Just asked honey girl for an early breakfast so that I could get out there and do a little work on the tractor and then get on the lawn mower and get after the yard. Its getting pretty squargelly looking again and wifey was the one that said it needed to be mowed ... so the least she could do is feed me first. Right? Right!
From the extended weather report it looks like its going to stay in the mid-80's for the foreseeable future with a ten or fifteen per cent chance of rain every day - which means no rain. I hope we're not slipping back into that drought business again!

TT, we are having record breaking temps here Supposed to be around 90 for the next week.
This is going to be one brutal summer for sure.

I like to say a few things.
Form a line ( no cutting ) you will all get your chance.
Have shoes on or you may hurt your toes.
Im going to bend over so each one of you can give me a 1 good swift kick in the backside for buying not 1 but 2 vivi nova tanks.
Ive read tons of reviews both good and bad about these right here on ecf and how folks have solved this and that with them and some like me nothing worked.
Cut the wicks, preburn the wicks, preburn the coil, needs time to break in etc etc etc etc and more etc.
I even took it completely apart pulled the 510 connector out looked at the air holes , on purpose pulled out the coil to break it and see what makes it tick after all it comes with 3 complete coils and with 2 units i have 6 coils.
If just vaping normally it gives a burnt taste or hardly any taste and i have tried 100%pg, 90pg/10vg , 80pg/20vg and 70pg/30vg vendors e-liquid and my home made e-liquid. I even broke in one coil with some of my most caramel coil clogging e-liquid i have direct dripping onto it firing the coil in a relentless fashion while watching TV and vaping something else while getting funny looks from the Misses.
Nothing for me works PERIOD.
So get in line and take advantage cause next time i wait instead of jumping on the bandwagon.

I have only opened 1 out of the 5 and been useing my favorite homemade 70pg/30vg e-liquid.
On 3rd refill yes i been vaping very heavy last several days with these new items to test em.
First time fill just like one is suppose to upside down and no problem first half tank e-liquid taste was muted then flavor starting kicking in well.
To date i can lay my device sideways , upside down, stand on my head well have not tried that one yet but i cannot get it to gurgle ie:flood the airtube nor get any in the mouthpiece - im very surprised.
Its working excellent but again im only on the 3rd refill and as i type this i need to refill it again cause tanks tube is darn near empty but getting .
In all fairness its only the first one out of 5 in the pack as i have read others experience here on ecf one will work good then the next one in the 5 pack not so good so i mention this here.
Im going to fill several more to see what happens.
Also curious how long these will last and how the coil take to a good cleaning when it starts to eventually get gummed up.
Here are pictures of it and as you can see the e-liquid is almost spend and not 1 burnt taste .
So in short 1 tested out of 5 and so far im can say im very happy with the 1 im currently useing but its early yet.
As i vape them i will let you all know how its going with them for the curious.

I understand but take for example the vision stone tank.I am sorry DL!
First one came out i tried -no good
Second one came out i tried - no good
Now someone in there right mind would have thought fool me once shame on you , fool me twice shame on me.
Well third one came out and there went Dies to put it in his cart and click place order.
outcome - no good.
Now im thinking they may eventually revise the vivi nova as well who knows.
But i will be on the sidelines waiting instead of jumping in until i see all positive.
I will say one thing they got right with the vivi nova and its just my opinion cause like i kindly mentioned it seems like its working for a few they got one thing right with this new type of setup.
It does not flood the airtube least for me and i like how easy it is to change out the coils but i cant get past that otherwise.

I am liking the Stardust. My son sent it to me because it wouldn't work right for him.
Glad the phoenix is working for you and hope it is continuing to do so.
I have yet to find anything that the taste is as good as it is with dripping, but the Stardust is close for me.

Great reviews, DL! You seem to be very good at reviewing products as well as juice. I like the fact that you are right to the point and there is no excess stuff in your posts to weed through.
I know that they will be very helpful to many people.

You've just got my curiosity piqued and looking for the short answers.
Darn i wish i would have read this before i took the second phoenix apart as i would have showed you detail pictures of the parts inside.
The tube is a some sort of plastic Pokey and one can squeeze it slightly if a lot of pressure is applied with fingers so not a hard type plastic.
Here is what i did and learned it from the video as i mistakenly put in some homemade juice that i messed up and started vaping.
Used syringe needle only to insert in fill hole and pry that silicone cap off and put aside, turned the phoenix upside down and taped it on my desk and metal machined tube falls out leaving the coil assembly connected to 510 connector intact and still in tube.
With glasses i observed down in tube the coil which has wick coming out each side that are very short, the coil had about 6 to 7 wraps. No filler at all like them cartomizers
To clean out any old liquid taste i fill with water and blow thru mouthpiece end bunch of times then shake like one shakes an old thermometer to read body temp.
I then dry tube with tissue.
Fire coil in short burst afterwards and it helps somewhat dry the wicks from the water just not completely.
Drop metal tube onto coil assembly and used only the needles other end the plastic end not the pointy needle and pushed the tube until it snapped in place.
Now with fingers i insert the cast aside silicone filler piece into tube and then using needles opposite end i push that down over the airtube as it fits over the center hole of airtube and little hole in silicone filler piece nice and snug.
I then filled as instructed the phoenix upside down and vaped and it vaped well as the first phoenix i been using from package.
Yes a normal 510 tip will fit the tube,as a note a small syringe , 2 needles, and a somewhat hard rubber normal looking rubber mouth piece comes in package .
I dont like rubber so i use my mouthpiece for it.

As a note Lord Davon seems to really like the phoenix while at this point i agree i still have to use them more till im completely satisfied thats just me.
The vision stone worked like a champ for 1 week for me then it started leaking at the bottom caps threads which was easily fixed with an arry spare o- ring but i could not stop the gurgling and leaking out the connector and also e-liquid coming into the top cap well and into my mouth.
So i just vape them more and learn from past experience .
Hope this helps give some idea's .

Thank you Dies for your sharing. I am on dial-up, so no video watching for me. Not too bad when it comes to just a review of a product, but when it comes to taking apart, cleaning, etc it is a real pita. Thank you for the detailed instructions and pics. Let use know how it goes down the road.
