Wow, I hadn't thought about all that Sdh. I know there are advantages to having a well. I guess if I would pay for one of those whole-house generators it would be money better spent than paying the Water Company $5,000.oo just to run a water line to our place and then having to pay their monthly bill and filtration system on top of that. We already have a propane tank to run the generator. Hummmm, I'm going to have to talk to honey girl about this.

We use a faucet filter in the kitchen, but that's the only place we use one.

TT

TT, you can have an extra breaker put in at the breaker box that you can hook your generator up to.
You, (we) would need a 220 amp to be able to run the well pump from.

We actually have the 220 amp and could run it if needed.

TT our village water is hard and full of crap. We do have to run a whole house filter. We have a second one for purification and it goes to the kitchen sink (separate faucet) and the ice maker. We had to pay 2000 dollars when we built the house back in 92/93 to connect to village water/sewer. DH says we should just drill for water but it's illegal in the village. One cannot fart without someone tellin on ya!

We need to get a reverse osmosis system here but our water is pretty good. It is a little on the hard side but the taste is far better than city water around here.

We rented while we were building this house and I kid you not that there is so much chlorine in the city water here that our showers would stay clean from it. We would get out of the shower with our eyes beet red from it. As soon as we would turn a faucet on, the entire house smelled like chlorine. It is that bad.

Wow! Those are big ones! I seen something like the one in the photo (amazon) on craigs list once upon a time. If I lived out in the country I would buy one. However, having a smaller lot in the village I have no place to put it. I have two 40 gallon barrels sitting outside to hook up.I need to get something done so I can have a klondike bar later.

Sorry T, but you are biased, as you are Playmate's friend and keeper of the list. I have to declare your vote as being null and void. :p

Now, back to the unbiased voting. :D

Of course you would say that, TV. You are a woman and Playmate is a woman, it's logical that you would take her side. I have to declare your vote as being null and void, also. :p

Now, back to the unbiased voting. :D

Ok, we finally have one unbiased vote. :D Thank you for your input, TT. :thumb:

Oh, I see how it's gonna be  slaphead.gifimages-4.jpeg

DL, check Craigslist for better prices. You are also able to get smaller if you want.
