bill, and then urge him to support amending the new Kennedy bill to keep electronic cigarettes on the market.

Please note that in the 110th session of Congress (i.e. 2007/08) the bill was being promoted as the Kennedy/Cornyn FDA tobacco legislation.

Rookie, The trouble with Firing the Representive is that the other party, which is no good, automatically gets the job.

We need a valid way to break the two party stranglehold on american politics. Right now we have two choices, and both are lousy.

We need multichoice elections. (I don't count current 3rd parties as choices since they can't get themselves elected.)

I wrote letters to both senators from TX but no response yet...

I have worte both of them 2 times, Cony sent me that stupid response and a newsletter.

K. Huchinson, has not had time I guess, wrote both at the same time. To busy running for governer, well she won't get my vote.

Pres. Obama, sent me a letter about health care. Not what I wrote him about.

LOL, they must all train their staff at the same place, I get unrelated responses from my letters to the NJ Senators all the time. Write them about taxes, get a response about Immigration. Very frustrating.

Chambliss gave you a relevent and honest answer. That was good.

Patty Murray's office (WA) responded to my email asking that she support efforts to keep e-cigarettes legal unless they are proven to be more dangerous than tobacco cigarettes (I used phrases like "life-saving devices" and mentioned that tobacco products are "known to be deadly") by thanking me for my letter and expressing regret at my lack of support for her efforts to legislate tighter controls on the tobacco companies. She then went on to explain that cigarettes kill people. I responded with a rather caustic email suggesting that the responses to her constituents would be better received if someone actually READ the mail, but it bounced because the reply-to address in the email was malformed. Ya gotta love technology...

I received another e-mail from Sen. Cornyn to day, thanking me for commenting on the FDA and tobacco, but he has to save the Kids and I guess Texas has already spent all it's tobacco money on what I don't know because he is worried about medical expenses for medicaid. I have not replied yet. Need to think it over and get over being mad.

At least this time he got a little closer to the topic.

I am vapeing for the American people and the Children what more dose he want. When he does thing for the American people and the Children it counts big. What I do for the American people and the Children don't count for anything. I guess that is the differance between a Poltician and a lowly citizen.
