Well, the news today is rain!
It looks like SecondChance will start getting it today and by tonight it should be moving into East Texas. They are forecasting five to seven inches of rain for us here between tonight and Wednesday and their calling it a severe weather event with flooding and tornadoes. Losing electricity for us is almost a given and if we don't it will be nothing short of amazing.
LOL, we go from not enough to too much!
The biggest problem for us is water. When we lose electricity we lose our water too because we have our own well.
So today I'll be preparing by filling trash cans with water (for flushing) and placing them near the house where they can catch rain water and refill themselves. I'll make sure the generator is near the house and extension cords ready and get the gas burner and gas bottle on the front porch for cooking.
So ... I'm going to be busy, busy busy ... as usual to get everything ready.
I guess I ought to take a good nap and get ready for all that work.
I hope everyone has a happy Monday!

T is keeper of the list (because I am lazy and suffer CRS) - I will have to let her know in case she doesn't backread.
We will have to create a Pokey App before long to keep up with them all, lol.
Yodagizmo - definitely a keeper for future use.

We also have a well and not being able to hook the pump up to the generator is a PITA for sure. We have a two person jacuzzi tub and another pretty deep bath tub that we fill for flushing.
I have several large stock pots that we fill for drinking water along with every container available.
Yikes, it is such a PITA to do though. I so wish that city water lines would be placed in our area because I would tap in to it just to not have to go through all of that. The real kicker is that it is available on our street, it stops a few houses (farms) down in either direction
