Did the sub pump ever kick in? We had a small backup once and had to run the fans, use dehumidifier, and open basement windows. Luckily it did not get into the finished part of the basement. It did take weeks for the concrete to dry. I could not imagine what your going though with your flood. Stay safe and watch the area for mold/mildew.

Oly-hope you can get rid of the smell and all dried out sooner instead of later. Know it must smell awful.....

Looks like SC has been out prowling around and just got here....

Ok, I need some beauty sleep....think it'll take more then one nite though.

We had the sump pump replaced and dug about 2 feet of sand out of the sump pit. We are thinking once the dampness is all gone trying to use some of the carpet fresh powder or something.

SDH, it is funny you said brain fried.

I hope you still don't have it chimney as well as your other sister and niece...
After your research even, you best get it checked out again. You never know when things might change and these things pop up. Please keep us informed.....

I'm trying to figure out the best way to get the necessary tests, because I have Medicare.
